Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, July 02, 2007

In the midst of the most drastic political collapse in a generation, President Bush has been summoning leading authors, historians, philosophers and theologians -- looking for an explanation for his predicament. "You don't get any feeling of somebody crouching down in the bunker," said Irwin M. Stelzer, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute who was part of one group of scholars who met with Bush. "This is either extraordinary self-confidence or out of touch with reality. I can't tell you which."

Another good WP article: www.washingtonpost.com

Winston would drub Dubya.

Anything said in any of these articles about Bush that wasn't visible to anyone that WANTED to look eight years ago?

Do Americans need clowns to wear greasepaint before they're actually seen as such?

Hahahaha does my heart good to read about his many failures. Stupid rethuglicans should be ashamed of voting for him.

I'm going to avoid piling on. After the past 6+ years of rompin' stompin' ineptitude, we all need to take stock of how we're going fix this mess. Crowing about what a pinhead George43 is will accomplish nothing, and he's done such a terrific job of dividing us already.

I am reminded of an SNL skit many years ago with Dan Akroyd as Richard Nixon wandering the halls of the White House. He pauses in front of a portrait of Abraham Lincoln and then asks "Why are these things happening to ME?" Lincoln replies "Because you are such a dip."

Hahahaha does my heart good to read about his many failures. Stupid rethuglicans should be ashamed of voting for him.

Do you realy love seeing your country slide down this slope? Are you sick? What is so great about seeing someone fail? Much to do with the hate that is spewed daiuly.

"Do you realy love seeing your country slide down this slope?"

Then you agree that the country has gone down hill under Bush's "leadership". Good - that's a nice first step in recovery.

And no, nobody loves seeing what he has done to our country. That is what we have been trying to get you all to wake up to for the last several years. Finally the majority of the country has awakened.

And yes, I think we all secretly enjoy seeing a smug, sanctimonious bully finally get the punch in the face he deserves.

How are you liking it Sniper?

Do you support it?

Snipe,

It was quite obvious to any thinking person not clouded by party and false patriotism that GW was a disaster in the making. The "if you knock the President then you must hate America" tact faux conservatives use in place of true debate doesn't work anymore. The majority now knows what a mistake this man
was, and is. The majority does not hate America. They just hate what this clown and his machivelli dick-shit
have done to a "once" great nation. We'll be great again,
once these criminals are denounced and trounced.

Do you realy love seeing your country slide down this slope? Are you sick? What is so great about seeing someone fail? Much to do with the hate that is spewed daiuly.

We could ask you the same thing, you're the one supports the architect of the slope.

Do you realy love seeing your country slide down this slope? Are you sick?

YEAH!

In typical Fake Plastic "conservative" fashion, snipe asks the question he should have asked circa 2004!
But that wouldn't have gotten Bush reelected now would it!

Instead his ilk offered "The World is Safer thru Bush's leadership" and "Democracy Brings Peace" and the now classic comedy routine of "Police Work Doesn't Stop Terrorism"!

I wasn't aware this is news to anyone.

You are right. After reading the article, I felt sorry for W. He really has no one to rescue him from failure this time. Wait! -- Perhaps Jenna and Laura. They were a great hit on their recent trip to Africa. If there were a positive legacy that Dubya could leave, it would be for the basic decency of his family. If I were his advisor, I would have him NOW start to distance himself from the militarists in his administration, and embrace a world-wide effort to promote US goodwill. In 18 months he has just enought time to convert his evident caretaker term into a US & Rest-of-the-World lovefest. His wife and daughter have shifted that way, which is a good start.

"If there were a positive legacy that Dubya could leave, it would be for the basic decency of his family."

YEAH!
Does that include Barbara "they got it good down in NO" Bush as well?

Anyway, It's my understanding it's not all that difficult to raise two drunken slut!

We've been pointing out the blind liberal hatred of Bush here for a while, but its really just too easy when you have to attack his children like this, or BuffaloBob calls his father a pedophile...

Really makes you guys look pathetic...

"Hahahaha does my heart good to read about his many failures. Stupid rethuglicans should be ashamed of voting for him."

The Democrats have pretty much supported him every step of the way. With the exception of Meiers', who was opposed by members of both parties, I can't think of any major issue where they fought Bush with any more than empty rhetoric. The voting records of Democrat house members looks almost exactly like Repulibcans'.

You should be ashamed if you voted for either party that supports Bush.

Hatred of Dubya I'm willing to concede, but blind it it's not. The cause every thinking person has been able to see since 2001. Seeing it does not constitute enjoyment of one's country sinking into the toilet. Indeed, that's a tragedy of untold proportion. But a little bit of laughter helps stave off the tears. herm

Steltzer can't tell you which????????

All anybody has to do is read, listen and REMEMBER. If you can't do that the Daily Show provides recorded refreshers on a regular basis which even a TV Nation can understand.

YEAH!

Says the "Chelsea Clinton is fair game" attack dog!

Now if only I wasn't a registered republican up to 2004 and hadn't voted for Bush in 2000!

Anyway,

"Limbaugh plays hardball partisan politics, and like so many of his fellow pundits, he sticks pretty close to the conservative party line, hacking it up with the best of em. He played a particularly dirty game during the Clinton years, taking aim not only at Bill Clinton, but at the entire Clinton family.
Apparently, as vicious as his smear campaign was, it wasn't vicious enough unless he attacked a unwitting child, showing a picture of 13-year-old Chelsea on his television show, and announcing it was a photograph of "the White House dog."

OOPS!

Now I suppose if I hadn't called them drunken sluts (which is untrue because they are) and instead called them the "white house dogs" you would have been all fine with that!

Every repulsican who has supported and defended the disasters this idiot in the White House has perpetrated on the United States can step right up next to him and take responsibility along with him. He could have only had 4 years to destroy our country...the repulsican Kool-Aid drinkers gave him another 4 to wreak his havoc. Good going, everyone. Now why don't YOU try putting Humpty Dumpty together again?

Investigate. Indict. Impeach. Imprision.

Democrats hopes wishful thinking.

No impeachment, no recall, no vote of confidence.

I'd say things will go merrily along just as they have for the last 6 1/2 years with dems bitching the whole way.

Bush turns left dems bitch, Bush turns right dems bitch, Bush does this and dems bitch, Bush does that and dems bitch. Dems just like to bitch no matter what happens.

We've been pointing out the blind liberal hatred of Bush here for a while,

We weren't too blind to see the massive military and security failure on 9-11. Or a panicked Bush sitting with a bunch of kids for seven minutes while thousands did.
We weren't too blind to see Tora Bora, or Bush's support for a taliban safe haven in Pakistan.
We weren't too blind to see Bush's covering for his saudi paymasters after 9-11.
We weren't too blind to see Bush walk away from afghanistan, now on the verge of its own civil war.
We weren't too blind to see Bush's abject failures in Iraq, or recognise the BS of "Mission Accomplished".
We weren't too blind to see the failure of response to Katrina, other than somebody did a "heck of a job".

I want to see more failures, more disasters, more former supporters repudiating Bush. Now we need more consequences to befall Cheney. I want some of his corporate playmates to disown him. All these things are good -- because they make the planned coup less likely to succeed.

"Bush turns left dems bitch, Bush turns right dems bitch, Bush does this and dems bitch, Bush does that and dems bitch."
Posted by YouKnewWho at 2007-07-02 03:15 PM

YEAH!

The glaring omission here is WHEN DID YOU BITCH?

Oh, that's right ---- never!
No matter what --- you never intervened in this folly of stupidity that you not only witnessed, but then excused!

You enabled! You participated! You excused and what that means is simple!

You are then COMPLICIT in the outcome!

Now I know, your gonna come back and say "I didn't support Bush in EVERYTHING he did" which then further illustrates the depth of your shameless hypocrisy in accusing "dems" (now code word for anyone who questions the Fake Plastic Imposters) of being the only ones "bitching".

The thing I find increasingly discomforting is the fact that Bush has to search for answers as to why this is all happening:

"One at a time or in small groups, he summons leading authors, historians, philosophers and theologians to the White House to join him in the search".

Always looking outward for answers to why people don't like him and why his world is turning to sh*t. Is it denial? Or, martyrdom? Complete detachment from reality?

I sure hope that he is either impeached, or at least makes it to the end of his term before he self implodes ...

This guy has his finger on the "new-cue-ler" trigger, for God's sake ...

Redneckville: Good article on Jenna as goodwill ambassador: news.aol.com

More recent news on Jenna and Laura

In Mali they succeed as Goodwill Abasssdors: www.columbian.com

And Jenna's new book is meaningful, well-written and good: popwatch.ew.com and jezebel.com

I am well aware of the disastrous past years
of the bush administration and have no hope at all for the coming months.
Rather than tieng up the governmental process with impeachment proceedings for the balance of his tenure we, the country, would be much better off if the Democratic party devoted it's energy to minimizing future ineptitudes and casting a plan for re-establishing American credibility, integrity, constitutionality and solvency..

Well it looks like she can pick ghostwriters better than Poppy can pick SECDEF's.

Question: Which one would you rather do, Jenna or Barbara?

I pick Barbara because Jenna looks too much like Dubya.

Yeah but I'll bet Jenna got Duuuhbya's brains.

YEAH!

More Made for TV bush bullshit reality!

Yup, and on Survivor they are really having to "survive" too!

If he had studied the works of "leading authors, historians, philosophers and theologians" as a young man he would have been able to apply them in politics, business or a profession. Instead he spent his time hitting the bottle, doing drugs and generally failing at everything he touched.

He was then rescued and used by wealthy rightnuts with an agenda based on greed and jingoism -- they call it American exceptionalism. They groomed him and manipulated the system so they could grab the presidency.

Through a series of events barely credible in retrospect he was installed as president and then actually elected for a second term despite his frequently demonstrated unfitness for the job and the disastrous consequences of the rightnut agenda.

Now 6.5 years into his and our disaster and forty years too late he discovers "leading authors, historians, philosophers and theologians". He dreams that they can provide him with solutions to the problems he caused by his previous ignorance of them.

All this proves is that he still doesn't get it. The problem is him, his cronies and the rightnuts. It can't be solved till he and they are gone.

I only hope Bush steals all the furniture going out the door like the Clintons did.

The Clintons are kind of like rednecks stealing towels at the motel 6.

I honestly feel bad for the guy. Maybe I'm completely out of touch with reality, but I really truly believe that in the beginning, W did what he truly believed was the right thing for the country. Problem is, once everyone else noticed that it wasn't, we refused to see what the rest of us saw. Imagine if you were in his shoes. I'd be pretty depressed.

All this proves is that he still doesn't get it. The problem is him, his cronies and the rightnuts. It can't be solved till he and they are gone.

How do you propose to get rid of all those who don't think like you, er, all the "rightnuts"? Kill 'em off? Breed 'em out? Send 'em all to Iraq?

Why does the rest of the world seem to hate America? Or is it just me they hate?

The rest of the world doesn't hate the American public... though it knows some of us were complicit in your election little man.

"... I really truly believe that in the beginning, W did what he truly believed was the right thing for the country."

I don't believe that. Not by a long shot. Bush has been a tool of his corporate masters, of Cheney and Rove, from the (pardon me) gitgo. I doubt very much that the ability to consider what's best for the country has ever been part of his psychological profile. herm

Hm.., may be you should be careful to use "pathetic"...

I am reminded once again of that Song that was in Grease, The one where that fucking skank floozy and John Travolta was dancing to on the Gymnasium Floor. How low can He go or How low will He go well shit You know which song I am refering to that's all that matters. All I can say is HOW LOW WILL HE GO. Can't get much lower than whale shit.

Coyote I believe YouKnewWho is BOX ITCH AKA Lurchy just for Your information.

"If there were a positive legacy that Dubya could leave, it would be for the basic decency of his family."

A better legacy would have been not wasting the basic decency of 3500 other Americans on a lie and an inept war.

It would now appear a combination of the results the wars, Gonzales, and the three crimes in one with the Wilsons in the center stage have three things in common (now Libby front and center stage)-the administration kept trying to cover up the truth and lying about it. I would like to see internal polling among his own party. My guess is his internal popularity figures would be even lower than the 28% in the last set of polls and he should be getting closer to rivaling Nixon's approval ratings-I see nobody including soldiers who are now leaving the war as being among his supporters

As Commander in Chief, could W unilaterally decide to attack any of the countries on the neocon hit list? If he did, under false pretenses or in response to real threats, who could stop him? And if his defiant streak runs as deep as one thinks, is it dangerous for the nation that he and Cheney remain in office?

A good response to W's questions: www.huffingtonpost.com

bush is farse...the left says he is stupid, yet he has managed to dismantle much of America in his quest to erase the borders and the Country...he has opened two fronts one in Iraq and one at our southern border...hitler would be proud of W he has shown his true contempt for the American citizen..and yet the democrats are no better.... no matter how low the popularity of Bush he is ALWAYS more popular than our congress..go figure, the people are tired of the bullshit from each side.
