I am glad she is out. It is a terrible place to be. It is dirty, people are rude, and there is no privacy.
Good for you Paris! YOU GO GIRL.

American Ju$tice at it's finest.

What a crock o' shit.

Medical reasons? They must have known about her STD's before she was admitted.

Well, there goes the only argument I could think of to keep Gitmo open. I kinda wanna barf, but I'm sure this provides a ray of light for Scooter.

Fucking cunt

Larry

Any bets on she doesn't make it 40 days without being caught in a bar somewhere?
I'm guessing her medical condition was withdrawl,or drying out DTs.

Maybe one of the female inmates rubbed her the wrong way.

So she can party and party and have no issues. Yet 3 days in jail is too much.

Somebody was bought off.

Maybe the rest of the "ladies" voted her off the island?

How do you feel about Paris Hilton getting out of jail early? * 12232 responses

It's a joke. If it was me I'd still be sitting in there.

It seems justified. Three days is a long time without a Blackberry.

It would have been nice if she did some real hard time, like maybe a week.

Soon to be released: "3 night's in Paris too!" directed by Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore.

It is so nice to see that Justice is blind in America.
Now if mercy can be shown for Scooter who is going to miss his children...sniff, sniff....it's so sad, his poor children, doesn't anyone care about children....FREE SCOOTER!!!!

"So she can party and party and have no issues. Yet 3 days in jail is too much."

Yep, the dim bulb was working the red carpet the night before she went in.

But you know, Lindsay Lohan has already said she can't wait for her 21st birthday bash as soon as she gets out of rehab. There was just no way Paris was gonna miss that.

FREE SCOOTER!

"privacy rules prohibited him from giving details about the medical issues, but celebrity Web site TMZ.com earlier quoted sources saying Hilton was refusing to eat much of the jail food served her."

The best justice money can buy. Just another fine example of the 2 Americas.

People are taking their anger out on her, like she has anything to do with the 'justice' system that just let her out.

Our system is broken, this proves it. We are a joke, and all the while keep telling ourselves we are 'the best' or 'number one' instead of fixing the jokes we have become.

Nice.

OK, do they not have clinics in jail? Or are they only for "the little people" ? This is bullshit.

Democrats do things wrong when they go after the rich for not paying their fair share of taxes. They would get a lot more support if they started talking about the "soft-on-the rich legal system."

It is so nice to see that Justice is blind in America.
I agree. Its reminds me of a parable in which a high ranking public official was caught lying to a federal grand jury and nothing happened.

from scooter to paris... tis all the same....

from a movie entitled, 'o lucky man' from the 70z... alan price's lyrics to 'justice'.

We all want justice but you got to have the money to buy it
You'd have to be a fool to close your eyes and deny it
There's a lot of poor people who are walking the streets of my town
Too blind to see that justice is used to do them right down

All life from beginning to end
You pay your monthly installments
Next to health is wealth
And only wealth will buy you justice

There'll always be a fool who insists on taking his chances
And that is the man who believes in true love romances
He will trust and rely on the goodness in human nature
Now a judge will tell you that's a pathetic creature

All life from beginning to end
You pay your monthly installments
Next to health is wealth
And only wealth will buy you justice

Money, justice
Money and justice
Money, justice

Spud originally sed she would serve from 2 days to 2 weeks.

5 whole days.

There, that oughta convince the masses that the American Ju$tice $y$tem isn't based on cla$$ but guilt.

Not!

In America just being poor is a reason to go to jail and just being rich is a reason to avoid jail.

Be Well.

Released for health reasons, mental health reasons. Paris Hilton is crazy as hell.

Comments by AL Sharpton:
"Though I have nothing but empathy for Ms. Hilton whom I have met and appeared with on Saturday Night Live the night I hosted in 2003, this early release gives all of the appearances of economic and racial favoritism that is constantly cited by poor people and people of color. There are any number of cases of people who handle being incarcerated badly and even have health conditions that are not released.

I have served several sentences for civil rights and civil disobedience actions and I even fasted which caused health concerns to prison authorities who paid for a doctor to come see me daily rather than release me. This act smacks of the double standards that many of us raise

Money will buy you freedom, but I find it interesting that he doesn't mention the rich Black athletes that regularly get over on the system for doing illegal things.

Did anyone catch the Paris interview where she makes the comment that "she's trying to cope and is being brave" or some bullshit like that? What a fucking child.

Kind of reminds me of when OJ killed his ex-wife and her boyfriend and got away with it, then signed a book deal and made all his money back.

I hope one day I have enough money to buy off the right people so I can do whatever the hell I want to do without fear of punishment or consequences.

Nice to know that you can now drive on a suspended license, in California now.

If you get arrested, just tell them you have a medical problem.

Well you have 6-7 million illegal aliens living in Calf collecting benefits, so why are you suprised?

Are you more of afraid of a socialite driving on a suspended license or a illegal alien gang member?

So she went on a 'hunger strike' and got out? Just like that?
Complete bullshit. Every single average American would still be sitting in that cell.

Black athletes aren't the only athletes that have avoided jail time....please don't take this there. Besides, I'd suggest he had that in mind when making the comment "poor people and people of color". While the athletes may be people of they certainly aren't poor.

WOW! Just as I suspected. The rich, stupid, and insipid really are different!

Paris Freed, Rosie and the View, Hillary/Barack, global warming, all distractions. While the mainstream media creates illusions, der fuhrer steps on our throats by opening our mail, arresting reporters for asking about 9/11 (Lepacek) and convicting reporters for exposing 9/11 (Chris Bollyn), suspending habeas corpus, stealing private lands, banning books like "America Deceived" from Amazon, rigging elections, conducting warrantless wiretaps and starting wars for a foriegn gov't. Soon, the sinking of an Aircraft Carrier(by Mossad) will occur and the US will 'retaliate' against Iran. Which AIPAC-lobbying country benefit's from that?

Please don't try to construe my comment as being prejudice. Since Al wanted to make this a racial issue this is simply an argument that can be made against his comments.

You are correct, there have been plenty of other athletes that have avoided jail time because of their stature. However when Sharpton mentions racial favoritism he is blatantly making this a black and white issue and I simply am pointing out that rich blacks get over on the system as well. He is simply picking his facts to influence people and not conveying the whole truth...

Two letters for Sharpton...OJ.
After his disgusting performance in regards to Imus I really don't give a crap what Sharpton has to say about anything.

Danni, I couldn't agree more.... But of course, in order for Sharpton to make money there has to be race involved. Otherwise he and the rest of those idiots would be broke...

Racism exists, no doubt there, however, any race at any time can find racism happening. The majority of it is perception.

Thats one of the funniest things I've heard today. Illegal aliens represent a trampling of the US justice system. They are in the country illegally and most do not pay income tax, state or federal. According to Sen Kennedy, most have committed forgery as well. And your worried about a socialite driving on a suspended license. How many illegals do not have drivers license or insurance?

We should welcome all who come into the country legally. We should also make it alot easier to legally come to work in the US.

Say no to Amnesty, don't reward criminals.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Paris Hilton's medical condition was purely psychological and that she was in peril of having a nervous breakdown, and that's why she was released early this morning.

Boy, talk about setting precedence.

If that is true then everyone who had a hand in that decision to release her needs to be removed. THATS A CROCK OF BS!!!!!!!!

Boy, talk about setting precedence.

No kidding. Now I know if I ever go to jail to just have a "nervous breakdown" and they'll let me go stay at home.

It doesn't say much for either the genetic makeup or the personal attitudes of the Hilton family if Paris is on the verge of a 'mental breakdown' after only 3 nights of isolation from the rest of society. Of course there could be another explanation.

On the drive-time this morning the speculation was that she was suffering from 'withdrawal' symptoms, and not just from the 'celebrity scene' but perhaps something a little more serious.

OCU

Now I know if I ever go to jail...
Only if you go to jail for driving while having a suspended drivers license.

Most peaple would have received a couple of hundred dollars fine.

You seem to be confusing the issues: the illegals are BREAKING the law. If they are committing forgery, they are BREAKING the law, Paris walking out is a PERVERSION of the law and denotes a justice system that is no longer just.

I'm sure there are tons of illegals driving without a license, but that has nothing to do with the point I made. You might be angry about it, but it is not an indication of a flawed Justice system as much as it is an indication of failed enforcement. Now what Bush decided to do with his amnesty is maybe a travesty of the law to some, but why don't you take that up with your good buddy, huh?

****************
What is that suppose to mean? If you don't want to hear what he has to say, then don't listen. I don't agree with him or his motives all the time but there are times when he is just as right as the next person. And if you're implying that because OJ was acquitted then no person of color can ever complain then you are sadly misinformed. We need to not talk about the 2 different justice systems in America--one for white and the other for people of color. Do you deny that exists? If you do then you are in a different world.

It seems if someone speaks up on the basis of the racial disparities in this society they are immediately labeled racist themselves. Nothing can be further from the truth. Al's statement was in defense of not only people of color but POOR people also. That group includes people from all races.

Paris walking out is a PERVERSION of the law and denotes a justice system that is no longer just.
Your wrong. How many people do you know or can name that have been sent to jail for driving on a suspended license? The judge can set the sentance in order to get his name in the papers. The reason most do not walk out of the jails is they are a threat to society. Are you threatened by her?

I'm sure there are tons of illegals driving without a license, but that has nothing to do with the point I made.
It has everything to do with the point you are making. Your arguing she is receiving special treatment by having her sentance changed. Do you not think she was prosecuted more strictly because of who she is? Why would someone serve jail time for driving on a suspended license?

Only if you go to jail for driving while having a suspended drivers license.

Most peaple would have received a couple of hundred dollars fine.

No, she got arrested for violating her probation, the suspended drivers license was just a small piece of the pie.

She was sentenced to 45 days for driving on a suspended license. For a first time custodial sentence that is harsh. It normally takes 6 or 7 screwups like that for an average person to land jail time. Even then you are only looking at 30 days. And you get all the options too, home confinement, alternative jails, work release, etc...

Then people forget that there is a serious shortage of jail beds in LA County, people charged with crimes like manslaughter and robbery get release on their own recognizance. And everyone is bitching about a home confinement on a driving while suspended ? WTF ?

You would rather have an armed robber walking around than Paris Hilton confined in her home?, at least you can laugh at what a complete media whore she is. She is not liable to shoot you while you are at the ATM.

I didn't post this to defend Paris, but to just cynically look the situation.

I am glad that bed is freed up, now maybe they can put a violent criminal in it for a change.

Oh, I do think that most of the posters here would rather have Paris in that bed than a violent criminal. You all are just a different kind of media whore.

We need to not talk about the 2 different justice systems in America--one for white and the other for people of color.
Its not a race issue, its based on your ability to earn money.

Rich black athletes walk all the time. Poor whites are in the same boat as poor blacks. Poor blacks just commit more crimes on other poor blacks.

No, she was not sentenced to 45 days for driving on a suspended license. She was sentenced to 45 days for violating her probation.

"Hilton was sentenced to 45 days for violating her probation in a reckless driving case, but had been expected to serve 23 days in jail because of state rules allowing shorter sentences for good behavior."

"Al's statement was in defense of not only people of color but POOR people also. That group includes people from all races."

And more whites than blacks.

"""Why would someone serve jail time for driving on a suspended license?""""

That's not why she was sentenced sherlock.

Hilton was sentenced to 45 days for violating her probation in a reckless driving case, but had been expected to serve 23 days in jail because of state rules allowing shorter sentences for good behavior."

And wasn't a seperate DUI in play regarding this as well?

Who cares about Iraq, the fact that Turkey is ready to invade Iraq and set off a nations-wide war in the Middle East, that our Senate is getting ready to sell out America and destroy our sovereignty and borders as they vote on their illegal immigration shamnesty bill, that Bush is ready to destroy our nation with his stealth push for a North American Union, that more than 3 million jobs have been outsourced overseas, that COMMUNIST China is funding the money for Bush's illegal war and we are in hock up to our collective necks, or that Bush and Cheney still have their trigger fingers on the nuke button with Iran in the crosshairs --

NOTHING ELSE MATTERS 'CAUSE

PARIS IS FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Yes Rich black and white athletes get over all the time. YES there are 2 justice systems. But they are broken into one for the haves and one for the have nots. Just like slick mentioned poor whites get hosed in the system as well...

SLBOW43, Sharpton is making this a black and white issue when he mentions racism. He states that this rich white girl gets over on the system.. Now his statement is there implying that she got over because she is white...

Simply stating that rich blacks get over all the time as well is a comparison to the situation...

But they are broken into one for the haves and one for the have nots.

Like Mike Vick and Dog fighting? Christ, he hasn't even been charged yet.

BS, for the average person you have screwup 6 or 7 times before you would draw a custodial sentence. Even then you would be given all the options-- Home Confinement, Work release, alternative jails. The judge specifically refused these for her ? why ? Because he wanted to make an example of her because she is famous. So your arguments that $ or fame were responsible for the release is just more of your media whore BS.

The average person would not have received that sentence and even if they did, they would have been offered all the options. End of story.

You would rather see a violent criminal released than Paris. Bottom line.

You are the media whore.

And wasn't a seperate DUI in play regarding this as well?

Beats me, but it certainly wouldn't come as a shock.

If there were no media in America, there would be no Paris Hilton.

JJDJ.

Wait a minute, that makes sense.

Arguing that "[p]robation is a privilege and not a right," Los Angeles prosecutors filed this motion to revoke Paris Hilton's probation stemming from her September 27, 2006 DUI charges. Hilton pleaded no contest in January 2007 to reckless driving charges stemming from the incident. A judge sentenced her to 3 years of probation, ordered her mandatory attendance at an alcohol education program, and that she pay fines of $1,500.

Second, she had several traffic violations after receiving probation. On February 27, 2007, she was stopped by L.A. Sheriff Deputies for driving "a new Bentley" at 70 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone "in darkness without her headlights on," and without a valid driver's license. Hilton's license had been suspended by California&rsquos; Department of Motor Vehicles in November 2006 for having an "Excessive Blood Alcohol Level."

Finally, prosecutors argued, Hilton failed to "obey all laws and orders of the Court," another condition of her probation.

But according to prosecutors, Hilton violated at least three terms of her probation. First, she failed to enroll in an alcohol education course within 21 days of her sentencing.

Shame on me for not supporting Paris.

Vick is being convicted in the court of public opinion, not in the legal system.

But you make a point, He is a rich athlete, and is being treated as such. If he is guilty he will most likely get community service, a huge fine, probation and if he even does get sentenced to jail time he will most likely be able to serve it in the off season.

ff for spaulding

I'm sure all the other inmates will want ankle braclets and be let out too.

And now, they will stand a better chance of getting it. I hope that every person in the county jail under similar conditions petitions to be released because of medical reasons.

Personally, I believe that the only people that should be behind bars are those that have committed a violent crime, are a threat to themselves or to others, are a flight risk, stolen from the elderly or have failed to abide by the terms of their "reassignment". Criminals that are "reassigned" to house arrest should also be made to do some form of community service for the duration of their house arrest.

God this pisses Me off to no end. It was on June 04 1992 at 11:45 that one Lawrence Mohr entered into the Sumner County Jail Kansas for violating His Probation. That Person had to serve His FULL Sentences and did not get out until November 30th 1992 at 11:47 and 35 seconds. This fucking cunt goes 5 Days and She goes Bonkers?? BULLSHIT. She is just a lil sissy girl would can't hack adult responsibilities. She should be back in Jail and I hope the Judge does Send Her back. What a rotten excuse She is.

BS, for the average person you have screwup 6 or 7 times before you would draw a custodial sentence.

I have to violate my parole 6 or 7 times before I go to jail? What state do you live in?

You would rather see a violent criminal released than Paris. Bottom line.

What a bunch of nonsense. Of course we wouldn't, but we would like to see Paris actually serve a sentence. 23 days? Come on, what a baby.

ARmyof1,

I see your point but disagree with your assessment that " rich blacks get over all the time as well." I can name a few for you that went straight to jail and deservedly so.

In any event this Paris Hilton issue is lack of justice. And she did get treated different and I believe the primary reason she was treated differently is NOT because she was white but because she is filthy rich.

It is not about supporting Paris. I think she is a total waste of space.

The post agree with on the thread is that there are things a thousand timesmore important than this for the media to cover. Turkey invade Iraq! anyone?

A possible attack on Iran, anyone?

No, people just want to spout BS lies about this Paris. Thing when, bottom line the sentence was harsh, and releasing her to put a violent criminal in that bed was the right thing to do.

I am just calling all you BS media whores on that.

I mean WTF, you would rather have thousands of marijuana smokers in jail than violent pedophiles. Where is the sanity in this system?

I blame the American people. Americans, by and large, (and I do mean LARGE) are cowering, fearful, ignorant and arrogant.

They deserve Bush and the government they are getting.

"Wait a minute, that makes sense."

I'd call it the broken watch syndrome, but with jjdj it's more like the broken calendar syndrome.

Thing when, bottom line the sentence was harsh, and releasing her to put a violent criminal in that bed was the right thing to do.

Do you actually stop to listen to fact? Or do you just run your mouth regardless of how much stupidity flows forth? 23 days in jail was harsh for parole violation? That's 3 whole weeks. In a cell by herself. I mean, that's not even real prison. How the hell is that harsh?

Thats one of the funniest things I've heard today. Illegal aliens represent a trampling of the US justice system. They are in the country illegally and most do not pay income tax, state or federal. I expect the fucking cunt to do Her time like the Judge Ordered Her to do. This is rediculous and You know it. She should have to time just like every other person would have to do. I can not believe You are saying 45 Days is Harsh bwhahahahahahahah too fucking funny.

Larry

You would rather release a violent criminal on the people of LA, than see Paris do 45 days of home confinement.

End of story

""Thing when, bottom line the sentence was harsh,""

Poor Paris, I feel so guilty, I'm going to cry. Please forgive me Paris. The poor darling girl was so mistreated.

She won't be able to tolerate house arrest either. She is going to have to leave the country. She can go to Bahrain and hang out with Michael. They give Dog Chapman such a hard time and he loses his show and everything, and he was not doing anything wrong. Stupid bitch PH could have had a chauffeur the whole time. They should at least make her do community service picking up trash by the road.

Paris who????

I can't believe this has found its way to a political blog.

Some how this gives me great confidence that our leaders and those who are watching our leaders are making sure the job is done right.

Stick your tongues back in your mouth and start paying attention to those that really make a difference.

I mean WTF, you would rather have thousands of marijuana smokers in jail than violent pedophiles. Where is the sanity in this system?

It's a Bureaucracy my man. The rules are the rules, sanity doesn't even enter into it. Sad but true.

That's funny Money$. You took the time to post on this thread so take your "Holier than Thou" attitude and go away.

"pass away looking like an emaciated skeleton (with excellent make-up, of course)."

Um....how would she look any different then?

"I can't believe this has found its way to a political blog."

And yet you're posting on this thread. You sure told us!

"You would rather release a violent criminal on the people of LA, than see Paris do 45 days of home confinement."

Show us one spot where somebody said this, otherwise you're extrapolating like George Bush on a drunken anti-Iraqi bender: "Well, Saddam Hussein tried to kill my daddy, so there MUST be weapons of mass distraction! Hey, who brought the coke? I want some!"

Uh Dylanfan, pull your head out of your behind. There are not nearly enough beds in LA County. People charged with violent crimes there are released on their own recognizance every single day. Release someone to home confinement and you free up a bed for a violent criminal. There is a capacity number they cannot exceed and they are exceeding it everyday. If you keep a non-violent inmate in that bed, in effect, you are freeing a violent inmate to prey upon the people of LA.

So, You would rather release a violent criminal on the people of LA, than see Paris do 45 days of home confinement.

End of story

I'm too low on time to do my own research, but if she was doing 70 in a 35 with her headlights out at night while drunk, she may not be "violent," but I think she would deserve more than a slap on the wrist.

You're still extrapolating and putting words in people's mouths.

It would be like me saying, "Republicans would rather spend $1,000,000,000,000 on Iraq than on education; since they support the war in Iraq, and that costs money, and there's only so much money to go around, they'd rather kill people than help educate people." Even though I think that's true (just kidding!), it's a shitty argument.

Another thing. If a sentence harsh or not depends on the context.

For example a friend of mine from my Air Force days moved to a rural town in Texas. He got into a shouting match with his girlfriend, cops were called, they searched him, found one joint. He was arrested, sentenced to 9 months (a gulf war veteran, this was his 1st offence)-- he served 6 months. While at the nearly the same time I was living in San Francisco and I got into a fracas outside a bar in the lower Haight. Cops came, searched me, found a baggie of weed (about an 1/8th). The cops took the weed and gave me a warning, not even a ticket! and let me go.

So context is everything. IMO for LA county that was a harsh sentence. Especially if you compare it to all screwups Downey JR did before they gave him time.

try being black and from Compton and getting the same treatment...

The best things in life are free
But you can keep it for the birds and bees.
Now gimme money (that's what I want)
That's what I want (that's what I want)

Paris? who?

What the HELL am I doing posting here in the first placer?

Maybe we can agree that being behind bars is supposed to protect society, not punish the miscreant.

If that's the case, Scooter and Paris ought to be doing public service, not slam time. Maybe Scooter will throw up and get out too. herm

Judge orders Hilton back to court

Los Angeles prosecutor Rocky Delgadillo attacked Hilton's release from prison and called for the law to be applied "equally and justly".

"I have directed my criminal branch to immediately explore all possible legal options to ensure that the law is being applied equally and justly in this case," Mr Delgadillo said.

Consider that the "How to get out of Jail" by Paris Hilton

There are not enough beds. The jails are overcrowded. Too many criminals.

Amendment XIII. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

So, if we place her on the auction block, how much money do you think the State could make?

For a State like California, could you imagine the money they could rake in with celebrity slave auctions.

I gotta talk to the Governor about this - balanced budget? Heck, I'm talking surplus!

I think she'll be going back. TP does work for crying, spoiled brats tears too. No Kleenex required.

UPDATE

repost:

The judge is angry that they were were going to allow Paris to "phone in" her 9 a.m. court appearance today and just ordered a sheriff's car to go out to her 17,000 foot mansion and physically bring her in to court.

poor dear was suffering from 'panic attacks and depression' which is why they released her on a 'medical condition' and gave her an ankle bracelet. Now out here in loony L.A. there will probably be helicopters following her car back to the courthouse a la OJ-style.

The judge gave an 'order to show cause' to the sheriff as to why they released her early.

I enjoy the Paris Hilton jokes as much as anyone but last night, one of my favorite guys, Keith Olberman, I think was out of line with his jokes about "cavity searches." Perhaps a radio talk host could get away with such a crude joke but I expect better of Keith.
If he had only said it once it might not have been so bad but he kept returning to the same crude joke. I'll still watch Keith but I hope he apologizes and raises the level of his humor.

Ah yes, and justice for some. The USA, where the rich, thin and pretty get out of jail because jail upsets them.

I so Hope that Not only the Judge put Paris Hilton back in the slammer that He places the Sheriff in His own Jail. God now THAT would rock My world. Paris Hilton needs Robert Tilton's Prayers.

Larry

Paris has to appear in court at noon today -- 3:00 p.m. time back East.

LAPD arrested Paris but out here in L.A. the Sheriff's Dept. runs the prisons and the jails.

Word is she couldn't take a dump in public and freaked out over the toilet arrangements. She held in a dump for days and the Doctor sent her home. Poor baby.

She's right up your alley Chris

This is what qualifies as a FOX NEWS ALERT???

WTF?

Give her the old "Corn Cob and Turpinetine Treatment. That should take her mind off of a few things.

Sincerely, Keith Olberman

Anybody catch the zoo on tv when the photographers rushed the cop car?

Paris' parents are trash. Her mother was yelling outside the court after Paris was sentenced and complaining about the judge.

I didn't know she lived in West Hollywood. Thought their mansion was in Beverly Hills or Westwood.

Paris Hilton is the spokesmodel for tax cuts for the rich.

Judge: Ms. Hilton I am going to increase your punishment to its extreme.
Paris: OMG!
Judge: You are hereby ordered herewith to be totally ignored.

Advice for P.H.
Get over yourself and Grow Up!
Stop the haughty, pouty look - it might have been cute when you were 4 and you got your own way, but it's not attractive at 26.
You've got lots of bucks. When you get out of jail, find something worthwhile to do for humanity - and get over yourself.

Update:

Paris has to now serve out her entire 45 day sentence in jail (opposed to the 23 days she would have served if she just stayed in jail the first time and shut up).

Upon hearing the sentence Paris wailed:

"MOM, MOM, MOM"

This is too funny. Now 45 days instead of 23. Ma & Pa Hilton will most likely sue the Sheriff's Dept.

I was listening to an Los Angelos attorney on Ed Schultz's show, he says that the short amount of time she was in was typical for virtually all probation violators like Paris. He also said the original sentence was unusually harsh. I don't want Paris to get special treatment but I also don't think she should serve more time than the average probation violator. She hasn't hurt anyone I know, she's a self-centered rich girl...I don't think that is a crime. Enough is enough.

Danni

They let much worse get out of jail out here doing 1/10th the time they were sentenced because our jails are super overcrowded so all the non-violent offenders rarely do any time.

I think because she went in the front door and just a few hours later gets out the back door and she is so highprofile that it worked against her.

She should have stayed in at least a week and then no one probably would have said much.

Somebody on the radio said it takes at least ONE WEEK to hook up an ankle monitoring device and there is no possible way it could have been done that quickly suggesting that there was no monitoring being done at all. hmmmm.

Some cameraman lucked out and got a shot of her in the back of the squad car --

PHOTOS OF PARIS HILTON ON HER WAY TO JAIL

Danni, the other day I was listening to people discuss when they were caught drinking and driving on the radio, and they got put away for over 100 days. One guy got pneumonia while in the slammer, he didn't get to go home, they put him in the hospital and sucked fluid out of his lungs for a few days, then back in jail with a 103 fever he went!
She not only was drinking and driving, but got caught driving 2 times while under suspension. She should get more time, until she realizes she needs to make better decisions and be accountable. She really isn't a princess that can do whatever she wants.

I hate myself for it but I am starting to feel sorry for her.

BIG JOHN I know you are right but I can't help it, in the photo Chris posted she looks so pathetic. I don't think I would make a very tough judge.

SLAP!!

There, I just tried to slap some sense into you. It's hard through these dang interwebs. Stupid series of tubes is all.

I'll link this one time

It's nuts out here on local talk radio. My favorite radio talk show jocks -- John and Ken -- are doing a special report on the Paris fiasco. These guys are funnier than hell and they've got "Stuck in Folsom prison" playing in the background.

Just click on the top where it says "Listen LIVE (or something like that)" and a media player will pop up on the screen and you can listen to it live over your speakers

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm Why?? That lil white skank rotten scab on a gnats ass has gotten Her way everyday of Her life. It's time that spoilt lil rich bitch got told No once in Her life. God She just makes Me want to go buy Her some Luvs diapers and send them into Her jail cell.

Larry

Thanks, BIGJOHN, I needed that.

judge says she's going back to jail.....just hit the news wires.

"I hate myself for it but I am starting to feel sorry for her."

No doubt it was 5 of the worst days of her life and even Spud who calls her names and such has a wee smidgeon of empathy fer her plight but mostly it's overwhelmed by a feeling of disgust fer a justice and penal system that's become deeply ineqitable and classist.

Do ya think it possible that she actually learned sommat important in her time behind bars?

That she had an epiphany of sorts about herself and the world she inhabits?

Some kinda... "Shawskank Redemption"?

Ha! Spud stole that one from last night Daily Show.

Spud imagines the look on her face when she found out there wasn't to be any room service at all musta been priceless.

Be Well.

jail is cruel and unusual punishment for everyone. is an incurable staph infection (for life) excessive punishment? in ms. hilton's case yes and in everyone else's case as well.

Sympathy?? Fuck that. What a joke. SPINELESS. If Paris Hilton was a generic hispanic woman from L.A. she would be mercilessly tossed into jail and serve every damned second of her sentence. No press. No quarter. Not an iota of sympathy. Nothing. Just simple justice.

And for those of you who think she'll learn something from being behind bars, get a grip. Just wait. The "Granda Skanka" will do her pitifully tiny amount of time in jail, then be out partying, cavorting and acting like an idiot in no time.

"It doesn't say much for either the genetic makeup or the personal attitudes of the Hilton family if Paris is on the verge of a 'mental breakdown' after only 3 nights of isolation from the rest of society." OCU

I couldn't agree more. This is an incredible show of just how weak of an individual she must be. Come on.... a sentence where she gets to spend her days in a cell with no other inmate? I'll bet a lot of housewives wouldn't mind spending a few weeks in lockup such as this. No one bothering you to cook, clean, do the dishes. Someone brings your meals. You've got all the time in the world to read those books you've been meaning to read. If she was in general population, that would be a different story. What's the big deal there other than the media attention this brings to yourself. That wouldn't have been nearly so bad either if she had handled this with dignity like Martha Stuart did. These hysterics are way out of proportion. I think maybe her being forced to actually spend time with her own thoughts might be a problem for her. Some people just can't be alone with themselves.

And as for her not wanting to eat jail food.... I would bet the majority of the world's population would be ecstatic with what they get fed. We are so over-privileged it isn't funny. She needs to get a grip!
And yes, I do feel a bit sorry for her in all honestly.

Wow. She had her sentence reduced to 23 days, her own cell in a small branch that handles celebrities, and chose to cry and scream, thus not serving with 'good behavior'.

What an irony the judge hears about her VERY early release yesterday on the radio while getting in his car.

The judge quickly caught on to the fact that this is a completely spoiled young woman who thinks she can get anything she wants or do anything she wants without consequences. Let's be honest. If Paris hadn't been caught for the SECOND time driving on a suspended license after her DUI conviction she wouldn't have gone to jail in the first place.

Now Paris will serve the entire 45 days in conditions worse than she was in until last night because of her behavior.

I hope whe learns a thing or two. Worked for Robert Downey, Jr. He's doing great. And especially without the monkey of alcohol and drugs causing him grief as it is Paris. I hope this is a learning experience that helps her with the rest of her life. Might be the best thing that ever happened to her.
