Why is it so important ?

Save it for the islamic history books of America .

Actually it's not. I have it right here in fact.

Dear Exhaulted Jihadist Leader,

I know my humble self is unworthy in your sight and as such, I cannot bring my wretched existance to burdening you any more.

I know I was expected to pile the body count higher. I tried. I really really tried. I even crippled America's fighting force and left us wide open to Commie attack.

And then they didn't cooperate.

I shall forever be shamed by my failure to lure out the dark forces of evil into the light for My Leader to slay. I snatched your victory from the loins of success and smashed it on the Dome of the Rock.

Not Jeff Ganon's, that Muslim one.

But enough with your private life. I must submit my resignation from the position I was born to fulfill.

Your blame carrier.

Yours without wax,
Donald (your Duck) Rumsfeld

Do people actually care what it said.

There was on job I had and after the first day, I knew I was lied to. I took a few months and landed a better job and then told the President I was quiting that second.

Since I never brought any personal things to work, I left the office supplies in my office. One pen and a piece of white paper that I scribbled neatly: "Here today and Gone Tomorrow" take this job and shove it"

I then drove to my new job.

Never forget the look on the guys face-kept asking why. I told it just wasn't as good a fit as he thought it would be.

Let Rummy be. Where ever he's at, it's certainly better for the President and our country. It's time he rested his back and watch TV and enjoy he knew surroundings-the world has told him something and so has the President-let's leave it at that

The rumor mill says that Rumsfeld still has an office in DOD spaces in Arlington's tony Crystal City complex, and still gets a big cabinet post sized paycheck from Uncle Sam, and still has DOD staffers working for him.

Any details on this rumor? Please provide.

The Bush gravy train never stops.

he was fired.

funny, though, to see all you jackals still sniffing around, sticking your noses in the filth. just like dogs returning to their vomit you cant get enough of it can you?

horse shit

It's either horseshit or dog vomit (or do you mean jackal pulke?). Can't be both. Take you pick, pantload. And no returns to the familial kitchen.

If it's no biggie, then why the secret righty-tighties? He is a servant of the people is he not? Or, do you concede the Bush government no longer is?

What did Sandy Berger destroyed from the national archives, its still secret.

Which is more important?

"Save it for the islamic history books of America ."

Why, did the Saudis demand a mass conversion when Cheney was over there last week making sure our actions in Iraq are in line with their agenda?

Forget the letter but try this man for treason!

Rummy, one of the few people in the adminstration that has seen combat, fucked up royally. For this he was given another cush job at the Pentagon... and lucrative deals with North Korea ...and a continuing role with the Carlyle Group. But he can't leave the country for sweetheart speaking contracts, because there is too much risk of being arrested and charged with war crimes.

Can't be a letter of resignation when you're shit-canned. Rummy didn't jump ship, he was thrown overboard.
Thankfully, Bush hung on to him just long enough to help the Dems take over the Senate.

Rummy, one of the few people in the adminstration that has seen combat,...

Sorry, while it is true that Donald Rumsfeld did serve as a pilot in the U.S. Navy, his active duty time was spent as an instructor. However, he did continue his service in the active reserve for nearly 18 years, only going on inactive status when he became Sec. of Defense in 1975 under Ford. He remained on personal reserve status until 1989 when he retired at the rank of Captain.

But it is true, that he and Colin Powell were the only high-ranking members of the Cheney/Bush administration who actually served in the regular military, with Powell being the only one who can claim, and rightfully so, to have spent time in actual combat.

OCU -- You are 100% right. And his promotion had nothing to do with his wisdom or experience. He was political all the way through his Reserve career.

Let me get this straight now. If you never saw any military service (like Clinton)then you aren't fit to hold a high post in the government but......... if you were a High ranking officer (like Carter) then you would be great at Comander-in-Chief? WOW, I see your logic now.

Maybe the letter also went down with the ship... tinyurl.com

WOW, I see your logic now.
