Tony Blair has indicated that Gordon Brown is likely to replace him as Prime Minister within a matter of weeks. "Within the next few weeks I won't be Prime Minister of this country. In all probability, a Scot will become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom," Mr Blair told party supporters at a Labour rally in Edinburgh.

BlaIRAQ-- his legacy forever

If it's a Scotsman taking charge, he'll tell Bush to shove it up his arse and remove Britian's blood and treasure from this boondoggle.

"In all probability, a Scot will become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom," Mr Blair told party supporters at a Labour rally in Edinburgh."

Aren't Scotsmen notorious for being really miserly

You miss the point, Bowa. It has to to with devolution. Long story. But, that aside, one of Gordon Brown's (few) merits is that he didn't sell his ass to Bush. Blair actually had a chance to be marked as a successful, big-time p.m. He blew it. Shoving his nose up Bush's ass thinking (wrongly) that being reasonable and rationale and seemingly compliant was sufficient obeisance for a sociopath.

Like the priest said, you can run profitable bingoes and help the sick all your life, but screw one altar boy and that's all you'll be remembered for.
Iraq was Bliar's altar boy.

Don't know about that but I've heard Scotsmen
wear nothin' under their kilts so maybe they save money by not buying any Fruit of the Loom.

Iraq was Blair's altar boy.

funny!

Now, if we could only get Shrubby to wander aimlessly off into the sunset with Tony.

He will leave office day after the President of the world bank resigns

"Blair to resign within weeks"

'Bout Bloody Time now, innit?

Tail between the legs time.

For Blair, the one time darling of the left, is leaving.

His enthusiasm for Britanania ruling the waves caused Blair to waive the rules in terms of supporting the unsupportable. Over-weaning pride with a dollop of corporate over-influence were the lethal combo here. BP, of course, was one of the five big western based oil interests who just signed off on that 30 year deal in Iraq.

Now we got a Scot expected as interim PM?

Spud hopes Gordon Brown sees the waste in Iraq quickly here.

Be Well.

The End of the "War on Terror"

"

The "Axis of Good" is starting to crumble. It is several months yet before British Prime Minister Tony Blair's promise to retire falls due, but already his current and former cabinet colleagues are trying to put some distance between themselves and his most disastrous legacy, the invasion of Iraq. This is causing some embarrassment to his American and Australian partners in crime, President George W. Bush and Prime Minister John Howard. (Only those three countries actually shot and bombed their way into Iraq, although lots of others showed up later for a while.)

It started in New York on Tuesday with Mr. Hilary Benn, the International Development Secretary in the Blair cabinet and a contender to be deputy prime minister or foreign secretary when he goes. Benn revealed that the British
government had told all its diplomats to stop using the phrase "war on terror" last December, because "we can't win by military means alone. And because this isn't us against one organised enemy with a clear identity and a coherent set of objectives."

It was a dangerous phrase, Benn continued, because it imputed power, organisation and common purpose to "a small number of loose, shifting and disparate groups who have relatively little in common apart from their identification with others who share their distorted view of the world. By letting them feel part of something bigger, we give them strength."

Be Well.

Now maybe Spud will resign in a week!

""Blunkett: Brown supported Iraq war to save job
From Wikinews, the free news source you can write!

October 12, 2006

The Blunkett diaries, being serialised in the Guardian, claim that Gordon Brown opposed the war against Iraq. Only at the last minute did he give in, according to the diaries, when he realised that Blair would sack him otherwise.

Gordon Brown, interviewed by the Guardian, said he did not think Blunkett had ever said such a thing and that, if he was reported as having done so, he was being misquoted.

The diary entries are contemporary with the events and were recorded shortly after the Cabinet meeting on Iraq.""

So, Blair will be replaced with someone who claims to have opposed the war.
Too bad we have to wait until Jan. 09.
I wish we had a parliamentary form of government so a vote of no confidence would bring down the Lunatic in Chief.

Not to worry Tony, KBR and Halliburton have your Board seats on order.
Tony will make out like a bandit thanks to his Bush and military contractor connections.
No good deed goes unpunished and no bad deed unrewarded, so they say.

Hopefully to save America next it will be Pelosi resigning, her legacy is being a fool and neglecting the soldiers.

Bush should resign.

he lacks the real will .........Cheny now and 2008.

Would somebody sneak into JJ's mom's house and take the "Breathe in" and "breathe out" reminder notes off the monitor?

I do believe JJ is, in fact, the offspring of Nicey's liason with his neighbor's boxer. Nicey's looks and the Boxer's brains. Of course, the other way round would have been worse.

Libs you must hate the military.Act like your American even if you hate the US
