If you want to fight the Arab extremists this is the battle you should be fighting America!

Clinton would not have sat by and let this happen like Bush did.

We saved Kosovo and we could save Darfur if we wanted to!

What is the upside of stopping this? Think man think...............no oil.

hey Bush! I hear they have oil!

Southern Darfur, like southern Sudan, is rich in oil. The Chinese National Petroleum Corporation holds the large oil concession in southern Darfur. Chinese soldiers are alleged to be protecting Chinese oil interests.

oops looks like the Chinese got there first maybe they can get mired in this one...

sounds like the Mooslim's were having another evangelical campaign. Its all the Christians and Bush's fault.

"Clinton would not have sat by and let this happen like Bush did."

Sure, just like he stopped the genocide in Rwanda. We're talking about a guy who ignored about a half dozen Al Queda attacks leading up to 9/11. The only time he ever acted was when he was ordered to by the Europeans. And that was to bomb Serb cities simply because the Serbs were winning a war in which ALL parties involved were using the same tactics.

"We saved Kosovo and we could save Darfur if we wanted to!"

The warring parties in Kosovo are physically separated for the time being. These people have been fighting for hundreds of years and only a fool would believe dropping bombs on the Serbs changed anyone's attitude. It isn't over by a long shot.

As for Darfur, the best we can do is relocate the Christians and nobody wants to take them in.

Or maybe it was just a field trip for the 'mens day out' at the local mosque.

"If you want to fight the Arab extremists this is the battle you should be fighting America!"

Absolutely, I could get behind this one. And it is all about oil. The south Sudan is where the oil is and those guys are mostly non-muhammadans. Arm them to the teeth get em trained and let em go. It wouldn't be like Vietnam, these southern Sudanese are highly motivated pissed off MFs and they've been fighting hard for half a century and haven't slowed down a bit from what I've read.

Yeah, like he sat by and watched the genocide in Rwanda. Only 800,000 killed.

Wipe the snot off you nose. Has school already let out for the day?

Wow! you have such a caring heart! I don't know how you can be SO kind and not have flocks of people wanting to know what made you to be such a very kind compassionate individual so very interested in your fellow man.

You are the compassionate hero, maybe a compassionate peace thinking prize could be handed out to you.

"Clinton would not have sat by and let this happen like Bush did."

Yeah, that was pretty silly. I like Clinton alright, mostly for his general level of competance but he wasn't an especially courages president.

Instead of taking cheap shots at me for being realistic, why don't you propose an idea of your own? What can we do to make genocidal bigots stop being genocidal bigots?

In case you haven't noticed, we haven't done such a bang up job of stopping religious violence in Iraq.

I never said I don't feel for those people. I just can't help them. If I were a granstanding bullshit artist like you who pretends to be doing something while doing nothing, it wouldn't help anyone.

Compassion nothin, if the SLM and the JEM had the resources and some guidance they could run the Moors right outa there. from a purely strategic standpoint we could create an ally to help police the muhamadans and sell us oil and stop a genocide.

DOGMAN

Dear Africa,

You suck

Sudan, North Korea, Cuba, Iran & Libya all need a World Bank apparently...for Iraq & Afganistan now have one & are reaping its benefits as I post:>)

Sudan is "...one of only 7 nations in the world who don't have a Rothschild controlled central bank."

Instead of taking cheap shots at me for being realistic, why don't you propose an idea of your own? What can we do to make genocidal bigots stop being genocidal bigots?

Sorry but your realistic view was toned with such uncompassionate background noise I felt the need to say something.

I see though, you're so realistic that there is nothing this nation can do so we should just stand by and look at satelite images of murder/rape/destruction because we can't possibly as a country have compassion for people who are killed over ignorance.

Yes, you said it, the current leadership is part of the problem, I agree, loud and clear.

Sudan is "...one of only 7 nations in the world who don't have a Rothschild controlled central bank."
If they just had that bank, their problems would be solved.

Make Pakistan or India or Russia or Iran fix the problem.

Why is everything OUR responsibility?

If they just had that bank, their problems would be solved.
Well the bank and the elimination of all mooslims, then they would solve their problem.

I see though, you're so realistic that there is nothing this nation can do so we should just stand by and look at satelite images of murder/rape/destruction because we can't possibly as a country have compassion for people who are killed over ignorance.
Moneywar I thought you were opposed to our presence in Iraq?

"I see though, you're so realistic that there is nothing this nation can do so we should just stand by and look at satelite images of murder/rape/destruction because we can't possibly as a country have compassion for people who are killed over ignorance."

As I've told you already, having compassion and being able to stop it are two different things. Compassion doesn't stop bullets. If our government wanted to grant people from Darfur some kind of express VISA or citizenship to get those that want to leave out, I'd be fine with that. Short of slaughtering the Muslim majority, I don't see what else we can do.

As of now, you've proposed zero ideas for helping these people and I've proposed one (moving them). You just think you care more.

"Yes, you said it, the current leadership is part of the problem, I agree, loud and clear."

See, now you tipped your hand. Your problem with me is that you don't like what I had to say about Clinton and you assume that I support Bush. Let me assure you, I loathe Bush. See, unlike you, I have not replaced independent thought with the pre-packaged ideology handed to me by other partisan hacks. I can know that Clinton could give a shit about Africans while also knowing that neither does Bush. You are incapable of such realizations because you're a hack.

Why is everything OUR responsibility?
Go Nancy Go!

JFK 1962.
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge--and more.
...
To those peoples in the huts and villages across the globe struggling to break the bonds of mass misery, we pledge our best efforts to help them help themselves, for whatever period is required--not because the Communists(Islamics) may be doing it, not because we seek their votes, but because it is right.

Moneywar I thought you were opposed to our presence in Iraq?

Now here is a smart guy for ya!

I do find all the different handle quite interesting, slowly the mantra surfaces and they get narrowed down to who they really profess to be.

Characters never truely leave ones true soul.

So few with so many!

Yeah Sully,

Now you are getting it!

Although the irritated bravado is miss directed in my humble opinion.

Bravo Sully. Talking to Moneywar is like talking to a tape made by a 10 year old. I appreciate that you've taken up that duty today, as someone always must.

"miss directed"

Is she hot?

Howdy Joe,

I don't know what do think? "Is she hot?"

See you have made such a positive entrance!

I didn't hear Sully say anything remote to that, MoneyWar. I think you should be turning your agression toward the UN who is ignoring it.

It is in the UN charter that it MUST intervene in cases of genocide.

The background noise you felt was you hate for everything capitalist, everything conservative, basically, everything American.

True, but Darfur is too dangerous for the blue helmet crowd. As usual, it will be up to the militaries of the English-speaking world to do something about Darfar, or nothing will be done. The EU, the UN, and all the other completely worthless transnational groups said "Never Again" to the massacres in Bosnia, while being completely insouciant about a new holocaust on their own frontiers until Americans finally got sick of the CNN footage. Now the Sudan. But you can't expect the UN to want to go anywhere they can't be expected to have child sex rings up and running within a few days, or hundreds of millions in slush funds to Kofi Annan's family members.
Thus, the slaughter continues.

The background noise you felt was you hate for everything capitalist, everything conservative, basically, everything American.

Interesting, you wouldn't know capitalist if it hit you in the fu*king head!

Conservative, there is nothing conservative about you, nothing at all. Yet you think and LOL! pander as if you are some kind of conservative. That is a laugh in and of itself.

American, you have know idea what that means, what it stands for, and lack the pride and ownership of knowing what everything American is and stands.

LastAmerican ideas:

Capitalist: Squander Americas abilities to produce and bring the people to poverty while making a few corporate people rich.

Conservative: Spend as much money and hypocritical adventures killing thousands while invoking fear throughout the nation and making sure religious sect get infiltrated thoughout government and making education for the masses more difficult while separating the classes into a more economic group using the slow removal of constitutional rights of the American people.

Yep, you surely know what everything American is all about.

Yep, you surely know what everything American is all about.

MoneyWar do you agree with JFK?

JFK 1962.

"The EU, the UN, and all the other completely worthless transnational groups said "Never Again" to the massacres in Bosnia, while being completely insouciant about a new holocaust on their own frontiers until Americans finally got sick of the CNN footage."

Both World Wars had roots in the Caucuses. The Europeans were worried that the violence may spill over into their backyards. That is the only reason we bombed the Serbs, who were not guilty of using tactics that their enemies were not. They were guilty of being the side that was winning. In my opinion, the only way that violence will ever truely end is for one side to win. The UN ignored a much genocide going on in Rwanda at around the same time. It could give a shit about genocide.

Slick,

Yes, JFK had it right.

It is funny how Sully trounces the UN when the power of the UN is really in the hands of 5 nations and one of the 5 is the U.S. the most powerful of them.

What is the great purpose of preserving and protecting life while watching it be taken by the hands of man. Over an ideal no less.

It is a far more nobel ideal to protect and build relationships with those who are not capable of protecting themselves than protecting and dealing with nations who could careless.

These countries have nothing to offer the capitalist, but do the capitalist have something to offer them?

It's not what you can do for capitalists, it's what capitalists can do for you!

Slickwill, what does "Communists(Islamics)" that mean?

DOGMAN

Sully, I think you meant to say the Balkans, but your point is taken.

The First World War is the most understudied conflict, which I find a little curious. On one day a completely irrelevant archduke was assassinated by a group from a completely irrelevant country (Serbia). And in four years, the Ottoman, the Russian, the Ostro-Hungarian, the Prussian, and the French Empires lay completely in ruins.

I'm not completely on board with the idea that those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it. But those who are ignorant of history are doomed to be ignorant on a whole lot of other stuff. For more evidence, see the threads above.

If THIS doesn't break your heart, NOTHING will. Our little Muslim jihadist friends are at it strong in Darfur and the UN is purely impotent and irrelevant.

Sad
This is as inspirational a story as any I've read recently. Technology helping show people why they should care...good job google!

Hotel Rwanda is one of the greatest (yet hard to watch) movies of our time--sadly, there's probably more to come in this world.
