That's what she gets for that "Impeachment is off the table" crap.

Why turn Bush into a martyr to some?

He's much better political capital to her slowly twisting in the wind whilst each and every brick inside that house of cards he calls an administration comes tumbling down.

Start impeachment and that is the one and only story. Everything else gets air cover as a result. Impeachment is off the table and George is the main meal, everyday at dinner time.

A sly move I thought at the time.

Maybe she's feeling the SF vibes for bids?:>)

NO the far left is not the losers..the losers are the one half of one percent...who are fighting this war over and over on their third and fourth tours...why you asswipes on the right who have no real connection to the war...just repeat tired talking points that your gutless leader has repeated over and over..a slow bleed indeed!!

You can be sure they are eyeing US assets with a certain sense of glee. As their relative price slips, all valued in a declining currency, it is likely irresistable for them to now become one of America's new overlords.

Looks like they're the better capitalists.

Well, they sure manage their internet better:>)

psssst... comedian, you guys won. So do something about it.
Oh, that's right, you can't get it together to act. Too busy placating the far left and the blue dogs.
If they REALLY believed that they had a moral imperative to end the war, they would do it. Instead, their proposals hinge upon election cycles (out by Fall '08) what a coincidence.

Hilarious!!

I saw a great political cartoon -

You thinking of something like this Prob?!

winterpatriot.blogspot.com

Righties are a hoot. Four years of failure - in spite of everything they asked for in the White House - and all you can do is blame the Democrats for not getting us out of Iraq in 6 weeks.

Failed president. Proven failed policies. Rosy scenarios. Corners rounded on the insurgency more times than Cheney's had his pacemaker replaced.

LMAO !!!

How do these people make money?

DOGMAN

War protesters say they will remain camped outside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's home until a coming Congressional vote on supplemental Iraq war financing

It's not just the anti-war Far-Left that is losing patience with Pelosi, even the mainstream liberal LA Times is expressing dissatisfaction. In an editorial Monday they said the following, "Do we really need a Gen. Pelosi? Congress can cut funding for Iraq, but it shouldn't micromanage the war. AFTER WEEKS OF internal strife, House Democrats have brought forth their proposal for forcing President Bush to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq by 2008. The plan is an unruly mess: bad public policy, bad precedent and bad politics. If the legislation passes, Bush says he'll veto it, as well he should.

It was one thing for the House to pass a nonbinding vote of disapproval. It's quite another for it to set out a detailed timetable with specific benchmarks and conditions for the continuation of the conflict. Imagine if Dwight Eisenhower had been forced to adhere to a congressional war plan in scheduling the Normandy landings or if, in 1863, President Lincoln had been forced by Congress to conclude the Civil War the following year. This is the worst kind of congressional meddling in military strategy."

bowa......the left simply doesnt GIVE A SHIT about any of that.....not when they can make bush look bad or find something else to make some sort of buzz.....and to prove that all you have to do is look at thier attempt to circumvent the constitution which gives him the right to fire any usa he wants to....

but I do wonder if pelosi even knows they are there.......probably too far back in the huge house....which by the way...does anyone know how much energy she wastes in that house....does she come and go in a huge gas guzzling suv limo or what?

BOWA,
In the two examples you mention, a moral imperative propelled our war effort inside and outside the military. Compare that to the Iraq war, we illegally invaded a sanctions crippled oil rich country of no threat to our security. The big bully picks on Iraq after picking on Vietnam, Chile, Columbia, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Panama, Grenada, Cuba... The world hates the unnecessary belligerence of our country. Our belligerenece has nothing to do with Freedom, Democracy or Nation Building. It is about using force to gain economic advantage, such as control of oil supplies (not price). This is why we consistently support tyrannts that permit US exploitation of poor people throughout the world, yet cry foul when foriegners try to monopolize the exploitation themselves. BushI understood the reasons for staying out which pissed Cheney off. The Iraqis and American taxpayers must suffer for the foolish ambitions of Neocon greedfuckers. People who buy into the notion that all US foriegn aid and military action is based a love for Freedom and Democracy are ignorant.

You HAVE to know that it's cold in San Francisco year around and those protesters must be feezing their buns. Oh, well, they probably don't notice. I expect they're experiencing Nirvana with all that stuff they've been ingesting. I really wish they would organize another of those puke-out protests like they did a few years back. Now THAT was entertaining.

But but we were told that the anti-war protesters were just a Democratic front group to make Bush look bad. (Hint; Bush does't need any help in looking bad, he's got that mastered).
Maybe Speedy Gonzalez can get them all arrested. It's pretty clear he hasn't spent much time reading the Constitution or doing his job. Just like his boss, I guess.
Can anyone say Culture of Incompetence?

I love it when BL2 and the others hiding in the bunker...it's not the left that's making Bush look bad, only you pathetic few believe that, no friends, it is Bush himself who makes Bush look bad...do you realize how silly you sound trying blame the left for this disaster in the white house..you rightwing asswipes are truly insane.

well he read the constiution long enough to know that it is his right to fire any usa that he wants.....something that more on the left need to know about.......

but I do see your point.....these kooks are kooks of the highest order and even a liberal democrat will not stand in their way easily.......another reason why we on the right must prevail........

I "aint" hiding "nowhere".......when bush has screwed up we call him out.....didnt here any of that from clintonistas at any time can recollect.......
its the left that gets uncomfortable with hearing historical facts and how those facts make them look two faced..........

BL2....yeah you call Bush out...give me a break!!!! you want an historical fact? Bush invaded a country that did nothing to us.....he lied...and will be viewed historically as the disaster that he is...how can you guys still support this administration...are you from another planet?

Bush's war on the terrorists is the right direction but his imigration policy is a pile of shit. No one should get rewarded with a quick path to citizenship becaust they broke the law. He also is way too free with spending.

Did I say enough bad about him to keep you libs happy???

it's not a right to invade a politians private dwellin area -but when they they did it to bush nancy seemed to think it was cool- ---this is one of the reasons we get such a limited bunch of people in politics not many people want the nonesense that goes with it
jasman

bushlovertwo
it's actually any facts that don't fit the libs truth not jus historical
jasman

Notice that, so far, Nancy hasn't bullied any of the local politicians to make laws that disallow the protesters a place to protest, as the coward Bush did.

I, personally, have no use for people who use so-called "non-violent" protests to block my way to where I am going. I tend to step on them whether they be anti-war freaks or anti-abortion freaks. If you want ME to respect your protests, come up with some logical explanation for your position. Just don't get in my way when I need to get from point A to point B. You won't impress me at all with that kind of behavior.

BTW, Nancy Pelosi won't speak to me either. Or answer my emails. Or follow my advice. Wah! Hell, I can't even get my Democratic Senatress to answer my email!
Wah!

Haecus,

Are any of your family or freinds over there now, or in the past?

why is the coverage on the surge absent from the unbiased media outlets such as cnn, msnbc, abc, cbs?

"Experience proves that the man who obstructs a war in which his nation is engaged, no matter whether right or wrong occupies no enviable place in life or history. Better for him, individually, to advocate war, pestilence, and famine,' than to act as obstructionist to a war already begun. The history of the defeated rebel will be honorable hereafter, compared with that of the Northern man who aided him by conspiring against his government while protected by it. The most favorable posthumous history the stay-at-home traitor can hope for is oblivion." Ulysses S. Grant, "Personal Memoirs"

ICUBUS CON...yes unfortunatley my son is stationed in that hell hole...he was supposed to come home in may but of course he has been extended for at least another six months.....if ANY of you people on this board have kids over there...I send up a pray for your kids...and I hope you will do the same for mine....
