Getting kicked in the balls polls higher than Bush?

This whole administration has been about kicking America in the balls.

It is amazing that 26% approve of the way he is handling the war. Anything under 33% is eroding his core base. In the war, the 5th helicopter was shot down in two weeks in Iraq. I believe as long as conservatives continues to support the President position in attaching the working class and a failed war strategy, more voters will pull the plug on conservatism and the President.

Harrier,

Bush is the best thing to happen for the progressive movement in years.

Good job neocons!

I wonder....
In Texass-after dipshit leaves office-I think it'd be a good idea to set up an ALTERNATE pRezidechya'll lieberry...
Have someone make a b.s. sign that says-"jorge duh-bai-yuh bush pRezidecha'll lieberry"-next exit-and put it up on the Interstate down there.
When you get to the property-all you'll fjind is an old outhouse someone found abandoned in west Texass-filled with 1 copy of "My Pet Goat"-a broken Gameboy-and several comic books.........

Of course-the kicker would have to be a stack of chopped Cedar nearby-with a broken-down chainsaw on the pile-and a cardboard cut-out of a bored Secret Cervix Agent standing nearby.....

Yes... that is what one poll said. there are others... www.pollingreport.com

None good... not all catastrophic...

And he'll be in Argentina, living it up, Frank?

Jennifer Love Hewitt (36%)

Fruit Cake (40%)

Kevin Federline (45%)

There's no fucking way this is right!

How in the hell does Federline get a higher approval rating than Jennifer Love Hewitt!?

What about a fruitcake dentist with brussel sprouts on his breath and small breasts who just stepped in dog shit yammering about fishing while Hanson is on the muzak who wants to kick you in the balls because Fed-ex is crotcheting a tablecloth with The Bare Naked Ladies doing the Pussy Cat Dolls?

Oh yeah, that still beats Dumbya.

" Small Breasts (50%)"

I've been telling women for years that it's 50-50 but the smaller their breasts the less they believe it.

AND NO ONE is pissed off - aghast might be a better word - that one in four Americans is THAT dumb? Hell, in a poll of who's our best president ever, 5% (one out of 20) voted for
Dubya. I'm sure the sainted Molly Ivins would have found something to say. Maybe ethnic cleansing has found support. herm

I can't believe Rob is touting those numbers. LOL!

As Machiavelli told the Prince - a ruler is more effective when he is feared then when he is loved.

Herm, just take a look at who still sends a portion of what little money they have to the televangelists, and that'll answer your question. Come to think of it, I'll bet you could do some research and find that they're the same group.

Let's face it; there are just some folks who will believe anything, even if it flies in the face of all logic and reason. See: religious fundamentalists.

My bad, I didn't see the last line, I just clicked on the links and then repsonded.

Rob what do you consider catastrophic?

I can't believe Rob is touting those numbers. LOL!

Buy a dictionary and look up touting... then come back and apologize for being an idiot... oh, wait... first look up idiot.

I'd wager this is not the lowest Bush's rating are going to get.

Great legacy.

My bad, I didn't see the last line, I just clicked on the links and then repsonded.

Rob what do you consider catastrophic?

Ah okay...

I said not all catastrophic... in 20s is really bad... once you hit Nixon levels that's a catastrophic level. 44% though, as Rasmussen says... is not terrible.

I am reminded of that Scene in Grease where John Travolta and the flozzy Skank was dancing upon that Gymnasium and that one song playing to the crowd going How low can they go How low can they go. Instead of that the Music at the WhiteHouse should be How low can He go How low can He go. That would be a fitting "Tribute" to Dumbya's "Legacy"

Larry

Rob: Rasmussen has consuistently had Bush higher than any other poll, even FOX.
Maybe they should call outside Halliburton's staff directory.

Bush is a war criminal

Who would have thought that 28% of democrats would like G.W. ? Now you can add the 79% of Republicans to that and you will get an accurate 53 to 54 % .

Bush scores lower than "stepping in dog shit" and "getting kicked in the balls"?

That rings true to Spud!

The Pussycat Dolls score a percentage point higher than "Spiceworld"?

Nu-uh!!

"Hootie and the Blowfish" 84%

Riiiight!

Funny stuff Jimmy Dub!

Be Well.

Rob: Rasmussen has consuistently had Bush higher than any other poll, even FOX.

And just glancing throught that polling report site I linked to it looks like CBS is consistently lower... in the case of the most recent polls they are the only one in the 20s... so if we should toss out Rasmussen for being too high should we toss out CBS for being too low?

Sorry thats... "the Pussycat Dolls scored a percentage point lower than "Spiceworld"?!

PCD is hot stuff!!

Spiceworld is "Old Spice".

Be Well.

Rob: Rasmussen has consuistently had Bush higher than any other poll, even FOX.

Good idea. Except that Rasmussen got every state right in the last three presidential elections, and has been the most accurate pollster in national politics. Completely different methodology, in that they only survey likely voters who have voted in the last few election cycles. Which is why they might be overstating his actual approval numbers (because non-voters are allowed to weigh in on the approval question), but not among those who vote.

28% of americans should stop pretending they understand politics.

how could he fug up the ME so totally and be way up there at 28% ?

Bush could care less he is at 28%. He's not running again, doesn't give a damn about his fellow Republicans in Congress or whether or not they get re-elected, totally doesn't give a f--k about average non-millionaire Americans, or our country and its laws, sovereignty, heritage, traditions, or Constitution. Only a man who HATES this country and his fellow Americans will use our country only to suck up everything he can steal from it and then leave it in a disasterous mess -- and that's what Bush has done.

Bush has all he cares about right now -- trillions $$$$ in off-shore bank accounts with the Bush Crime Family's name on them. The Bush family just bought 400,000 acres in Paraguay so maybe he plans on going there when he's done destroying this country and can saw logs forever after he's finished totally robbing our country's treasury blind and has sent thousands more kids in our military to their deaths or a lifetime of war injury mutilations.

What sickens me is that this Congress doesn't have the cajones to throw this lying war profiteer and murderer (yes, someone who intentionally LIED to start a war that has killed hundreds of thousands of people is a murderer) out on his butt NOW. Who cares if he has only 2 more years left in office -- Bush can get a lot of Americans killed in 2 more years. Just give him a chance.

YoMeLib there are about 60 MILLION Stupid people in this Country. That is the Number of Dubya voters in the 2004 Election.

Larry

Sitdown-it's actually Paraguay-that's where he'll be hiding when the world goes to shit because of his so called-"foreign policy" decisions. He'll probably be chopping Cedar there too... I'd be all for Impeaching the sommamabitch and impounding ALL the money him and his cronys have stolen-if we can find it.

"28% of americans should stop pretending they understand politics."

LMAO!!

And very true!!

When I was 20-you couldn't have convinced me you could find that many really stupid people in this country-now that I'm older-the only thing that surprises me is that-there aren't even MORE of the bastards around.

After all-the 1 great Gawd REALLY-REALLY LUVS stupid people. He has to-he made soooo many of them!

IRS audit will soon be more popular than Bush.

Bush brought 400,000 acres in Paraguay?

a map of sorts here on the lots...

Sept 15, 2005

Buenos Aires, Oct 13 (Prensa Latina) An Argentine official regarded the intention of the George W. Bush family to settle on the Acuifero Guarani (Paraguay) as surprising, besides being a bad signal for the governments of the region.

Luis D Elia, undersecretary for the Social Habitat in the Argentine Federal Planning Ministry, issued a memo partially reproduced by digital INFOBAE.com, in which he spoke of the purchase by Bush of a 98,842-acre farm in northern Paraguay, between Brazil and Bolivia.

I heard it was 400,000 acres the Bushes bought in Paraguay but google is all over the place with the acreage. Looks like the Bush family needs a place to hide. Just like when the Nazis all fled Germany and went to Argentina after WW II.

Bush Family Residence in Paraguay?

October 11, 2006

Note: all links are to Spanish/Portuguese websites

The Governor of Alto Paraguay, Erasmo Rodrguez Acosta has admitted to hearing that George Bush Sr. owns land in the Chaco region of Paraguay, in Paso de Patria. Acosta says that rumor has it that Bush owns near to 70 thousand hectares (173,000 acres) as part of an ecological reserve and/or ranch. However, the governor said he had no documents to prove the rumor. Acosta said that some stories credited the land to the Fundacin Patria, which Bush would be a member of.

The spokespeople of the organization were not available to comment. Supposedly, Timothy Towell, the U.S. Ambassador in Asuncin (the capital of Paraguay) is the present administrator of the land.

First accounts signaled that Bush had acquired 40,000 hectares (99,000 acres) in the Chaco zone of Fuerte Olimpo, near the Bolivian Border. A spark of the interest in this property may have been Jenna Bush's private visit to Paraguay with Unicef, which started Saturday, October 7, 2006. Supposedly Jenna will travel to the ranch to ''observe'' several indigenous villages are located on the propertyblockquote>

If I were those indigenous people I'd be real worried with the Bush slaughter family heading my way.

sorry, the very last sentence above is my own. I didn't format the blockquote ending right.

"Bush Family Residence in Paraguay? "

South America was a safe haven for Nazis like:

Josef Mengele was to spend the next thirty years on the run from international authorities. While he received aid and shelter from the neo-Nazi network in Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil...
www.crimelibrary.com

Paraguay is an interesting choice. Fascist rule, legal prostitution, and a very decent army.

But here's another tidbit to add to your collection Chris.

"The Paraguayan Senate voted last summer to "grant U.S. troops immunity from national and International Criminal Court (ICC) jurisdiction.

"Immediately afterwards, 500 heavily armed U.S. troops arrived with various planes, choppers and land vehicles at Mariscal Estigarribia air base, which happens to be at the northern tip of Paraguay near the Bolivian/Brazilian border. More have reportedly arrived since then."
wonkette.com

I suspect that this provision of the law will also include the Commander in Chief, and Bush's little army will be well staffed some of the more illustrious characters from the War on Terra.

Mike

You nailed that right on the head with "U.S. troops granted immunity" in Paraguay as being probably THE reason the Bushes bought a lot of land down there. Guess that protects the war criminal and Commander-in-Chief GWB from the real possibility of jail time after being tried for war crimes by an international court or, as in the case of Saddam, swinging from the end of a rope.

The chimp will be right at home swinging from the vines in the Paraguay jungle and chopping down rubber trees should he get homesick for his ranch in Crawford. TX.

Mike - I took a small paragraph from the article you linked in your post above:

Here's a fun question for Tony Snow:

Why might the president and his family need a 98.840-acre ranch in Paraguay protected by a semi-secret U.S. military base manned by American troops who have been exempted from war-crimes prosecution by the Paraguyan government?

Answer to "fun question" above:
It's the only place that G.W. Bush could find/buy that would allow him to put up his Presidential Library?

You're just being cute.

He's violated the Geneva Conventions and never had UN authorization for invading Iraq. He may yet compound that with bombing Iran.

You can executed for war crimes, and if the MidEast goes up in flames he could be indicted.

Who knows. Maybe he'll be ravaged by Killer Bees. A fitting end to the dynasty.

I seem to recall soldiers of the axis powers being tried for war crimes on the basis of torture the US govt has ADMITTED doing.

If you voted for Bush and are disappointed in his performance. Pay attention next election or STF home on election day.

Who would have thought that 28% of democrats would like G.W. ? Now you can add the 79% of Republicans to that and you will get an accurate 53 to 54 % .

If I were your math teacher, I would give you a "F", just like your president

He deserves 2 letters for that stupidity. I was thinking "F" and "U".

AND NO ONE is pissed off - aghast might be a better word - that one in four Americans is THAT dumb?

You need to ask?

"our great democracies still tend to think a stupid man is more likely to be honest than a clever man" bertrand russell

I'm curious. Has any other president ever retired in a different country? It really doesn't bode well.

Once a coward, always a coward.

Bush can run and hide in whatever country he chooses, however...his legacy in forever etched in stone in American history.

When it's all said and done...he will be known as the most corrupt president of the most corrupt administration who has caused more damage to this country than any of his predecessors combined.

He won't be able to hold his head up in this country.

Well he has to go somewhere to escape prosecution after 2008.

Lisa,

Bushling will bid this country adieu take his share of the $9 billion in missing Iraqi cash and live like a king in South America.

Look for the whole Bush clan to relocate after they are done f-ing over America and there is nothing left to steal.

It's not like any other Bushy could ever make it to POTUS after the glowing record Dumbya will leave.

Give rightnutty a break, after all math and english have never been strong subject for neocons.

Lisa did you see the House hearing yesterday with the families of Blackwater employees who were killed...the ones being sued for 10M by Blackwater because they are suing Blackwater?

"It's not like any other Bushy could ever make it to POTUS after the glowing record Dumbya will leave."

I do feel sorry for Jeb. George has totally ruined his chances, which is a shame. I would have strongly considered voting for him.

Everything GWB touches turns to shit.

No Scarey, I didn't see it.

However, I believe that it was the employees who signed paperwork that said they wouldn't sue, not their families.

""I do feel sorry for Jeb. George has totally ruined his chances, which is a shame. I would have strongly considered voting for him.""

Lisa, Jeb was probably the worst governor in Florida history which probably even Charlie Crist would have to admit. Crist has been very busy during his first few weeks in office dealing with all the problems Jeb totally ignored like property taxes so high people are losing homes, insurance rates so high people can't afford to insure their homes, voting system that not even the Republicans believe is accurate or fair....Jeb was a disaster for Florida and he would be a bigger disaster for America. Any home owner in Florida who is even slightly honest would have to agree with me on that.
Oh, and never forget the cronyism that he employed for state agencies. Some of the Departments were so badly run that Crist had to appoint Democrats as soon as he took office just to clean up the mess that Jeb's cronies left behind.

I am deeply sorry W has ruined the chances for Jeb to run for President. With his history and his wife and his mother and his brother, any Democratic candidate would have wiped the floor with him in every state but Florida.

Danni:

Perhaps I should have gotten ALL the facts before making such a statement as I did.

I was only getting one side of the picture, apparently.

I've got news for you...Jennifer Love Hewitt's approval ratings will always be higher than President Bush, but all Presidents.

I meant her rating will always be higher than all Presidents

Not to mention Lisa....Jeb was involved in the theft of the 2000 election...directly involved. Personally, I hope Jeb disappears from the scene and never rears his dishonest face again.

Danni:

I know you strongly believe that the 2000 election was stolen, and the Jeb was involved.

I agree that things look suspicious, but it hasnt been proven that this is what happened. I wish it would be investigated and either way, put closure to it.

The timing of this is interesting. Remember the Military Commissions Act that provided "protection" for anyone involved in violations of US or International law that relates to actions occurring between September 11, 2001, and December 30, 2005?

This in effect is a retroactive pardon that Congress pushed through in November (if I recall).

But this business in Paraguay makes me wonder if Bush is hedging his bet. Maybe this provision could be ruled unconstitutional by the courts.

Or it could be coincidence.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

sounds almost as bad as cbs news ratings with couric at the helm. go to www.drudgereport.com

Lisa,

The hack job that Jeb's office did on purging the voter roles in 2000 guaranteed a win for Dumbya.

If there was a felon in Florida with the last name Johnson and an innocent voters name was Johnson you were purged and had to prove you were not a felon. Now who could do that on voting day?

That is part of the puzzle that helped Jeb steal the election for his bro.

Just think about how different this country would be without Shrub in office.

I do feel sorry for Jeb. George has totally ruined his chances, which is a shame. I would have strongly considered voting for him.

Everything GWB touches turns to shit.

I think you are wrong Lisa... There are two Bush's I see going far in politics after George. Jeb and his son George.

en.wikipedia.org

I don't know about George P. Bush being able to make it ot the Presidency, but certainly he will go far in politics... this guy was practically a rock star at the last GOP convention.

As for Jeb, he will not be high profile for a few years. I'd bet good money he ends up in the cabinet of the next GOP president, and then probably on a ticket as VP. He is well liked and carries 3 major demographics... George W. Bush will not be the last Bush to be in a position of power in our Government.

28% approval for Bush just confirms my opinion that there are a lot of dumb people which means there are a lot of dumb people investing.

Efficient markets my butt, if you can't out smart those 28%, you shouldn't be investing.

stock market at highest level ever, higher GDP growth than expected in 2006 including over 5.7% in first quarter, economy is rolling, you liberals have evidence that Bush is the worse president ever? or do like just calling him nasty names?

not to mention two excellent supreme court nominees who will be making decisions for at least the next 2 or 3 decades

Holy crap, the reichwingers are out in force today. Keep on drinkin' the koolaid idiots.

Jeb very popular among the hispanic voters and is also married to a mexican women. he will be a strong canidate at some point in the future

vietnam death toll over 65,000 troops, iraqi war death toll at 3,000 troops

Even the newly minted chair of the fed now says that income inequity in the USA is detrimental to the stability of the US economy. Bush, the 109th Congress and all of their assorted cronies have made it possible, if not likely, that there will be armed conflict in our streets.

Yes, your hero GWB has made all these wonderful things happen.

"he will be a strong canidate"

hopefully south of the border.

you liberals have evidence that Bush is the worse president ever?

Bush won't go down in history as the worst ever... In all of the qualifications there are much worse...

Worst because of Iraq? Yeah I think Vietnam was worse, so that would mean Lyndon Johnson would take the cake there.

Worst because of the economy? Well for starters the economy isn't bad, but even if you think it is, it was worse during Carter's or Hoovers.

Worst because of the general attitude in this country? Might want to bone up on James Buchanan...

Hell Bush isn't even the most hated president we've ever had... Nixon was more hated... People shot Kennedy and Lincoln... nobodys even taken a swing at Bush in this country.

"you liberals have evidence that Bush is the worse president ever? or do like just calling him nasty names?"

Yes, and yes.

Hey,

You should really remain compliant with your doctors medication regimen. Just the name Bush will deny any of these thugs a viable chance at elected office.

Just the name Bush will deny any of these thugs a viable chance at elected office.

In the next couple election cycles... sure... even if Bush had soaring approval ratings, Jeb wouldn't run next time. George P Bush cites "Bush fatigue" as a reason and he is right.

But they are young, well liked by the right, and able to raise lots of money... its silly to think this will be the Last Bush to hold a public office.

"nobodys even taken a swing at Bush in this country."

When would anyone who wanted to ever get the chance, Rob? Bush has got to be the most insulated Prez ever. With the possible exception of speaking at the NAACP (finally), he never goes before a potentially hostile audience, or gets within a mile of any protesters.

Yes, and yes.

Posted by SanAntonioRogue

Sum it up in a couple lines for us... why is Bush the worst president ever?

"" its silly to think this will be the Last Bush to hold a public office.""

You are unfortunately correct. No one would have thought that after war profiteering Prescott left office no American would ever vote for another Bush.
You would have thought that after Iran Contra no American would ever have voted for a Bush.
You would have thought that after the invasion based on lies no one would ever vote for another Bush
America is a very slow learner.

It was tongue-in-cheek Rob. He's probably not the worst president ever. But saying, hey, he doesn't suck as bad as he could is hardly a glowing endorsement.

Rob,

I'm not sure that being well liked by the right will be of much value to them going forward. On another site I've been working with people that have similar political views to mine. We've been writing Thank You letters to them for the Hagel-Levin cloture vote. Democrats were given the biggest "stick" imaginable to beat every Republican office-seeker over the head with.

Writing Thank You letters to the Republicans I should have said.

It was tongue-in-cheek Rob.

Oh okay... sorry I thought it was serious, I can never tell on this subject if someone is serious.

Bush's legacy I think is one that's going to be debated for a long time. People are always going to focus on Iraq, but History books are also going to mention things like highest approval ratings ever during the time following 9/11... they're going to see an economy that really is pretty good...

Iraq will be the biggest issue, and it will forever be hotley debated, but look at Lyndon Johnson... he's the one to blame for that thing turning into a gigantic mess, and yet some people actually call it Nixon's War. History is a funny old gal... let's say 20 years from now Iraq is actually doing alright... I wonder if Bush will get some of that credit.

Plus Ex-Presidents never really go away... they always keep working on their public image. Nixon, Carter, Bush 41 and Clinton did or are doing a lot of good things since leaving office. Bush isn't just going to slink back to Crawford for the rest of his life...

stock market at highest level ever, higher GDP growth than expected in 2006 including over 5.7% in first quarter, economy is rolling, you liberals have evidence that Bush is the worse president ever? or do like just calling him nasty names?

well Hell! everybody knows the stock market is more important than our international standing... and certainly more important than a mere 3,000 GI deaths !

idiot=anyone who believes george bush is helping anyone other than himself.

I'm not sure that being well liked by the right will be of much value to them going forward.

Both Jeb and George P are well liked by the Republican party... Perhaps you've heard of these things called Primaries? That's where the Republicans get together and elect who the candidate will be for the Presidency or Senate or Governorship...

So the value in being popular in the Republican party, is that the Republican party will vote to elect you their candidate.

Everytime there is a preseident with scandals or low popularity ratings the other side says "This is the end for them."

"Bush isn't just going to slink back to Crawford for the rest of his life..."

No, he'll be hiding out in Paraguay.

well Hell! everybody knows the stock market is more important than our international standing... and certainly more important than a mere 3,000 GI deaths !

Posted by YoMeLIB

Apples and oranges... he was talking about the state of the economy and the domestic issues... which in that case yeah, the standings of the stock market are very important.

As far as international standing goes... I hear this a lot. And yet, we're not alone in Iraq, we're not alone in Afghanistan, we're not alone in talks with North Korea.

We've pissed off the French... whooptie shit... BFD... who gives a rats ass... The French have always been a pseudo-ally, seeking only to serve their needs... fuck em.

Rob - I agree with you to a certain extent. Even Nixon became sort of an "elder statesman" figure later in his life. Who woulda thunk that?

As to Bush's approval ratings after 9/11 - I think history will more likely focus on how that opportunity was squandered by the overarching hubris of the administration.

And even after all this year Johnson's image hasn't really been reedemed from Vietnam. I don't think Bush will ever fully recover from the Iraq debacle either.

Clinton, Bush 1, and even Nixon enjoyed a great deal of residual respect overseas that helped them go on to accomplishments as "exes". Bush 2 will not have that luxury.

Clinton, Bush 1, and even Nixon enjoyed a great deal of residual respect overseas that helped them go on to accomplishments as "exes". Bush 2 will not have that luxury.

It took a Tsunami and a Hurricane for George HW Bush to really get his feet back into things... You never know what the future holds... Like you said "who woulda thunk that" about Nixon, there's only one other way to leave office more disgraced than Nixon did and that wasn't the end of him.

As to the 9/11 approval ratings, you may very well be right about it being squandered, or it may also go down as a commentary on the political nature of today's America... that it was an unsustainable high given the divide between Republicans and Democrats.

And even after all this year Johnson's image hasn't really been reedemed from Vietnam.

Johnson seems at least to me, as to get more credit for the Civil Rights Act then he gets attacked for Vietnam... Nixon for some reason though seems to take a lot of shit for Vietnam. Iraq will always hang over Bush's head, but there are other things going on that could distract from that (good or bad).

Plus there is still the wild card of some key Al Qaeda figures... If Bin Laden is still alive and we can kill him that will be huge for Bush... Zawahiri too, but not so much.

"this year" = these years

No grammar police please!

"As to the 9/11 approval ratings, you may very well be right about it being squandered, or it may also go down as a commentary on the political nature of today's America... that it was an unsustainable high given the divide between Republicans and Democrats."

I have to disagree with that. If you check Bush's ratings just prior to 9/11 they were right around 50% approval. Naturally they spike massively after a national tragedy. I think the country was ready to unite behind him, given the opportunity.

Of course 90% approval ratings are impossible to sustain and there would inevitably been a fall off, but it should never have been to the extent it was.

I believe that will always be a major blotch on this presidency - a complete failure of leadership.

""Nixon for some reason though seems to take a lot of shit for Vietnam.""

Maybe because of his "secret plan" to get us out of Vietnam that he used in his first AND second campaigns. Maybe cuz we felt that he lied to us and used the war for his own political gain. Maybe because 25,000 troops died during his between his first promise to get us out of Vietnam and when it finally happened. 25,000 dead troops sort of bring down your popularity rating.

So Danni you're saying that if we're still in Iraq in 2008, and the new President promises to get us out, but it takes another couple years and 1000 more lives, you will no longer consider Bush's war, but the new guy's? As this seems to be your feelings between Johnson and Nixon.

"but History books are also going to mention things like highest approval ratings ever during the time following 9/11...

Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole at 2007-02-08 11:45 AM | Reply"

No, they won't. A ham sandwich would have gotten those ratings if it were President at that time.

"between Johnson and Nixon."

Nixon took the same deal in 73 he was offered in 69. His "peace with honor" didn't really materialize, nor was the Vietnamization program a success.

So that considered Nixon and Kissinger did own the war because they continued it with no appreciable result other than killing a lot more people.

Johnson will always be remember for the Gulf of Tonkin and Nixon for Watergate. Even when their accomplishments are heralded there's always a negative connotation associated with their presidency.

The one thing that would put Bush in the tank forever is another attack on American soil. And Al Qaeda has two years to do it.

I am just curious, a week or so ago his approval rating was around 33%, What has happened recently to change the minds of 5% of Americans? What dont people get?

Truth - that abysmal State of the Union address didn't help any. A couple of dozen more dead American kids in Iraq and the absurdity of the surge "plan" aren't going over real well either.

The one thing that would put Bush in the tank forever is another attack on American soil. And Al Qaeda has two years to do it.

Posted by MikeSiesel

Yeah, that would be interesting... I've always thought it was stupid to say, "we fight them there so we don't have to here," because if we are attacked it will be seen by everyone as a complete failure.

There could be ways to spin it if it does happen... The bigger it is the less it will hurt Bush I think, because again the country will come together again... and the retaliation would probably be massive enough to distract people (Nukes). But if you started seeing wave after wave of small bombings in cities all over the country, or assassinations, or something like what the DC snipers did on a wide scale... Yeah, Bush would be done.

I am just curious, a week or so ago his approval rating was around 33%

CBS' last poll had him at 30%... its only a 2% drop, which I'm guessing is within the margin of error...

If the economy goes south after Bush leaves office and if the president at the time is a Democrat you already have your excuse planned out for how you will deflect blame back to the Republicans...

This presidency will always be a major blotch on American history.

""So Danni you're saying that if we're still in Iraq in 2008, and the new President promises to get us out, but it takes another couple years and 1000 more lives""

To be fair it would have to be whatever number of troops are dead when the new president takes over and then double it to be the same as Nixon.
Also you would have to continue the war an additional four more years.

Nice try but your math is too far off.

Ignorance abounds as the 911 tragedy/jokes originated in the WH

Reynolds to Cheney: "You're BUSTED!"

Reynolds indicted Richard Cheney, George W. Bush, former Joint Chiefs Chairman Richard Meyers, confessed WTC demolisher and insurance-fraudster Larry Silverstein, and others for mass murder, conspiracy, and other charges including high treason. The enthusiastic response from the overflow crowd was a de facto vote for conviction on all counts.

The former Director of the Criminal Justice Center at the National Center for Policy Analysis, showed that the defendants conspired to create a false cover story of suicide hijackings in order to "blow the World Trade Center to kingdom come" with explosives--a shock-and-awe psy-op designed to coerce the American people into supporting a pre-planned "long war" in the Middle East, massive increases in military spending, and the rollback of Constitutional civil liberties.

Reynolds stated that everyone in the worldwide intelligence community knew that 9/11 was an inside job as soon as it happened, with the obvious stand-down of US air defenses, controlled demolition of the World Trade Center, and non-protection of the President in Florida being the biggest tip-offs. The head of the Russian equivalent of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the former head of the German intelligence service Andreas Von Bulow, former National Security Agency official Wayne Madsen, and former MI-6 agent David Schayler have all openly called 9/11 an inside job, while former CIA official Ray McGovern has confirmed this directly in private, and indirectly in public by way of his ringing endorsement of David Ray Griffin's work on 9/11.

Reynolds, who served as George W. Bush's Labor Department Chief Economist in 2001-2002, believes that a 9/11 truth victory is looming on the near-term horizon. He predicted that one or more of the 9/11 insiders will soon "give it up" and come forward with what they know, saying "Remember, you heard it here first." He said that most of those complicit in the attacks did not realize how over-the-top the plot was, due to the need-to-know compartmentalization of such covert operations, and that some semi-complicit individuals will probably be coming forward. Reynolds said that most of his email acquaintances are now worried that the 9/11 truth movement is going to win, triggering the greatest Constitutional crisis in U.S. history. For Reynolds, this is less a cause for worry than for rejoicing: "We need a Constitutional crisis!"

Actually, it doesn't take any planning to see that future. It just takes a little look at history. Reagan did the same thing as Budhie. Borrowed us into debt more than All Presidents combined, and the economy looked good on this borrowed bubble. Then the bills came due and BushI had to raise taxes, but it still wasn't enough to cover Reagans stupidity, and it took Clinton to get the country on the right track with balanced budgets. Now Bushie sells us to China, and the money he borrowed flows through his friends hands and the economy looks good, until the bills come due. Simple history, not excuses at all.

Ground Zero EMT: We Were Told Building 7 Was to Be "Pulled"

www.prisonplanet.com

New Jersey Emergency Medical Technician asked "how could someone have rigged all these explosives?" before towers collapsed, support columns had been blown out

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
Thursday, February 8, 2007

A New Jersey EMT has gone public on how emergency workers were told that Building 7 was going to be "pulled," before a 20 second demolition countdown broadcast over radio preceded its collapse. The ground zero rescue worker also blows the whistle on how he witnessed multiple underground support columns of the WTC towers that had been severed before the buildings imploded.

In a letter to Loose Change producer Dylan Avery, the individual who wishes to remain anonymous refering to himself only as Mike, 30, NJ, describes how he has repeatedly tried to alert numerous authorities to what he saw on 9/11 but was ignored or told to "shut up" on every occasion, and ultimately fired for disorderly conduct.

The EMT now dismisses the official government explanation of events and slams the 9/11 commission as a "whitewash."

Having been in his profession for six years, the individual states that he was at ground zero before, during and after the collapse. He was forced to flee from the falling towers and take cover under a bus shelter as debris rained down all around him, leaving his lungs poisoned today with the toxic dust that 9/11 heroes were exposed to as a result of a cover-up on behalf of Condoleezza Rice and the EPA that assured workers ground zero air was safe to breathe.

before a 20 second demolition countdown broadcast over radio preceded its collapse

If this is true there would be a recording of it, more than just one person would have heard it as well.

All someone has to do is produce the recording...

Oh wait... that would mean evidence... the Conspiracy Theorists kryptonite...

From an alternate timeline in a 2003 Supergirl storyline by Peter David, this bizarre variety of kryptonite apparently turned heterosexual Kryptonians temporarily into homosexuals; it was seen in just one panel, with Superman giving flattering compliments to Jimmy Olsen about his wardrobe and decorative sense. It spoofs the more "innocent times" of the Silver Age (Lois Lane is depicted in this story as not understanding what's gotten into Superman).

My, my ~ why do people fear big brother so?

Reynolds to Cheney: "You're BUSTED!"

Bani I want to make sure I've got your logic right here...

The United States government has the power to hijack american airliners filled with americans, disappear or kill them (depending on the story), Pilot the planes using remotes and crash them into skyscrapers and the pentagon and for some reason a field in PA, then set off charges that were placed in the buildings before hand without the thousands of employees of those buildings noticing, and keep it secret for 5 years despite a congressional investigation...

But they can't kidnap/kill the people who are starting the conspiracies? If what you are saying is true you'd have been shot in the head before you could click 'Preview Comment'

I love how our President and government goes from most diabolical evil geniuses ever, ever in one breath... to bumbling, stumbling bafoons in the next.

That's the thing about conspiracies... they don't have to make sense... if they are entertaining enough some people will buy into it.

And the Germans knew D-day was coming where, mister A_hole logic?

Bani it doesn't make sense... you're talking about the greatest crime ever committed... the logistics and man power behind it would be massive... No one has come forward... no one has said, "I piloted the planes by remote," or "I planted the charges," or "I demoed the buildings."

Something this big would require hundreds of people to pull off and not one with a credible story or EVIDENCE has come forward.

Plus if people like you are right, the Bush Admin is full of truly evil men... they killed over three thousand Americans in one morning to gain more power, but they'd let a little nothing like you expose the truth? Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

Something this big would require hundreds of people to pull off and not one with a credible story or EVIDENCE has come forward.

Business as usual by the Bush Fun Bunch!

Actually the war in Iraq is the best refutation of any administration involvement in 9-11. If Bush had been at the helm he'd have fucked something up for sure.

And who can forget that "deer in the headlights stare" when Andrew Card told about the second plane hitting the towers?

If anyone knew it wasn't him.

meanwhile back to the Germans, Rob & why (or how?) they didn't know about where the D-Day landing party was due..

I don't understand the question... You want to know why the Germans didn't know we were invading Normandy on June 6, 1944?

Well there were a number of reasons...

One was that the Pas De Calais was the likely spot according the Germans...

We had also moved General Patton and a fake army to an area that looked like a staging point for an invasion of Calais.

We also had double agents sending messages back to Germany making them think we were going elsewhere.

And that combined effort was so successful that the Germans didn't think that the Normandy invasion was the real deal... Commanders felt it was a diversionary tactic and that the true attack was still going to be at the Calais. Several tank divisions were held back waiting for that attack which never came, giving our troops more time to gain a foothold in France.

How many people did that require for secrecy?

A shit-ton... and during a training operation for the plan a German ship attacked and killed many men. When word got back to command about where they were training they recognized that the area had the same makeup as Normandy and further fortified their defenses at that location...

Of the 19 terrorists who hijacked planes, some are said to be alive.

Would someone like to explain why they haven't been on Letterman, Leno, Oprah, etc?

The websites supporting the 9/11 conspiracy claim there are some alive...if they are I'd like to see them interviewed LIVE on TV. Kind of makes the investigators look really stupid and it better supports the 9/11 arguments if they really are alive...

These guys would be Geraldo fodder.

Actually the war in Iraq is the best refutation of any administration involvement in 9-11. If Bush had been at the helm he'd have fucked something up for sure.

everyone claims Bush wanted to go into Iraq immediately after 9/11 thinking it was them.

If Bush were behind 9/11, and were able to manipulate the evidence to implicate Osama Bin Laden, including making him confess, why not just make that data implicate Hussein and Iraq?

As far as conspiracy theories go... this one, along with the Moon Landing nuts have to be the two craziest.

The Bush Family and 9/11

Jeb Bush was a PNAC signatory and he signed Executive Order 01-261 September 7, 2001 which allowed martial law to be declared in his state. His was the first state to declare a state of emergency on 9/11.
Marvin Bush was a principal in a company which provided security for the World Trade Center, United Airlines, and Dulles International Airport. He was in New York on 9/11.

Whilst the entire world was transfixed by the unfolding horror at the World Trade Center President George W. Bush did nothing when he was told America was under attack. He found reading a book about a pet goat more important.

The Bush family are huge beneficiaries of the 'War on Terror' thanks to their connections to the Carlyle Group, and it just so happens that Shafig bin Laden, brother to Osama, was at a Carlyle Group conference in Washington on 9/11:

On 11 September, while Al-Qaeda's planes slammed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, the Carlyle Group hosted a conference at a Washington hotel. Among the guests of honour was a valued investor: Shafig bin Laden, brother to Osama. [Guardian]
The morning of the attack George Bush Sr. is meets with members of the Carlyle Group in Washington. Bin Laden's own brother is at the meeting. [CBC]

Prescott Bush, grandfather of George W., was an investor in the Nazi 'War on Terror':

Declassified US government documents, unearthed last October [2003] by investigative journalist John Buchanan at the New Hampshire Gazette, reveal that Prescott Bush's involvement in financing and arming the Nazis was more extensive than previously known.
Not only was Bush managing director of the Union Banking Corporation, the American branch of Hitler's chief financier's banking network; but among the other companies where Bush was a director--and which were seized by the American government in 1942, under the Trading With the Enemy Act--were a shipping line which imported German spies; an energy company that supplied the Luftwaffe with high-ethyl fuel; and a steel company that employed Jewish slave labor from the Auschwitz concentration camp. ISRAELI EMBASSY IN NYC A RADIATION HOT SPOT

One alleged radiation hot spot on Manhattan's east side has the potential for becoming a political hot spot: A strong radiation spike from the area of the Israeli Embassy. Officials would not comment on why they thought that particular area allegedly showed such a stunning peak in radiation. Has israel smuggled a dirty bomb into the US for a false flag hoax? Is this how WWIII is going to start? -Iran being falsely blamed for an israeli terror operation in New York?

Who benefits?

New Oil Law Means Victory in Iraq for Bush
The reason that George W. Bush insists that "victory" is achievable in Iraq is not that he is deluded or isolated or ignorant or detached from reality or ill-advised. No, it's that his definition of "victory" is different from those bruited about in his own rhetoric and in the ever-earnest disquisitions of the chattering classes in print and online. For Bush, victory is indeed at hand. It could come at any moment now, could already have been achieved by the time you read this. And the driving force behind his planned "surge" of American troops is the need to preserve those fruits of victory that are now ripening in his hand.
As the paper notes, the law will give Exxon Mobil, BP, Shell and other carbon cronies of the White House unprecedented sweetheart deals, allowing them to pump gargantuan profits from Iraq's nominally state-owned oilfields for decades to come. This law has been in the works since the very beginning of the invasion - indeed, since months before the invasion, when the Bush administration brought in Phillip Carroll, former CEO of both Shell and Fluor, the politically-wired oil servicing firm, to devise "contingency plans" for divvying up Iraq's oil after the attack.

Here are some of the members of PNAC; Robert Kagan, William Kristol, William Bennett, Jeb Bush, Dick Cheney, Richard Pearle, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfield, Paul Wolfowitz, Elliot Abrams, Dov Zakheim, Richard Armitage, Dan Quayle, James Woolsey, Ellen Bork, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Charles Krauthammer, John Bolton, Norman Podhertz. There are a few others. It's a bit of an eye-opener to see that most of the architects of American foreign policy and the Iraq attack are listed here. It's also interesting to note that some of the individuals strategically involved in compromising the 2000 presidential election are also here. It is further interesting to note that Dov Zakheim was the man in charge at the pentagon when something in excess of one trillion dollars went missing and ... how about that William Kristol (who along with Robert Kagan founded PNAC) who runs the Weekly Standard? He works for Rupert Murdoch. Nah...geddouddahere! What a whole lot of coincidence I see. The only thing laughable about that entire post is that you think Jeb Bush declaring a state of emergency when our country is attacked while the President is in his state proof that our Government carried out 9/11.

Or that Prescott Bush's alleged involvement with the Nazis means that Al Qaeda had no part in 9/11.

If you have actual evidence that someone in the Bush Administration in the 8 months that they were in office, thought, planned and carried out the attacks of September 11th please... by all means... present it to the world... because that's something a crap ton of people would like to hear.

how about that William Kristol (who along with Robert Kagan founded PNAC) who runs the Weekly Standard?

And that means that America attacked itself on 9/11?

Here are some of the members of PNAC; ...Dan Quayle

Oh wait... never mind... you're totally right.

If that diabolical genius is in the group than they have to have been responsible for the most elaborate crime and deception in American history.

I had no idea Dan "The Brain" Quayle was in PNAC... shit... well you sold me Bani...

Convincing stuff.

2000: George W. Bush is elected (so they tell me) President of the United States. Bush and his family claim to be descendants of the House of Plantagenet which is descended from the Royal House of Judah.

2001: On September 11th the attack on the World Trade Center is orchestrated by Israel with the complicity of Britain and America, under the orders of the Rothschilds as a pretext for removing the liberty of people worldwide in exchange for security, just as happened with the Reichstag fire in Germany where the citizens were lied to in order to give up liberty for security.

They also will use the attacks to gain control of the few nations in the world who don't allow Rothschild central banks and so less than one month after these attacks, US forces attack Afghanistan, one of only 7 nations in the world who don't have a Rothschild controlled central bank.

Less than a week before the 9-11 attack on 5 September, the so-called lead hijacker Mohamed Atta and several other hijackers made a still-unexplained visit onboard one of Pro Israeli lobbyist, Ashkenazi Jew, Jack Abramoff's casino boats.

No investigation is undertook as to what they were doing there. It is discovered that US drug agents' communications have been penetrated. Suspicion falls on two companies, AMDOCS and Comverse Infosys, both owned by Israelis. AMDOCS generates billing data for most US phone companies and is able to provide detailed logs of who is talking to whom.

Comverse Infosys builds the tapping equipment used by law enforcement to eavesdrop on all American telephone calls, but suspicion forms that Comverse Infosys, which gets half of its research and development budget from the Israeli government, has built a back door into the system that is being exploited by Israeli intelligence and that the information gleaned on US drug interdiction efforts is finding its way to drug smugglers.

The investigation by the FBI leads to the exposure of the largest foreign spy ring ever uncovered inside the United States, operated by Israel. Half of the suspected spies have been arrested when 9-11 happens.

On 9-11, 5 Israelis are arrested for dancing and cheering while the World Trade Towers collapse. Supposedly employed by Urban Moving Systems, the Israelis are caught with multiple passports and a lot of cash.

Two of them are later revealed to be Mossad. As witness reports track the activity of the Israelis, it emerges that they were seen at Liberty Park at the time of the first impact, suggesting a foreknowledge of what was to come. The Israelis are interrogated, and then eventually sent back to Israel.

The owner of the moving company used as a cover by the Mossad agents abandons his business and flees to Israel. The United States Government then classifies all of the evidence related to the Israeli agents and their connections to 9-11.

All of this is reported to the public via a four part story on Fox News by Carl Cameron. Pressure from Jewish groups, primarily AIPAC, forces Fox News to remove the story from their website. Two hours prior to the 9-11 attacks, Odigo, an Israeli company with offices just a few blocks from the World Trade Towers, receives an advance warning via the internet.

The manager of the New York Office provides the FBI with the IP address of the sender of the message, but the FBI does not follow this up. The FBI is investigating 5 Israeli moving companies as possible fronts for Israeli intelligence.

It is revealed that prior to the attack millions of dollars of put options on both American Airlines and United Airlines, were traded. The FBI have promised to followed the purchasers up, but have never revealed their findings. That is because this would lead directly to Israel, the state behind the 911 attacks.

Following the World Trade Center attack, anonymous letters containing anthrax are sent to various politicians and media executives. Like the 9-11 attack this is immediately blamed on Al-Qaeda , until it is discovered that the anthrax contained within those letters is a specific type of weaponized anthrax made by a United States military laboratory.

The FBI then discover that the main suspect for these anthrax letters is a Ashkenazi Jew, Dr. Philip Zack, who had been reprimanded several times by his employers due to offensive remarks he made about Arabs. Dr. Philip Zack, was caught on camera entering the storage area where he worked at Fort Detrick which is where the Anthrax was kept. At this point, both the FBI and the mainstream media stopped making any public comments on the case.

Jewish Defence League Chairman since 1985, Ashkenazi Jew, Irv Rubin is jailed for allegedly plotting to bomb a mosque and the offices of a Arab-American congressman. He dies shortly after slitting his throat in a suicide attempt, before he can be brought to trial.

One week prior to the WTC attack, the Zim Shipping Company moves out of its offices in the WTC, breaking its lease and costing the company $50,000. No reason has ever been given, but Zim Shipping Company is half owned by the State of Israel (The Rothschilds).

Eberly--Still talking out your ass I see. Ever reached your goal of making a point yet? Keep trying.

I think, no, I'm sure Eberly jaw is okay, so not talking out of his ass no more...

Well, I'm pretty sure

Eberly--Missing the point as usual. The point wasn't that a link makes it credible. The point was that a link shows your source. Do they have pills for your illness? Check into it. What do paint chips taste like? Chicken?

The point wasn't that a link makes it credible. The point was that a link shows your source.

Well we agree on that. What does that say for your insane consipiracy theories and the "links" you post?

I know, I know......Atta's passport, pentagon videos...the list goes on and on.

Eberly--UM--the question was to Ahole, but you can play if you like. Since you know it was 19 pissed off muslims. Show me some EVIDENCE. But I think you'd better stick to taking out your ass. Your better at that than dealing with facts and logic. EVIDENCE.

Got link?

"taking our your ass"?

I don't take it out......I show it off.

shruberly,

Hey, Oprah's "The Secret" producer is on now!:>)

Oprah said she's been talkin' about "The Secret" since 1785...was that a past life reference slip?

on Lisa's Dream View board:

"Lisa tells all on the Oprah Winfrey Show."

Quote from today's, "Oprah Winfrey Show"

Moneywar, interesting, if somewhat unconventional list. Should be a college history elective reading list. See one of the references: www.reformation.org

Who are the 28%? We need to know so that we don't elect any of them to public office....lest the same thing befalls us all over again!

Most of them are here: Rob, BL2, Loki, ect, ect...

Ya, there are a few idiots who still stick up for Bush in spite of years of lies, mismanagement, arrogance, and a plethora of misdeeds that should cost him his job.

q21.Do you think George W. Bush has strong qualities of leadership , or not?
yes 42% not 55% dk/no

Does Pres. Bush have a clear plan for Iraq? yes 24

Do Democrats have a plan for Iraq?
yes 16%

The Democrats do not control the military KERRING

What difference would it make if they did have a plan? Bush threw out every good idea given him in the last 6 years to do what Dick Cheney wanted in the first place - most recently the Iraq Study Group's recommendations, and the surge over the objections of the joint chiefs.

Why isn't there a Cheney press team covering Darth's every move? After all he is the #1 architect of W's foreign & national security policy.

News news colum in every newspaper and blog should be, "Where's Dick Now?".

News news column in every newspaper and blog should be, "Where's Dick Now?".

"The Democrats do not control the military "......no hon...hahahaha...but they seem to think they can. They have certainly tried with the help of the lefty msm to convince the public that they have a plan.Oohhhh...must be the only ones buying into that one ARE the lefties 16% of y'all to exact.

I'm surprised people even care about his approval rating anymore. He's in his second term right now so I doubt he cares about what people think of him.

well i don't think he is tryin to be re-elected or be popular-what could he be tryin to do -maybe he is wrong and actually thinks he is right -maybe he is right and most thinks he's wrong-he hasn't reacted to polls all along-the only people who are impressed or depressed by his poll numbers are his enemies-at one time he was ridin high -jus shows you how fickle polls are-he's been sayin basically the same thing for almost 6 yrs-the polls have been goin up and down but his message(we must win) hasn't really changed
