A democrat said it all today. He said "We cannot save the iraqi people from themselves". I think that is a true statement. The people have to handle this, and I think they just dont have the balls to do it..

It was "indeed time" three years ago. But this faith-based President with his faith-based war refused to accept reality.
All the bullshit of "we'll stand down when they stand up" meant they didn't have to do a damn thing and they knew it.
They went off and built their militias and planned this civil war while our soldiers died trying to hold things together.

95% of all the violence and 100% of all the body dumping is sectarian violence. We can either choose sides and become the other side's target, or stand in the middle and catch bullets from both sides.
This is the kind of violence only the Iraqis can deal with. Even Abazaid is asking for a fixed timetable from Maliki as to when he's going to do this.
