OK, first line of the new song is:

"A Manatee Lives in Tennessee..."

Next?

Mantees are fabulous, gentle animals that deserve our protection. Many obnoxious boaters in Florida have successfully lobbied to have the FL protections removed. These selfish boaters feel the manatees impede the boaters ablity to have fun. Some even sport shirts that say "I aim for manatees". Florida has a long history of pandering to boaters and the state likes the revenue boaters produce. Acres of beautiful waterfront landscape has been asphalted to provide more parking & boat ramps. I say MORE manatees and LESS boaters would be better.

Does anyone realy give a shit?

How do we know that he SWAM there? Perhaps a UFO picked him up and then dropped him there? Just a thought.

How do we know that he didn't just rapidly evolve from river slime in Tennessee?

How do we know God didn't specially create him just a couple of days ago and place him in Tennessee?

Maybe he just magically appeared.

Jeez. Didn't anyone bother to speak to the Manatee?

How do we know that he's not going to end up as some one's supper?

Manatee.

It's what's for dinner.

Manatee: The Other, Other White Meat.

Manatee: It's 'Crumbelievable.'

Someone needs to send this illegal immigrant back home.

Also from the article:

"This amazing creature, often referred to as Rush Limbaugh, is very unusual in that it is able to host its own nationally syndicated radio show and even managed to develop an addiction to prescription drugs......"

We need to put up a fence in the Mississippi River to keep these manatees out. But only wide enough to cover 1/3 of the river.

Sincerely,

The 109th US Congress.

If we quit now, the manatees win.

OH, THE HUGE MANATEE!

Wow rcade found this story fast.. I heard about this tuesday great reporting...

Is there any lock and dams from tenn to the gulf?

That's not a manatee, its a Dannitee.

"Jim, what's the biggest catfish you ever saw?"

"Well, Huck, I reckon I seen a big ole muskrat-eatin' catfish musta weighed like to near 200 pounds."

"What I jes saw was bigger'n that."

"Boy grab your pole an' let's push off out from here."

Maybe it was just a Mississippi Mermaid!?
