Reuters: Democrats called on the White House on Friday to explain a congressional report showing many contacts with Jack Abramoff, but aides to President George W. Bush dismissed the notion the disgraced lobbyist wielded any influence.

maybe they should try pressing a Cigar up his rectum. They pretty good at that!

485 contacts with WH staff including ten with Karl Rove.

Nah, nuthin there. Move along.

Eagle: they'd probably have to sublease from Jeff Gannon.
If that was a poor attempt at a Clinton deflection, the cigar went in her vagina. If you can't tell the difference, you need a better wife or to just come out of the closet.
Foley and Hasturd will help you if you like 'em young.

something tells me this guy is gonna get a" ken lay" heart attack any day now. theres no way bushco lets him get in front of a judge and spill the beans

if some women came to my home 485 times and i told my wife she was incidental...my testes would be swimming in the pacific. its only a matter of time before he cuts a deal or ends up hanging from his prison cell bed sheets

It's like a party in my
Republican scandal
and everyone's invited.

Wait. Hold on. Let's hear from all sides. We haven't even heard from a Republican (whose party controls the house, the senate, the supreme court and the white house) whine about how minority liberals are picking on them. That poor, oppressed ... erm... majority.

Sassy,

Let's stop listening to the bunch that control the house, senate and white house.

Let's listen to the party of moral rectitude, good conservative values about decency, honesty, integrity - that whole doing-the-right-thing-no-
matter-what that real parents taught their kids to live by when they were raising them.

Where are THOSE folks? Where are the real Republicans when you need 'em? Has the party got any left?

It's a shame this story is buried under the plethora of stories of corruption, lies, mismanagement in all areas of governance, and the myriad of mistakes made by Bush/Cheney due to blind ideology

However, I have a feeling it will be time to pay the piper in 2007 for this crew of UnAmerican "leaders".

Wonder what W's net worth will be when he leaves office? Bet it's going to be many times more than when he entered office. Gotta wonder! What a Harvard MBA can do for a poor boy from Texas!

if some women came to my home 485 times and i told my wife she was incidental...my testes would be swimming in the pacific.

Maybe if she incidentally left a briefcase full of money every time she visited, your wife would be more understanding.

What a Harvard MBA can do for a poor boy from Texas!

George W. Bush was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and contrary to what his image makers would like people to believe, by both heritage and education, he's a 'Yankee'.

OCU

I guess mad Jack only had contacts with republicans and no democrats. People who live in rock houses sholdn't throw glass, they may cut themselves.

Oh well, I guess I try not to give too much money to loosers either.

Abramoff Money and Dems
An earlier post took the NRSC to task for claiming on their website that ""Forty of forty five members of the Democrat Senate Caucus took money from Jack Abramoff."

Not true; Abramoff personally gave money to GOPers only.

NRSC spokesman Brian Nick calls it a typo and correctly points out that other pages on the site add thge words "and associates and tribal clients" when writing of Abramoffian contributions to Dems.

Still, is it really fair to say that "40 of the 45 members of the Senate Democrat Caucus have taken money from Abramoff, his associates, and Indian tribe clients."

Abramoff AND the others? No -- just the others. Not Abramoff.

The Secret World of Jack Abramhoff: Terrorists, Torpedos, & Republican 'Muscle'
June 21, 2005 -Venice, FL.
by Daniel Hopsicker
What the Abramoff scandal is about at the core can be simply stated as: Vegas without rules. And what the politicians are arguing over is the biggest slush fund in the history of the world. Democrats don't want to eliminate it. They just want in on the action.
..
Florida's cruises-to-nowhere represent "the largest unregulated gambling industry in the United States," said Bill Thompson, a professor of gambling at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and nationally recognized expert on the industry, in an interview in the Miami Herald.

They gross at least $170 million a year. And that's just the number they report voluntarily. No one knows the true take.' Everyone assumes there's a skim.'

The Miami Herald cited the example of Joseph Polidore, who listed himself as the sole owner of Boca Casinos in Pompano Beach but said he received money for his investment from a "personal friend." Polidore admitted he had silent partners, but insisted they were "nobody illegal."
