Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

ABC's airing of its "Path to 9/11" docudrama last night has drawn its first lawsuit threat, and the surprise is that it's coming not from angry Democrats but from an "outraged" American Airlines.

Did they get anything in this piece of shit factually correct?

What a lot of people have forgotten, too, is that these flights were booked to capacity every day, every week, for years. Then on 9/11, they're almost half empty. Legend has it that the empty seats were purchased in advance by the hijackers to reduce the level of opposition they might face with their box-cutters. The question I have always asked is why no one got suspicious that these always-booked flights were leaving the gate nearly half empty for the first time ever.

Jimi- As long as the seats are paid for, the airplanes don't care. Or rather, they didn't used to.

Do you have a link for that half empt seats thing? I don't recall ever hearing that.

I just reached my limit on this piece of shit show. It happened last night well before the end. Now we're well under Bush's regime and the message is "we could have done our job if only Clinton hadn't cut our budget. We could have connected the dots. We could have had translators. Don't blame us!"

It's a factual mess, it's agenda laden, and from the reaction from those on the right at Drudge, they are eating it up like candy.

I hope AA sues the shit out of anyone involved in this crap, followed by Clinton, Albright, Clarke, any one else. I wouldn't miss ABC one bit after this charade.

No, sorry, alex, no link. I'm just fishing back from memory. Still, I guess one could count the number of passengers reportedly on each plane and compare those numbers to the planes' seating capacity.

Meanwhile, I guess we can expect Congress to rush through the "Airline Industry Recovery Act of 2006" that will prohibit airlines from suing networks. Probably tucked into some bill declaring baseball to be our national pastime and apple pie our national dessert. At 3:30 a.m. on a Sunday.

Yav, I have written off ABC forever now, as well as their entire corporate empire. I know I won't make much difference, but principles are principles.

I used to LOVE Good Morning America, but that was a LONG time ago. And Disneyland was my childhood favorite each week. Davy Crockett and all! What's not to like?

Ah, ABC, we hardly knew ye.

ABC's totally unaccurate crapudrama.

I hear ya, Jimi. I'll calm down about this, but for now, unless ABC does something to redeem itself, it's off my viewing list. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about Disney.

Bush's speech was also piss poor and a missed opportunity.

To spread lies about a human tragedy goes beyond the pale. How in the heck do they think they can rewrite history? Thousands died, many more thousands suffered loss, many hundreds of people are now sick because of the toxic wastes at the site, and yet they think they can dispense with truth and inject fiction because some supposed "arty" director thinks its cool or fashionable to express his artistic license. ABC will never be on my tube, ever ever again, and I will be happy to encourage others to boycott this deceitful network.

I can tell you're seething, Yav. As for Disney, I don't recall much that's been worth watching from them for a while. I did hear that "Cars" was good. Maybe I can catch it at a friend's house on Tivo or something. Or not.

As for Bush--I don't watch him anymore. No exceptions.

Left, I think it's not as naive as some director being artsy. I think there's an industry now to deflect blame for 9/11 from where it should, if reality means anything, be placed. Or at least there's an attempt to get people to stop asking questions. Trouble is, these headline-making controversies simply open the whole can of worms for them all over again.

I gather everyone has read the thread about the religious conservatives who have gone to Hollywood to change the culture there. Apparently, they will start with changing facts and rewriting history.

Freedom of speech works two ways, so I am fine with anyone removing ABC from their channel list. I am making up a new one without them on it for my own use. We'll see how long it lasts. The only thing I really enjoyed was Alias anyway.

Jimi, yeah, I was, but I'm calm now. I get over things like this pretty quickly.

Bush made linkages that weren't there, also used a few words that I'm pretty sure don't exist. I want to see the speech again so I can start using one in particular. I wish I could remember it - it began with a "b" and ended with an "ity" instead of an "ism."

He used the opportunity to say the same thing he's said for years with a token reference to what today was really about. He also did his best to link 9/11 to Iraq. But it wasn't "political." (yeah... right).

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

ABC is definitely off Spuds Christmas list!

Wotta load of BUSHIT!

This mocku-meller-drama is such an obvious piece of revisionist propaganda that Spud can hardly believe the morons actually showed it!

Was it written by Carl Rove and the crew who did "Saving Private Lynch" or wot?

AA should sue.
Bubba should sue.

Anybody who watched it and ended up wasting valuable time that they are never gonna get back should sue!

Spud ended up turning it off in disgust and flipping over to the CBC which was rife with good documentaries.

Spud re-watched "Why We Fight"
Also "9/11 Toxic Legacy" and "The Secret History of 9/11".

Good stuff sez Spud.

www.cbc.ca

If Spud is gonna watch a fake documentary Spud'll take "This is Spinal Tap" every single time over this Absolute Bullshit Creation!

Be Well.

Yep, Spud, "Why We Fight" is a great film. I thought it should have been subtitled "Dwight D. Eisenhower--the last great Republican president." Also, "Spinal Tap" is indeed far superior to "Road to 9/11" if you want to watch a complete farce.

Yav, I don't think when you pull the little string in Duya's back you get anything other that "Iraq terrrrrrism 9/11" or something. It always sounds the same, like a Model T Ford somehow still coughing down the lane.

The warning depicted in the movie actually popped up when Mr. Atta went to board a plane from Maine to Boston, not in Boston, and the airline wasn't American. Pre-9/11, warnings issued were to ensure that bags of last-minute passengers traveled with them.

This had to be a liberal plan.... Ole Bill ( I feel your pain ) wouldn't want any terrorist to wind up traveling without his luggage now would he? That Bill, he's quite a guy.

Don't fuss so much libs. I'm sure they're on night line trashing the performance of the current administration right about ........... NOW.

Dubya's.

Not that Nightline doesn't have grist for that mill, Dirt.

Nah, I don't like Bill much, but I'll take a zillion of him to one Bush administration. It's not just Bush, it's pretty much all of them.

I am sure you pinkos were equally as outraged at ferinheit 9/11 by Michael Moore.

..ain't that right, hypocrites!!!???

Most of you air american woosies probably still think that 9/11 was an inside job.

Peace through Strength...out.

This is a liberal forum, where most of you believe that the towers were brought down by controlled demolitions. The conspiracy runs from "a missile hit the Pentagon" to "WTC 7 was brought down by preset thermite charges" to "the Bush Administration planned 9/11 to declare war on the Middle East, and no planes were hijacked at all." And now you're uptight, because of an omission here or there about American Airlines?

What a joke.

BTW, Jimi Left, I've flown near-empty planes first thing in the morning. If, as you suggest, all the tickets on these flights were bought up beforehand, this is the first I'm hearing about it.

RIR, I did say up above that it's only a recollection from back then. My sister lived in Boston then, and I think I heard it from her. Can't really recall, but hey, we could chew this bone all night.

The flights were not "first thing in the morning." They were at the start of the business day, not 5:30 a.m.

Brady, I don't know that 9/11 *wasn't* an inside job, because the info has been so thoroughly stonewalled/classified/ withheld/spun that no one can really tell. But our bad for scratching our heads over this.

Jimi..if your head is that deep in the sand with the "inside job theory," well I am sorry, but I cannot help you.

Now, If I were to tell you that Al Gore has created a heat source to melt the polar ice caps to further his global warming agenda, you would say I am crazy. I would have to agree with you.

My point is, if you will not even concede the fact that we were attacked by Al Queda Terrorists on 9/11, then you are either crazy or you know the truth and are using 9/11 as political entertainment. Either way, this conversation has just ended.

I saw the second plane hit on the tv, and all i could think of was, those sons of bitches, I'm gonna make them pay. Revenge, cold and simple. We were all in it together. We all wanted revenge, in one way or another. Nothing wrong with that. Mr. Bush does not exude confidence or displays any competence to exact that revenge we need. He is our employee, time to let him go on the grounds of negligence, disregard for personal rights, and crimes against nature. And no severance pay either.

1

Severance pay? They've already written themselves blank checks. When this group leaves the White House they'll steal the stove and make a second trip for the smoke.

I am also angry that this administration has cowed to liberal pressures both foreign and domestic. I feel that his idea is to do the job and appease the left at the same time. It is frustrating.

I am somewhat comforted by the fact that at least he is doing the job and he is trying to protect us. I am livid at the liberal scum who put politics above country. They should be given the scarlet letter.

DooDoo...I think you are mistaking this admin for the former.

I hadn't heard about this warning before. Just goes to show that where our security failed the most was at level where it shouldn't have... at the airport.

We can all argue back and forth about Clinton not responding or Bush and the PDB or Bin Laden or whatever. But the fact remains that they were all searched. They all went through numerous checkpoints at the airport, their bags were screened they were wanded by security.

A little more diligence on the part of our security personnel would have done wonders. But then again, they're low wage hourly employees so I'm not really blaming them.

Hiring more professional security, and maybe even a terrorist profiling system would have been a good idea too.

You're angry and frustrated and your party controls the U.S. Government?

23 percenter for sure.

Damn it must suck being a 23 percenter.

Larry

I didn't see part two. :( I really wanted to after watching part one. I'm always amazed at how Americans can take the seminal event of their generation and turn it into a whorish movie of the week.

I loved how the film, and it sounds dirty to call it that, went from Dec. 31, 1999 to Sept. 11, 2001. What happened in those 9-months? Is that going to be in the special 5-yr-anniversary dvd set - sold, I'm sure, whith a piece of original debris?

I'm not too upset with this film. It's a propaganda film made without the artistic eye of a professional. Leni Riesenthal must be shaking her head in hell.

Intersting how the attack ultimately came from a corporation, though.

Generico says Intersting how the attack ultimately came from a corporation, though.

I've been thinking about that. This is interesting:

Payback or insurance?

By the way, TownNCountry liked the 2nd half. I didn't.

Generico - here's some more chat about the 2nd half:

As the aging wealthy bachelor uncle living in Central Florida I am depended upon every winter/spring to provide housing and fully paid trips to Disney and Epcot for all of my nieces, nephews, and their parents...and sometimes supernumeraries they lug with them...

In the last 48 hours I have contacted all via email that this will not be happening again...There is Universal, Silver Springs, Busch Gardens, and more and more all within easy driving distance...

Disney is out when they start playing politics, and so is ABC...I canceled my paid weather service with my local affiliate...SCREW EM and I urge all Democrats to do the same...Let the Republicans PAY EXTRA to support them...They have MORE money...45 MILLION just for DIRT SLINGING

Interesting story.

"Please know this was a tragic incident in our company's history and we hope you will be sympathetic to our employees and our airline on this day especially.

"Again, we are outraged by this situation, and we alerted ABC about its gross error. It is very unfortunate."

While I can understand American Airline's sensitivity to the scene in "Path to 911," when I viewed the referenced scene I picked up on the procedure in place at that time of ensuring bags of last-minute passengers traveled with them -- I did not focus in on the airline or the airport. The scene made the main point -- security procedures pre-9/11. Of course, many will protest every hair out of place in the presentation.

Such wrath. eeeee...so Scarey.

"Of course, many will protest every hair out of place in the presentation."

Maybe that's what Brent Bozell was protesting:

"The Reagans" miniseries might have been pulled because of disagreements over its script..

Brent Bozell, founder of the Media Research Center, scoffed at the notion that CBS was stifling free speech.

"There is no such thing as creative license to invent falsehoods about people," Bozell said. "I don't care who you are. You don't have that right."

So, what does this say about the "liberal left-leaning media"? Maybe the rantapublicans will at least stop throwing THAT mantra around for a while. Or not.

I personally cannot shed a tear for American Arlines. This stupid tv show, which could only be taken seriously by stupid American TV-watchers, is a little black eye that'll heal over and be forgotten quickly. Now, about those two, actually three, big buildings in NYC that came crashing down five years ago when their airplanes flew into them...

and I am sure that you will also dismiss the attack this morning on the american embassy in damascus from a car bomb and then the bastards tried firing guns and throwiong grenades.......

but I am sure that this is all just a lie of bush or cheney isnt it......

Just out of curiosity, because I did NOT watch this junk TV, did ABC and the writers get ANYTHING right except the date?

Looking back yesterday the one thing that really struck me was how totally Shrub had the backing of almost every living American on 9/11 and how he has completely squandered that opportunity to truly be a uniter. He is now the biggest 'divider' this country has known since Mr. Lincoln.

here is something I have to ask since the conspiracy theory has come up here a little bit..

you guys on the left believe that the government under bush was able to get hundreds of people to co-operate together and kill thousands of people with the towers and all of that.....and you are the same people who dont think that the bush administraton is smart enough to catch bin laden.....well which is it....
give us a clue....

and this movie with its hollywood changes that we all know are there in some places.....it was still based on the 9/11 commisson report and there are plenty of facts shown in the movie where we dropped the ball......it does show the truth as provided by people who WERE THERE...such as LT COL. buzz patterson....who said that clinton had 6 chances to get bin laden and didnt......would that have stopped 9/11...maybe not.....and last night showed that people in the bush administraton should have heeded the warnings from people like oniell and the agents.....but here is my main point...
dems are not capable or want to treat this as a war..but as criminal offenses and that will get hundreds if not thousands more people killed since it is a reaction to an event rather than pre emptive to an event.....which one will save your life?

and let me say again...I AM NOT BLAMING CLINTON FOR NOT ACTING........I am blaming the entire government beaurocrats for not having the balls to do what was needed....and if that is the case then you can also blame the american liberals who would have screamed foul if we had killed binladen....the american criminal liberties union would have sued the government and the further 'pussification' of the american male would have continued.......
and my opinion on this comes from the 9/11 report more than from this docu drama......these are facts...that people in the government were covering their own ass and thousands died because of it and it really doesnt make a difference what party they belonged to at that time.....

and what of mossaoud.......why was he killed by a suicide bomber when he could have done this dirty work for us......at least as it is shown in this movie...I really am interested in knowing more about this whole thing without hollywood involved.

Did they get anything in this piece of shit factually correct?

Posted by Alexandrite at 2006-09-11 09:30 PM | Reply

Bush was in the classroom on 9/11 and planes were crashed into the towers.

That is about all they got correct.

Personally I liked how the Saudi hijackers were not identified as being Saudi's. Didn't want to upset our good friends over there now do we?

" if that is the case then you can also blame the american liberals who would have screamed foul if we had killed binladen"

How the hell can you take a hypothetical and then talk about the results as if they happened??

Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess.

LOL

What a joke.

BLT,

You are incorrect in your premise. Dems want to prosecute this as an all out effort to catch who is responsible for these attacks.

Bushit dropped the ball. He has no plans on catching Osama. He let him get away at Tora Bora and now he is safe and secure in Pakistan.

Neocons want to treat 9/11 as an excuse to impose their "vision" on the ME and install a permanent military presence there. Perpetual war to keep the "war machine" oiled and humming and loot the treasury are their goals.

Now who is going to keep you safe?

Looking back yesterday the one thing that really struck me was how totally Shrub had the backing of almost every living American on 9/11 and how he has completely squandered that opportunity to truly be a uniter. He is now the biggest 'divider' this country has known since Mr. Lincoln.

The country was polarized and divided before 9/11/01 -- anyone here recall the 2000 election? I knew that you could.

The shock of 9/11 united the country briefly. The relatively swift recovery --defeat of the Taliban in Afghanistan (despite residual hostilities, it no longer functions as the terrorist haven it had been), the failure to disrupt the U.S. economy long term, the absence of any real requirement for the average citizen to sacrifice personally to support the war effort (as in the universal draft and rationing during WWII) -- assured an equally swift return to the pre 9/11 political divisions; only with greater acrimony.

right......please tell me how bush let him get away in tora bora...I have read several accounts of this but let me hear what you know of it...I am interested in seeing how they compare?

was it because he didnt answer the phone when the national security advisor called.....oops no .,that was BJ clinton.....was he watching golf on tv and didnt get back in time to call....oops nope that was clinton too according to people who were there......

but really .....please explain to me what happened in tora bora...

lisa .....I can make a point like that because of the track record of the aclu....and why were all of these people covering thier ass, if their ass wouldnt have been on the line?

"Gary Berntsen, the former CIA officer who led the first and last hunt for bin Laden at Tora Bora, in December 2001, says, "This could all end tomorrow." One unsolicited walk-in. One tribesman seeking to collect the $25 million reward. One courier who would rather his kids grow up in the United States. One dealmaker, "and this could all change," Berntsen said.

On the videotape obtained by the CIA, bin Laden is seen confidently instructing his party how to dig holes in the ground to lie in undetected at night. A bomb dropped by a U.S. aircraft can be seen exploding in the distance. "We were there last night," bin Laden says without much concern in his voice. He was in or headed toward Pakistan, counterterrorism officials think.
That was December 2001. Only two months later, Bush decided to pull out most of the special operations troops and their CIA counterparts in the paramilitary division that were leading the hunt for bin Laden in Afghanistan to prepare for war in Iraq, said Flynt Leverett, then an expert on the Middle East at the National Security Council.
"I was appalled when I learned about it," said Leverett, who has become an outspoken critic of the administration's counterterrorism policy. "I don't know of anyone who thought it was a good idea. It's very likely that bin Laden would be dead or in American custody if we hadn't done that." "

" why were all of these people covering thier ass, if their ass wouldnt have been on the line?"

You're talking about the Bush administration now, right?

U.S. Concludes Bin Laden Escaped at Tora Bora Fight
Failure to Send Troops in Pursuit Termed Major Error

By Barton Gellman and Thomas E. Ricks
Washington Post Staff Writers

The Bush administration has concluded that Osama bin Laden was present during the battle for Tora Bora late last year and that failure to commit U.S. ground troops to hunt him was its gravest error in the war against al Qaeda, according to civilian and military officials with first-hand knowledge.

CIA field commander for the agency's Jawbreaker team at Tora Bora, Gary Berntsen, says he and other U.S. commanders did know that bin Laden was among the hundreds of fleeing Qaeda and Taliban members. Berntsen says he had definitive intelligence that bin Laden was holed up at Tora Bora--intelligence operatives had tracked him--and could have been caught. "He was there," Berntsen tells NEWSWEEK. Asked to comment on Berntsen's remarks, National Security Council spokesman Frederick Jones passed on 2004 statements from former CENTCOM commander Gen. Tommy Franks. "We don't know to this day whether Mr. bin Laden was at Tora Bora in December 2001," Franks wrote in an Oct. 19 New York Times op-ed. "Bin Laden was never within our grasp." Berntsen says Franks is "a great American. But he was not on the ground out there. I was."

the decorated career CIA officer criticizes Donald Rumsfeld's Defense Department for not providing enough support to the CIA and the Pentagon's own Special Forces teams in the final hours of Tora Bora,

okay.....right.....so you are saying that by pulling these people out...I assume to go to iraq, that bush let bin laden go....okay...sounds bad on first reading....and so now that bin laden is living in a cave somewhere or even more hiden...what Now? there has been more money provided to hunt him and I read the other day that areas are being saturated with people looking for clues....

and then tell me...I assume that the reason that you consider it so important to get him...is to what put a face on what we are doing.....I want us to get him to bring him to justice......hell no..I want him dead and not in the hands of some liberal lawyer..........and if I want him dead, why would I be okay with him getting away again....like he did SIX TIMES when BJ was the pres......

and before the howls of deflection come from the peanut gallery......if we let him get away here..that is a serious fubr, so dont get too comfortable on that high horse.....

"like he did SIX TIMES when BJ was the pres"

You are just too delusional and partisanly blinded to have conversations with.

Seek help.

thank you head peanut......lol

rightnutz.....just heard on the radio and tell me if you think this is true....
that the places in northern afghanistan are places are not under the government rule and havent been for a thousand years....the tribal groups and elders and all that....and if someone comes in and ask for asylum..tradition tells them that regardless of who it was or what they did...that they have to hide them and keep them there....and even in the face of the 25 million award...they will not devulge the whereabouts.....and it is said that this is where bin laden is...

does that sound logical to you?

this was from a former intelligence agent....who also says that about half of our intelligence people believe that he is already dead......what do you think of that?

"does that sound logical to you?"

Please retransmit in English.

(PS: You don't have to be a cultural anthropologist to know that $25 million can overcome a lot of hospitality, IF the targeted audience is willing. If this is going to be the new Republithug talking point, you'll need to refine it quite a bit.)

"this was from a former intelligence agent....who also says that about half of our intelligence people believe that he is already dead......what do you think of that?"

a guy...I think he was a Poli Sci major...once suggested to me that humans are the descendants of... alien spoors that crashed into earth... millions of years ago...what do you think of that?

someone else...she might've been an English major...or a flutist...once told me that the glass is half full...not half empty...what do you think of that?

I was just talking about what I heard on the radio.....that if bin laden was in this area where these tribes are that they will not give him up even for 25 million......and that we cant get any information about him either......there was no political point to make by myself.....

"there was no political point to make by myself....."

Then it's in good hands.

but it is apparent ...ZARK...that you arent serious about having a discussion on it....so this will close this thread......

A discussion about what?

About stuff that's been hashed and rehashed for years?

The OBL is dead argument has now become another NeoCon deflection to lessen the sting of their chain of endless, consistent failure.

Evidence? Let's see it.

Otherwise, we're dealing with hypotheticals for which there is no answer.

"like he did SIX TIMES when BJ was the pres......"

Nice sound bite.

Not a hint of truth in it.

SIX TIMES? No hint of truth at all.

Unless, of course, there's a source (with a link). Doubtful, however.

Hans

"such as LT COL. buzz patterson....who said that clinton had 6 chances to get bin laden and didnt......"

Come on, bl2.

Where's the proof (other than the rantings of a right-wing radio host)?

"was it because he didnt answer the phone when the national security advisor called.....oops no .,that was BJ clinton....."

Let me guess: You made this up, right?

Hans

damn it hans......when someask you if you want sex....do you ask them for a link......

the six times is from an interview I heard yesterday from lt col buzz patterson who was in the white house during this time.....you will have to take my word that he said that......now it you dont want to take my word that it was the truth okay....thats different...but I believe him........

take my word that it was the truth okay

meant to say take HIS WORD that it was the truth...obviously....

"......now it you dont want to take my word that it was the truth okay....thats different...but I believe him........"

Oh, it was an opinion?

In otherwords: Bullshit from a right-wing radio talk show host who makes money slamming Clinton.

No wonder you "believe" him.

Hans

"meant to say take HIS WORD that it was the truth...obviously...."

That's like saying take Michael Moore's word that it was the truth.

Right, bl2?

Hans

"damn it hans......when someask you if you want sex....do you ask them for a link......"

Here's a dime, buy a clue:

When someone asks a question they're NOT claiming something which requires backup (aka: proof).

Are you really that stupid? (Rhetorical question, no answer necessary).

Hans

Hans,

Thats pretty funny seeing you doubt a clinton staffer, especially the one carrying the nukular code, that is herd werk.

Yet you and all the left never have any doubts when and insider says something about Bush.

squirm puppies

"Thats pretty funny seeing you doubt a clinton staffer, especially the one carrying the nukular code, that is herd werk."

Sorry. He was not a "Clinton staffer."

He was a soldier on a military assignment.

He was not a political appointee or one of the president's advisors.

He was a soldier on a military assignment. Period.

Hans

To claim otherwise is "pretty funny".

Hans

Who was the commander in chief Hans? Who did this man work for?

Pretty funny that he can be trusted to carry the Nuklar code, but not to tell the truth.

To claim otherwise is "pretty funny"

And Hans, if Clinton didn't trust him, you dont think he could get some one different? It would be hard for clinton to trust any of them as he does loathe the military.

I heard Harvey Keitel interviewed yesterday and he is in this "docudrama".
Even he said some scenes should have been pulled. He looked like he was ashamed to have taken part in this disgusting piece of propaganda labeled "docudrama" simply to prevent law suits.

"Pretty funny that he can be trusted to carry the Nuklar code..."

I'm sure he did his military duty just fine.

"...but not to tell the truth."

Trust a right-wing radio talkshow host? One who makes his living slamming Clinton?
Someone who makes lots of money doing so?

Tell the truth? Nope. I don't believe him for a minute. He has too much vested interested in spinning lies.

To claim otherwise is "pretty funny"

Hans

...oh and golf too.

squirm doggies

"And Hans, if Clinton didn't trust him, you dont think he could get some one different?"

As I said, I'm sure he did his military duty just fine... especially waiting outside the closed doors of the offices where Clinton was forming policy and executing his powers as president.

Hans

Thats funny Hans, I sure would have bet that the man carrying our codes would be quite trustworthy, as the BACKGROUND checks would have shown.

You know Cliton had a lot of fbi folders, I am sure one was his. So you think he just started lying after he was thru with Cliton Hans?

Now that would be funny.

squirm

Of course, some may choose to believe that the carrier of the "football" was present in each and every meeting with the president, just like they may choose to believe that the carrier of the "football" showers with the president.

Of course, some also choose to believe in Santa Claus.

Hans

especially waiting outside the closed doors of the offices where Clinton was forming policy and executing his powers as president.

Is that Hans where Cliton could not remember if he and Monica were alone?

squirm

"I sure would have bet that the man carrying our codes would be quite trustworthy"

I'm sure he did his military duty just fine.

Hans

Yup, and I'm just as sure now he is telling the truth, just like he did his duty just fine.

squirm

"Is that Hans where Cliton could not remember if he and Monica were alone?"

Oh, I see, now you're claiming that the carrier of the "football" is always in the physical presence of the president?

Personally present in every meeting that the president attends?

Including his "meetings" with Lewinsky?

Right.

Hans

"Yup, and I'm just as sure now he is telling the truth,"

This person?

Oh, the author of such classics as "Dereliction of Duty: How Bill Clinton Compromised America's National Security," "Reckless Disregard: How Liberal Democrats Undercut Our Military, Endanger Our Soldiers, and Jeopardize Our Security,"and the forthcoming "War Crimes: The Left's Campaign to Eliminate the Military and Lose the War on Terror." The host of "The Buzz Cut" for the RighTalk Radio Network. Oh, and Chief Operating Officer for the Center for the Study of Popular Culture in LA, David Horowtiz's "think tank."

Thanks to Zarkov for that.

He has "Rush Limbaugh/Ann Coulter" liar written all over him.

Like I said, some even believe in Santa Claus

Hans

Hans he has as much credibility as any on your side.

Hans I also never said he was with him all the time.

Do you still believe in Santa, I dont, but it seems like you do.

squirm

...and thats why I knew Fitzmas wasn't coming and you all thought it would be here early.

squirm

Eaxactly why you guys are SQUIRMING!

"Dereliction of Duty: How Bill Clinton Compromised America's National Security,"

"...he has as much credibility as any on your side."

You've just excused anything you have to say here from serious consideration.

As if additional reasons were required.

Squrim yourself.

The person who invented the word "docudrama" needs to be drawn and quartered.

Rightiswrong,

"This is a liberal forum, where most of you believe that the towers were brought down by controlled demolitions"

huh? since when?

what a fabrication of facts. but...then again...I suppose you're used to that.

I saw conservative web-sites putting that idea out, too.

Good to see you sqirming Zarkov.

And then admitting that no one on your side has any credibility.

"most" is what I'm questioning about your statement. How about, "some".

Bill are you saying there is not a group on here that feels that?

I agree with you Bill, but it is more than a few.

I am doubting your choice of the word "most". "Some" would be more accurate.

You know what this thread needs? Midol. What a bunch of whining broads.

oh, I almost forgot...You too Danni.

Phunny phlag, for sure.

101,

Talk about whining!!

Do you have any idea how conservatives come across when they blame everything that goes wrong on someone else.

waaa waaaa...it's not my fault...I didn't do it...waaa waaa...Johnny broke it...

Johnson,
Sit on it.

101,

furthermore...I contrasted to a "child". You're contrasted complaining to a female. You are a sexist pig, sir.

"broad"? I guess you still worried about long haired hippies, too.

hahaha.....

I think not.

The movie obviously complete bullshit and whoever is responsible for it's content is not a valid source of information on anything. That's really all there is to it.

DOGMAN

Scarey

As the aging wealthy bachelor uncle living in Central Florida

There used to be a time when that was a euphamisim for "Gay".

I sure that ABC/Capital Cities is going to miss your patronage, along with Jimi, Spud (are there any Disneylands in the Great White North?) Chris and of course the tin hat conspiracy crowd.

Are you guys still on about Monica Lewinsky? It was seven years ago. Get over it. Never have I seen so many people fascinated with someone else's marital affair. God, you'd think that the two of them were copulating every minute of the day he was in office. Get a life, she sucked on his penis how many times and why should we care?

Now, back to the program. We knew it was going to be Harvey Kietel's swandive into television obscurity - and, judging by his somber, defeated acting style, you know he knows it, too.

We knew it was going to have a certain, how do you say it, slant - and it didn't disappoint. The 8-milliseconds devoted to the Bush government issuing a collective "Du-uh..." during the 9-months it was in power said a lot. That was a time, if you recall, where they were told by the departing Clinton administration that terrorism by Bin Laden was going to be their top priority and the Bush administration was even sent a memo about it.

Come to think of it, those 9 months of the Dunce Cap. Hill Gang seemed to be filled with a lot of golfing and golfing, even during a lightning storm, just doesn't make good television.

Stewart: I mean these are network executives making these decisions about these films. Be thankful that Condoleeza Rice character is still black.
