Soooooo..... "Osama bin Laden's ultimate goal" is "setting up a violent, radical Islamic empire based in Iraq"

Hmmmmm.... now, whoooommmm is responsible for that even being a possibility, eh?

He should'na gone in so all alone, and he should'na managed it SO poorly when he did go in so all alone.

Every Prezzy must get stoned! Alright!

Now, a group who's head we may coulda cut off in Tora Bora is REBORN as the next Ruler of Iraq.

No wonder GW let him go and then gave him his own country from which to attack US.

That ought to get a bunch of Rethug Presidents elected!

What a legacy!

Thanks, George. You've done enough now, just.... go home!

The chances of al Qaeda ever establishing a 'caliphate' in Iraq are slim to none.

OBL is a Sunni. Al Qaeda is a Sunni group.

Iraq is majority Shia. If there is ever to be a caliphate it must be in Arabia, where the Sunni's holy sites are.

Too bad GW didn't remember this when he gave this speech.

It is rather complex for a mind such as his.

Wasn't Saddam and his cronies all Sunni's? And he was absolute ruler of Iraq for how many years?

OCU

Yes, Saddam et al were Sunni. But, they were also secular and ruled by brute force.

Saddam was not Islamic caliph material.

For a Sunni caliph to emerge in Iraq would require a healing of the schism in Islam.

It would take another prophet to pull that one off and Muhammed was the last one.

Kind of amusing, how terrified the fearful right is of these guys.

Too bad Bush just had his pals in Pakistan give Osama a pardon: it kind of takes away any impact Bushit's might words might have.
