Putin was on BBC World TV last week answering open questions sent in via email. He was intelligent, informed and well-spoken (at least as far as the translation came over). He didn't avoid any topics and had a reasonable answer for everything. Reminded me a little of Tony Blair, or the leader of pretty much any modern country, except the U.S.A.
