I feel sorry for a military veteran who had all his personal VA info stolen last week and was so depressed about it he decided to take a vacation getaway and then booked his hotel room via "hotel.com."

The Veterans error is even bigger than that. It also involves a lot of active duty. For this, the fact the information was on a computer rather than the server has to mean the information was sold.

This is horrible

Ten bucks says the auditor used to work for Arthur Anderson, on the Enron account. Or the Worldcom account.

Was AA involved in Tycho, too? So many scandals, it's hard to keep track.

More than 40,000 active duty Navy and Army -- I heard on the news -- had their ID taken in this theft.

When will we stop using our Social Security numbers as identificaiton numbers? When SS was setup that number was NOT supposed to be a National ID number. It was ONLY supposed to be used for our Social Security. It needs to go back to only that use.
