MOSCOW (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin offered couples cash to have more children to halt a dramatic decline in population and called for a stronger army in a key speech on Wednesday in which he shrugged off sharp attacks by Washington. [Reuters]

Russian women (good looking ones) are marrying westerners and getting out the others are stuck with vodka drinking pigs. So it ain't gonna happen Putin

Putin Bribes Russians to Make Babies

Well, it sure beats spending billions to kill babies.

Who would want to bring a child into the world in Russia? I'd sooner have children in Mexico. At least they would then have the hope of becoming a US citizen...

Anti Abortion forces in America should have Russia give them money to pay women not to have abortions in the United States...

The Republican Party could pay the air fair for the infants to be sent to Russia...

Since the Republicans don't want to pay for health care for infants born to poor Americans, and they don't want to pay for prenatal or postnatal care, nor well baby care, then they would save millions exporting these children to Russia...

And when America sinks into third world degradation, then perhaps we will have a few folks in Russia willing to help us...

Putin is the former head of the USSR KGB. He's a shifty, beady-eyed dirtbag, lying communist. He is NOT to be trusted.

Sorta like a US Congressman.

-C

Or anyone in the Republican party.

"Since the Republicans don't want to pay for health care for infants born to poor"

How many fucking times are you going to say this in one day, Scaredy? I keep trying to friggin tell you that yes, Republicans, or at least conservatives, are for trimming government spending, even some entitlements. But you have no idea what goes on outside government. I mean, just because every man woman and soul is not legally compelled to participate in charity doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Plently of Republicans have gone out of their way to help the poor, whether you feel like admitting it or not.

"And when America sinks into third world degradation, "

Whatever. You are so far removed from even the middle class in this country you'll never even know what that's all about-- unless it's a socialist uprising. Then you'll probably be out in front of it.

"Since the Republicans don't want to pay for health care for infants born to poor"

Ill be willing to pay for condoms for the poor...good lord..this aint rocket science...everyone knows what causes pregnancy...sheeeeesh.....here is a solution...PRACTICE BIRTH CONTROL.... how difficult is that concept?...Dont have kids until you can afford them...why do people expect others to support their kids?

The US should do the same thing. Since the radical lesbian mafia has brainwashed women in our country into thinking motherhood is foolish, and degrading ,especially white women with european roots, whites are going to be the minority soon. Good for Vladimer Putin.

Controlled pairs-

Is your post a joke? Like, on purpose?

Whoa, whoa whoa wait a minute... I didn't even see the headline here because I was too busy picking on Scarey... Don't think for a minute that we don't bribe people in this country into having babies. Man I'll tell you what, with three kids, my federal taxes are next to nothing, and now that they pushed the AMT back another year I"m keeping a good thing going.

How many bottles of Vodka could it take?!?

Tax breaks are great, child tax credit and the rest. Pay people to get married and have children as nature intended. Build strong families, communities, and maybe a country again. Good thing Drudge in not the majority view.

Turn off the power and lights in Moscow for a couple days and watch the boom happen.

Shivering makes babies.

"""Pay people to get married and have children as nature intended. Build strong families, communities, and maybe a country again."""

Yeah sure, paying people to have babies will create utopia. Have you considered who would have babies if you paid them???? Hell, I have neighbors who could pump them out real fast if the price is right. How many do you want????

"Pay people to get married and have children as nature intended."

If it's as nature intended you would make it neutral. And hey, I benefit big time (and I mean thousands and thousands) from the tax breaks we're talking about. But honestly... when I put together my tax return and looked at how small my actual rate was, it was clear the the man is paying me to have babies and mortgage my house.

How many? It would seem that the question depends on how many Democrat voters are needed in that Welfare district full of public housing and food stamp grocery stores (selling malt liquor 40s)

The formula would have to include how late a local judge will keep the polling place open, whether or not it's a Motor Voter state, and how many bums can be bussed around to assure a Dem victory (the Milwaukee variable).

Then of course there's the issue of 'leakage.' That would be the number of freshly manufacturered Dem voters who graduate high school, get a job and vote for conservatives.

So, paying people to have babies -- the modern Welfare state -- is not as simple as it seems. Arithmetic is hard, you know

"So, paying people to have babies -- the modern Welfare state -- is not as simple as it seems. Arithmetic is hard, you know"

So you're opposed to child tax credits and tax deductions, right?

"when I put together my tax return and looked at how small my actual rate was, it was clear the the man is paying me to have babies and mortgage my house."

It's called "social engineering" when done by liberals and "protecting the family" when done by conservatives.

Caucescau (sp) did the same thing. What resulted was a large number of babies in orphanages because their parents couldn't properly care for them - and those are the parents who recognized their limitations. I remember seeing a 20/20 episode where they focused on the former eastern bloc countries' problems with large numbers of orphans cared for by state sponsored agencies. This is a problem and a boon for westerners. With the average cost of adopting children in this country crossing the 10K level, adopting foreign children is a viable alternative (I recently had a couple friend of mine go to eastern Europe to adopt because they could afford it). Either way, some of these children go parentless which is a shaem because over 2 billion was spent in the U.S. for fertility treatments.

As a good friend and former priest of mine says, if you are called to be a parent, you are called to be a parent, not to see what you and your spouse can make.

Just a thought.

Speaking of taxes, here is a good question...

Why is it that when I claimed 1 dependent and my wife claimed none, I still owed over 700$ in federal taxes last year? We have one child and didn't own a home at the time, but with these great tax breaks, one would think that I would get money back...

Oh, and might I add that I had a vehicle worth 4250 stolen (restoration project) which is under the minimum required for itemization (why is there a minimum anyway) and could only claim about 2K of the 11K it cost to close on my home. If there are any tax lawyers in the peanut gallery, I would appreciate some advice so this doesn't happen again next year.

Why is it that when I claimed 1 dependent and my wife claimed none, I still owed over 700$ in federal taxes last year?

Heck, this is simple...your wealthy..dont you know that?..All the wealthy must be taxed...and since you owe...you are wealthy...just ask a liberal...since you owed taxes your wealthy...I hope the sarcasm is recognized

Cheka,
I guess I could buy that, if I wasn't one of those affected by the decrease in median income. Craziness. . .

Voter,

Actually you are not rich and that is why you pay taxes. The more middle of the road average you are the taxes you will pay.

The richer you are the more income you will keep.

Here is the standard chart and it is getting worse as we move in future years.

God Bless the Republican Party (with some common sense, please!)

From Controlled Pairs:

"The US should do the same thing. Since the radical lesbian mafia has brainwashed women in our country into thinking motherhood is foolish, and degrading ,especially white women with european roots, whites are going to be the minority soon. Good for Vladimer Putin." (emphasis mine)

I have to ask here, because I'm honestly not sure: do you find this somehow threatening?

As for Putin's decision, I fear I can't agree with it. Still too many humans on this miserable dirtball we call home. Give it another couple of generations and then we'll take a look at it.

We do the exact same thing with the federal income tax deduction for dependents. AND it is for sure immeasurably better than spending billions to kill babies.

Putin is bribing someone to do something?
Didn't Bush teach him anything? Putin is supposed to TAKE the bribes, not GIVE them. He'd be a total failure if he ran for the GOP>
Speaking of which:
And "federal prosecutors have begun an investigation into Rep. Jerry Lewis [R], the Californian who chairs the powerful House Appropriations Committee, government officials and others said, signaling the spread of a San Diego corruption probe," the Los Angeles Times reports. "The U.S. attorney's office in Los Angeles has issued subpoenas in an investigation into the relationship between Lewis... and a Washington lobbyist linked to disgraced former" Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, R-Calif.

Meanwhile, House Republicans gave Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, "a standing ovation after he told them [Wednesday] that he has no plans to resign and will vigorously fend off a likely federal indictment," The Hill reports. "During their weekly Wednesday-morning meeting, Ney informed his House GOP colleagues that he remains committed to fighting the federal investigation into whether he exchanged legislative favors for trips, gifts and meals."
