Iraq hanged 13 insurgents Thursday, the first time militants have been executed there since the U.S.-led invasion ousted Saddam Hussein nearly three years ago, the government said. In other violence, at least 16 more people were killed in blasts. [CBS News]

Free-dum is on the march!

What a way to go.

I'd prefer some CO poisoning myself.

Failing that, maybe some sort of sickeningly hi-larious freak accident involving a tricycle, birth control, and the surviving members of Alice in Chains.

Some of them survived?

grumble....
(goes back to cleaning rocket launcher)

What, the Iraqi "police" ran out of drill bits and bullets?

Ok, so what is it libs? Respect their culture or don't???

We have to respect and understand their hatred for us and attempts at killing our civilian populace but condemn them and their culture when they kill murderous, child slaughtering terrorists in their own country???

Someone explain the double standard to me.

Very true Rockscumsockscum. We certainly don't have hatred for them and haven't killed their civilian population because we have murderous child slaughtering terrorists in our country. We did it because Bushling said they had WMDs.

Actually Bushskank (cute name), the MEDIA said Bush said they had WMD's. Bush ACTUALLY stated several reasons for going into Iraq, ONE OF WHICH was WMD's.

If you'd like to argue the fact that they DID have WMD's, I have nothing to say to you. EVERYONE (Kerry, Clinton, Kennedy, etc) knew they had WMD's...that topic isn't even in question. In fact, he used them more than once on his own people. How can you use them if you don't have them. Hmmmmmm...

Then King asks her about the sanctions against Iraq. She replies:

But in terms of Saddam Hussein being there, let's remember that his country is divided, in effect. He does not control the northern part of his country. We are able to keep arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt.

Larry

f4sfed,
You might as well forget that line, no one wants to listen. The finding of 14 chemical weapons by Polish troops, 16 found buried in the sand by Danish troops and 2 strapped to IED's never existed in Iraq if you ask most of these guys. The precursor chemicals found in some of the raided ammo dumps don't mean anything either. I mean having the technology and the ingredients doesn't mean he had any intentions of making or retainging his WMD program, right boys.

They have only found 4 I repeat 4 2 with TRACE elements of cyclosarin 1 anthrax and 1 with sarin that is it. The General at the Time General Kimmit I believe was His name stated these were outdated shells that were forgotten about and were very rusty. They do not count Mohawk nice try yet again. Do so try again Please.

Larry

Someone explain the double standard to me.

Just do a Google search using the terms "bush" "quotes" "democracy" and then check out "Palestinian" and "election." If it's not clear after that, contact the WH direct at 202-456-1414 and ask to speak to "Mr. Bush."

hahahahahaha

even bush has given up on the whole WMD cause. Keep up the lying to yourself if that helps you sleep at night.

Meanwhile 10's of THOUSANDS of Iraqis are dead to make you safer.

Of course you are less safe but who cares, right?

We have to respect and understand their hatred for us and attempts at killing our civilian populace but condemn them and their culture when they kill murderous, child slaughtering terrorists in their own country???

Iraq did not attempt to kill our civilian populace.

I realize the truth hurts but it is true.

Larry,
First your numbers are wrong you can do a search and it will show what I am talking about. Yes the weapons were old. They were supposedly desposed of in front of UN inspectors, but these were found buried. It just shows that you can't admit they were there like many on this site. Bury your heads in the sand none of this ever happened. The whole time the negotiations were taking place convoy upon convoy left known sites and headed out of the country. It has been said history repeats itself. Where did Saddams aircraft go before the first gulf war to keep them safe?

Mohawk Nope My numbers are correct. it is YOU who has their numbers wrong do so ever try yet again.

Larry

Here is an article talking about finding chemical precursors. The problem is they had not been weaponized yet so just storing them for future chemical weapons production doesn't count especially if you want to believe that Iraq was incapable of this.

Here is a CIA brief, although dated it speaks to Iraqs capabilities that are still being down played or straight out lied about.

It's very possible, that once many of these so called insurgents/spit, find out that the Iraqis are no longer taking prisoners the complexion of things will change.

Libs hate it when the Iraqis stand up and start defending themselves. ;-)

10 days before the invasion (I've said this too many times already) Hans Blix told the UN that Iraq had not fulfilled the requirement to destroy all his weapons. In fact, they found weapons not originally reported by Iraq. He said Iraq was destroying them, realllllly sloooooowly. How many years of resolutions? Blix said, not in compliance with the UN.

The invasion was by a united front of 48 nations backing it. The refusal of the UN to take action is highlighted by the findings in Iraq after the invasion: the UN members against the invasion were illegally dealing with Iraq - motive not to invade.

WMDs was only one component of many reasons to invade.

Mohawk, these folks will only show disinterest and disdain to any source you may have that might possibly stand in the way of their get BUSH agenda.

Michael Moore is the man with all the facts. lmao

Did Mike Moore ever sell his Halliburton?

"WRONG. Your ears you keep and I'll tell you why. So that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out, "Dear God! What is that thing," will echo in your perfect ears. That is what to the pain means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever. "

I don't support Capital Punishment. This is better.

Gen Dukaczewski was commenting on last month's recovery by Polish troops of 17 warheads for a 1980s Soviet-era rocket system.

Tests indicated some warheads contain cyclosarin, more powerful than sarin, Polish officials say.

But the US military said that while two of the rockets tested positive for sarin, traces of the agent were so small and deteriorated as to be virtually harmless.

"These rounds were determined to have limited to no impact if used by insurgents against coalition forces," a statement by the military said.

Another 16 rockets found by the Polish troops were all empty and tested negative for any type of chemicals, it added, without explaining the discrepancy in numbers with the Polish version.

Do try yet again Mohawk You don't have anything and You know it so why do You insist on it. Do so ever try yet again Please. NEXXXXXXXXXXXXXT.

Larry

Sorry, context of the quote is incorrect. It should've said, Dear Allah! What is that thing...

Petrous,

What are you doing? None of what you say matters. Bush lied about WMD's, period. That is all you need to know.

Now, go to the board and write 50 times:

"I am a silly Conservative and I will never again defy the Left's version of events in regards to Iraq."

JeffJ You know damned good and well that Dubya Lied but yet You don't admit to it why is that JeffJ is it too hard for You I have shown You time and time again where He lied but Yet You don't have the balls to admit it. Why is this JeffJ Would it be so hard for You to do??

Larry

lmao BL2.... these people hate it when a plan comes together....

Remember, Bush and Rumsfeld have no plan.

Larry,

You and I have danced this dance far too many times.

It's time for me to allow Mohawk to cut in. A new dancing partner is needed.

My services are needed on the "Dallas is mean to the homeless" thread. Feel free to pay a visit, and I'll gladly tango over there.

In the meantime, keep up the good fight with Petrous and Mohawk.

Oh, and Larry,

Remember: Polish and Left-handed!

excuses only go so far JeffJ there comes a time where You have to admit those in which You support aren't who You wish them to be. To continue on with the Same tired rhetoric that has been proven wrong time and time again is just infantile and Immature. Time to admit that Your Buddy Dubya lied JeffJ it will do You alot of good to cleanse Your soul.

Larry

Laryy,
What is your SECURE EMAIL account? I'll send more info there. Oh don't have one. Thats why you can't believe the radar and satalite pictures showing convoys leaving in droves.
Yes the weapons were old didn't claim they weren't if you read my post. It did show their noncompliance. And that they retained these weapons along with the technology and means to produce more. So sorry you can't see the writting on the wall history will tell my friend.

SECURITY COUNCIL HOLDS IRAQ IN MATERIAL BREACH' OF DISARMAMENT OBLIGATIONS,
OFFERS FINAL CHANCE TO COMPLY, UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTING RESOLUTION 1441 (2002)

Ok, history lesson everyone. Let's all open our textbooks to Resolution 1441.

Let's see, what does it say. Weapons of Mass Destruction is listed how many times?

Anyone?

Bush lied? Give me a break. The entire Security Council agreed that Iraq had a problem with weapons of mass destruction.

Oh, BTW, that's the definition of the anacronym, WMD, for those who can't read.

I always have to look to see what info has been released to ensure I don't say something I shouldn't have. In the end you will find out you are wrong. Hope you can be big about it and apologize.

Has anyone ever looked at major troop rotations and a raise in violence? Doesn't it seem funny that the insurgency seems to surge back every time grren troops are there or is that just my take on the situation?

Just read this whole post and noticed something interesting. Anyone who's cool with the fact that Iraq was invaded has actual facts and figures from reputable sources. Anyone opposed just spouts rhetoric and talking points, "Bush lied", "no WMD's".
It very closely mirrors the respective political parties that you people follow. Those on the Right have ideas, and act on them, those on the Left have no ideas and just bitch about what the Right is doing.

Personally I find it amazing that those on the right continue to validate the rantings of the idiot left by answering them. No matter how many facts you have, they don't want to hear them. They don't want answers, they just want to make more problems.

Actually, Nether, I'd like us out of Iraq right now. If we don't make the whole country a police state and lock it down, I want out NOW.

I'm not Right or Left. I choose no party affiliation because both parties have problems with taking care of the US first and going to war half-heartedly.

No one has convinced me that Korea and Vietnam were fought to win. Iraq was fought to win, but not to secure. The religious aspect of Iraq required a lockdown. We've become passive in a warzone.

^5 to that Petrous. We haven't won a war since ww2. However, I will say this. Because we have fought in the past to attempt to accomplish the task at hand with the fewest possible casualites in hopes that these enemies would see the light is what has brought us to where we are today.

This thing is ramping up and the gloves are going to come off very soon. You can count on it.

Mohawk, Petrous, BL2-

Jeff's right, most of us longtime posters from the right learned to ignore the feeding frenzy whenever something like this comes on, because nothing infuriates the idiots more than facts.

Don't waste your time, it's too valuable.

IRAQ, you are a bourgeois misogynist because you don't like paying taxes!

Just a quick comment on WMD... Of course the U.S. had a good idea of what Saddam had, did we not support IRAQ in their efforts against IRAN? Surely we didn't just sit back and cheer them on, we helped out, did we not? But now we say shame on them and get him out of there? No doubt he killed a lot of people, but he kept such a fine balance of power from collapsing like it has since his removal... Drugs, tobacco, McDonald's food and beer kill people here in the U.S. but we have yet to get rid of them, why not? I mean just look at how McDonalds markets their chicken select food as such a healthy choice, then actually check out the unhealthy numbers that you are intaking because of creative lying. I mean Saddam lied to people to get them lined up and then proceeded to shot them in the back of head... any difference? I am not saying that I think brutal killing is acceptable, just pointing out the facts...

I've been in scenarios (wargames) where you help an ally (sic) to defeat their enemy. While the two fight, both weaken. When one falls, the one left standing gets the knife. Yeah, been there. Nothing like a good game of Risk.

Your play name fits you nicely Dizzy.

Welcome to la la land!

True, Jetsum -- they really ought to let those insurgents go. That is the way to run a nation on the verge of a civil uprising!

H

ps, Hey ICON!

What about the raghead clown in the picture , he set himself on fire as well as the U.S. flag , the stupid fuck .

2 well placed nukes would eliminate all the problems with those fools , same thing with iran , bottom line is , if they don't want to resolve their problems diplomatically and want to kill Christians , then nuke em , this is a no brainer , it's like having to deal with libs , they are so brain fucked they don't have any common sense .The only thing you can do to stop them when they are throwing their tamtrum is kick their ass .You can not reason with someone who thinks the world is all about them .
