Im criticizing this illegitimate Bush administration and their culture of corruption. That is not America.

And the Gitmo detainees are not terrorists. Or at least, they werent when they went in.

If they were so guilty, they could have been brought to trial and sentenced. Just like their illegal and unconstitutionally detained "terrorist", Jose Padilla. They accused him of some bullshit 'dirty bomb', hold him without trial for years, then when the court says they HAVE to bring him before a judge, they withdraw the charges against him and bring minor charges against him.

Yeah, must be a real dangerous guy if he is going to be prosecuted for misdemeanors.

So to answer your question: yes, terrorists exist now, just like they have for centuries.

Al Queso numbers approximately 3000 people in the entire world, if you go by non-Cheney estimates. That doesnt seem like something that takes over $2 Trillion to fight, and certainly isnt anything I feel compelled to surrender my rights as a US citizen over.

Justsomeguy's post, above, illustrates the divide between Right and Left. The Right sees the WOT as a war, with bullets and bombs and POW's. The Left sees it as a police matter, with prosecutions, rights to a speedy trial, etc.

RightisRight is right, again. In addition, the left sees Bush and the Republicans as the enemy, not Al Qaeda.

In calling the Bush administration illegitimate, it's obvious that JustSomeGuy is still hung up about the 2000 election. He's not ready to come to the realization that Gore lost. He's convinced that Gore should be the President, and that the counting of the votes should have continued until the results showed that Gore won the state of Florida, regardless of the fact that Gore only wanted the heavily Democratic counties to be recounted. This is considered fair play in JustSomeGuys world.

And how does JustSomeGuy know that the Gitmo detainees are not terrorists? JustSomeGuy probably thinks these people were just innocent bystanders that just happened to be caught on the battlefield.
