Homeland Security?

Moneywar -

Two local radio shockjocks here in Southern California (John and Ken Show - KFI 640 AM) did almost an hour on this subject today. They said this woman, who was White, did not like minorities - particlarly Asians. Everyone she took a shot at was a minority. I know from the newspaper that one woman was Black.

Get this -- when she went to the post office to do the shooting she had shaved her head! No one knew why, but that's what they reported. Neighbors said she would drive around in her car and talk to herself. She also wanted to start a couple of businesses of her own when she lived in New Mexico -- one a cat food business and the other a newsaper -- called "The Racist." Neither business got anywhere. Just thought I fill you in on the latest local news reports from here.

She is also suspected of killing her next door neighbor.

Racially motivated.....

So if one person who doesn't like minorities went on a shooting spree, using Paleocon's own logic against him does that mean we should revoke his second amendment rights? He's a serial killer!

psycho

This woman should have been institutionalized for her own safety and the safety of others. Thanks to Ronald Reagan and the Republicans, though, institutional help for the mentally ill was taken away and destroyed in the 1980's. Now most of these people are roaming homeless on the streets of America. Thanks, Republicans!!!

PLEASANTVILLE

She is also suspected of killing her next door neighbor.

It would found that she did indeed kill her next door neighbor. She jumped over the neighbor's back wall and went in thru an unlocked sliding glass door and shot the woman who was found later by her boyfriend but was dead when he got there.

Now most of these people are roaming homeless on the streets of America. Thanks, Republicans!!!

Pleaseeee, Clinton could have changed the law sooo it is realy the Democrats fault. Now CALIFCHRIS can you see how Stupid you logic is? I understand you are trying to appeal the Democrats base, the ignorant and the foolish.

MFIXX

What could Clinton have done? Remember Newt Gingrich? Control of Congress with that farce of a "Contract with America"? REPUBLICANS had control of the House since 1994 -- almost the entire time of Clinton's term in office.

When Republicans are in control average people suffer. Medical help, health insurance, employment -- just about anything that can be used to help the poor, the needy, the mentally il, the disadvantaged, the average guy working for a living -- in fact any program that doesn't profit the corporate boys, or trust fund babies like Bush who have personal billions to pay for their own help -- is worthy of destruction/privatization/
elimination in the mindset of the Republican party.

It was the REPUBLICANS who held the legislative sway in the 1990's, NOT Clinton. The REPUBLICANS of the 1990's kept Regean's elimination of mental institutions for the mentally ill which he did in the 1980's in place and would not let any mental institutions function again. REPUBLICANS - thru the 1980's with Reagan and in the 1990's and now from 2000 thru today under Bush -- REPUBLICANS ARE TO BLAME.

Can't blame President Clinton who did not have his own party controlling the House and the Senate during his term of office when mental institutions were kept eliminated. God forbid, why waste good tax money on helping those in need when you can give it back in tax breaks to the Republican uber rich, right?

You see thousands of people today homeless who could instead be in the mental institutions the need to keep themselves and the public safe from dangers but the Republicans destroyed those programs under Reagan and kept them destroyed as long as they had control of the House and the Senate.

Bring back mental institutions for those who truly need them -- oh, and make Bush the first patient.

From today's article in the Los Angeles Times:

"At the apartment, Blomfield knelt down, held Nita Graham's [ONE OF THE DEAD VICTIMS] hand and reminisced, sometimes collapsing into tears. He lamented the closure of so many mental hospitals under the "de-institutionalization" policy in the 1980s, [UNDER REAGAN] and he wondered whether pressures at the postal facility drove Sanmarco over the edge."

Sorry CALIFCHRIS,What could Clinton have done? Remember Newt Gingrich? Control of Congress with that farce of a "Contract with America"? REPUBLICANS had control of the House since 1994 -- almost the entire time of Clinton's term in office.

He had two years two do something and chose not to, so your argument I belive is defeated. Me thinks you are just putting on a partison spin, please CALIFCHRIS the Republicans do enough things for Democrats attack without trying to invent shit. To say it is a political party fault this lady goes and shoots up a post office is pritty ridiculous

Defination of ridiculous absurd: incongruous;inviting ridicule; "the absurd excuse that the dog ate his homework"; "that's a cockeyed idea"; "ask a nonsensical question and get a nonsensical answer"; "a contribution so small as to be laughable"; "it is ludicrous to call a cottage a mansion"; "a preposterous attempt to turn back the pages of history"; "her conceited assumption of universal interest in her rather dull children was ridiculous"

after two years of Democratic party control under Clinton's leadership, the mid-term elections in 1994 proved disastrous for the Democrats. They lost control of both houses of Congress for the first time in 40 years, in large part due to the failed attempt to create a comprehensive health care system.-Source is Winipedia

"Can't blame President Clinton ..."

Of course he can. They can always blame Clinton ... for anything.

The shootings happened just five miles north of where I live. Nobody would have imagined that this would happen. Just before it happened the Santa Barbara Police were proud of the fact that there had been no murders in the community for the last three years. My mom had been to that post office three days before the shooting. So sad this happened, it could happen anywhere. You just never know. God bless the unfortunate victims.

CALFCHRIS-God forbid, why waste good tax money on helping those in need when you can give it back in tax breaks to the Republican uber rich, right?

Window dressing and pandering, Who signed welfair reform? Take the Black commnuity the Democrats tell them what they are going to do for them at election time and that is ALL! They figure what are they going to do Vote Republican? Yea right and as soon as the election is over F**k em.

God Bless and Prayers for the victims and their families.

Nice deflection CC. Get a grip..!!

califchris
actually it goes back to kennedy admin which deemed if the mentally ill did not seem a harm to themselves or others they should not be institutionalised-also in some states if you want to commit some one you have to be examined yourself
-it's not just the availibilty of help it is all the red tape that goes into gettin it
