I wouldn't run around tar'ing christians with Pat Roberts name, but there is obviously a number of suppossed christians tar'ing themselves with Pat.

I think the majority of Pat's audience is the same as half of Rush's numbers: people who hate them and listen everyday to fuel their hate. Rush I am strictly guessing the 50% number, but 700 club I would say is now 85% people who hate Pat and tune in to see what he is going to say today. 20 years ago he had only old people watching him and they had to have died off by now so who is left? 1) "So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder" (Matthew 19:6 & Mark 10:9).

1) If adultery is considered an acceptable reason for divorce, do we mean only physical adultry or adultry committed only in the mind. As you know, Jesus spoke about how that if we lust in our mind for another, we are as guilty as if we had actually had relations with that other. Therefore, if our spouse is apparently lusting for another in his/her mind, is this, then, legitimate divorce grounds?

2) What about when one spouse leaves the other, for no "legitimate" reason? As marriage is a covenant - a contract - it is broken by this act. While the "leaver" is certainly in breach of the contract and is culpable to God for that sin, is the injured party still obligated to honor the covenant of marriage?

I thought the universe belonged to God.
