Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

About two dozen individuals, couples or corporations have given $1 million or more to Republican super PACs this year, empowered by the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision to pour money into this year's presidential campaign. Collectively, their contributions have totaled more than $50 million this cycle, making them easily the most influential and powerful political donors in politics today, the New York Times reports. A few of the megadonors even hid their identity by giving through limited liability companies. A $1 million donation to Restore Our Future came from F8 LLC, a company whose founder remains unknown.

Reminds me of the new country and western song, "Country for Sale!", by the Rwing Activist SC Justices.

They bought and paid for their teabaggers and they will select the candidate and their little slaves/parrots will vote as they are told.

Super PAC will make it easier for the candidates to know who owns them.

Obama promised transparency. Then why go after Assange and Manning? Why start another Superpac?

Obama promised to not interfere with State's Medical Marijuana programs. What is the cocksucker doing now?

Obama is sucking on the Wall Street teet. In return no one is being prosecuted for fraud. In fact we have just been witness to another bailout in the foreclosure fraud settlement. Apparently $16.1 trillion in taxpayer money isn't enough tfor the Banks. Billion dollar fines countered by trillion dollar profits and subsidies, all saddled on powerless taxpayers.

Obama Greed: Now Supports Super PAC's

WASHINGTON, Feb 21 (Reuters) - In early January, President Barack Obama's campaign manager Jim Messina called David Axelrod, the president's top strategist, into his Chicago office and started writing on a white board.

On one side of the board, Messina sketched out the amounts of money he expected Republican "Super PACs" and other groups to raise and spend to try to defeat the Democratic president in the Nov. 6 election.

Drawing a line under that cumulative number -- roughly $700 million -- Messina then highlighted the amount raised by the Republican groups' Democratic counterparts. It was a measly figure.

"We've got to talk about this. This is a problem," Messina told Axelrod, according to a campaign official.

Roughly a month later, on Feb. 6, the Obama campaign announced it would start supporting Priorities USA Action, the struggling Super PAC formed to help Obama. The move reversed a position rooted in Obama's distaste for the Supreme Court decision that allowed such independent groups to raise and spend unlimited amounts of money to try to influence elections.

Don't feel sorry for Obumber. He has almost $100m to spend on his 2012 re-election...so far.

Don't feel sorry for Obama.

He still gets about half his money from small donations of $250 or more.

While Mitt is 6-1 money from the wealthy vs small donations.

If it weren't for multi-millionaires, the GOP would have no money at all.

Mitt is the towel boy down at the Junior Billionaires Club.

The money they've given him so far is just tip money. When the big boys start opening their wallets for real, there'll be no doubt that the money men want their little Willard for the candidate.

If he does a good job for them, they'll let him play golf once a month and might even let him eat in the members dining room occasionally.

Hey, Teabaggers, you wanted no limits on your corporate overlords, so this is what you get. Be proud of the monster you've helped create.

If it weren't for multi-millionaires, the GOP would have no money at all.

Last I heard, millionares are the 1% which isn't enough to win an election.

It still comes down to voters. And they're pissed.

While campaigning on the taxpayer's dime Obama has more money stashed than all the other candidates combined.

-Last I heard, millionares are the 1% which isn't enough to be elected dogcatcher.

It still comes down to poor proxy GOP voters. And they're brainwashed.

ft

^ that's why the 1% work so hard to win over the racists and homophobes.

Not pissed enough not to vote for whatever klown the 1% tells them to.

Credit where credit is due. The Republicans have spent decades manipulating the sheeple with fear and culture war hate mongering to get to the point where they have been able to stack SCOTUS to the point where they have actually been able to legally put the U.S. political system up for sale. As Montana has shown, we're talking about federal and state governments.
And the neat thing about Citizens United is the purchasing is done in secret. Buy the government and pay for it out of your new tax cuts.

Well done, my lords and ladies of the new aristocracy, the 1% Club. Your faithful Republican vassals await your orders.

And the point is what? Comparing it to George Soros and Michael Moore and the few others who support the Prophet Obama at 1 Billion total dollars? Talk about buying a presidency and none of you people have ever questioned where a former no-name community organizer could have come up with 700 million to win before and 1 billion to try again.
