Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

"White House press secretary Jay Carney first says Republicans "forced" President Obama to deny the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. Later in his press briefing, Carney says Obama didn't turn down the pipeline.

"In terms of Keystone, as you all know, the history here is pretty clear. And the fact is because Republicans decided to play political with Keystone, their action essentially forced the administration to deny the permit process because they insisted on a time frame in which it was impossible to completely approve the pipeline," Carney said when asked about the pipeline by ABC News' Jake Tapper.

Later in the briefing, Carney says it is the Republicans' fault."

Carney: Obama Didn't Turn Down The Keystone Pipeline

But he should. It's making all the right people squeal like pigs.

Well, that is the thing, he did turn it down. Carney is just taking his try at verbal gymnastics... and losing.

It's making all the right people squeal like pigs.

So your Wife was for it?

Doesn't matter. Soon we'll have a new president, and this embarrassment will be sent home.

Almost as good as the money bundler Kaiser visited the WH a dozen times to talk about his foundation with Goolsby, Rouse and a handful of energy and commerce folks in charge of loan grants...

Took the administration quite a few months to think up this 'logic' did it not?

No. They didn't think it up... it just kind of developed through non-thinking. Thus why it is so laughable.

Carney is the ring leader of Obama Truth Circus.

this is all BULLSHIT setup...to start it back after election IF he wins again....

but not to worry libfux...OBAMAS 2,000 or so PRESs secretaries from reuters to msnbc will defend and protect his royal black asshighness...

it was the one armed man...

He didn't have time to make a decision due to Repub political foot-tapping. The funny part of the whole thing is that Repubs sunk it just to make Obama look bad. I'm not sure it changed a single mind in the country.

Of course the republicans did not sink it. Obama turned it down.

LOL.....Ass2Mouth somehow thinks that 'community organizer' is an insult.

It wasn't a problem for him before and it wont be again.

BTW, if you still want to play "Who is the most qualified to be President" this time around, there is only one answer. Barack Obama is the MOST qualified to be President. The other turds you're hoping for have never even done the job. Obama has. Let's play that game this time.

reuters to msnbc will defend and protect his royal black asshighness...

"Barack Obama is the MOST qualified to be President."

Failing miserably is not usually considered a desired qualification.

You guys do know I hope, Obama is laughing at you every single day.

I gather, then, that you voted for Bush in '04?

Your logic is retarded.

The Keystone pipeline was proposed 2008. Barry had plenty of time. This is more Barry bull shit. Danni can enjoy her $6.00 gas and the lack of tourism that high gas prices will cause.

The gas price is going to be based 100% on what happens with Iran. If things keep as they are, or G-d forbid increase, so will the price of gas. If we can work out talks, then gas will go down.

"Danni can enjoy her $6.00 gas and the lack of tourism that high gas prices will cause."

Riiight. Demand in the US is so low that our largest export is refined petroleum products. Only the dumbest of teh sheep think the Keystone Pipeline would lower gas prices.

"The gas price is going to be based 100% on what happens with Iran."

Baloney. The gas prices will be based on how greedy the oil companies get and how badly they want to prevent Obama from being reelected.

Baloney.

Far from it. Read and learn.

Prices are much higher on the East and West coasts, where imported fuel is tied to Brent crude, the European benchmark directly affected by Iran and other Middle Eastern suppliers.

International sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program have led to threats that Iran would stop oil shipments to Europe and developing nations. Those threats have contributed to steady increases at the pump this year. The move by Iran on Sunday to cut off its supply to Britain and France may have been priced in, some analysts said.

"When people talk about $5 (per) gallon, that's kind of worst-case scenario," said Mike Lynch, president of Strategic Energy & Economic Research, a consulting firm. "If we don't see (more) cutoffs in Iranian oil supplies, or attacks on oil shipping, we're probably close to a peak now."

I'll make this real simple for you.

Domestic drilling and Keystone XL pipeline will remove US exposure to instability in the middle east. This will effect futures and speculation. Higher supply of fuel will lower prices by simple supply and demand.

The gas prices will be based on how greedy the oil companies get and how badly they want to prevent Obama from being reelected.

What's stopping them from jacking it up to $5 a gallon? $6 a gallon? $100 a gallon?

Like they give a shit who the puppet in chief is, they own congress.

You accuse the Repubs of forcing an unreasonable timeline on Obama, but I'll bet you didn't have a problem with Congress voting a healthcare bill nobody had time to read.

Unless they decide to turn it into diesel because the market is growing faster for diesel worldwide than it is for gas.

Does Carney post as Corky on the drudge retort? It's hard for me to believe that there are two people this stupid in America.

#26 | Posted by SHEEPLESHEPERD

Problem is only so much of a barrel of crude oil can be turned into diesel and we use most of that for heating, highway trucking and diesel's second cousin aviation fuel. Europe had sweet crude, natural gas and compact travel.

"You guys do know I hope, Obama is laughing at you every single day.

#16 | Posted by danni at 2012-02-22 01:44 PM"

Actually he is laughing at all the complete idiots who bought into his crap. I'm sure he is constantly joking to his cronies that even he is not dumb enough to believe what he is saying.

When making a decision there are more than two options:

Obviously:

1) Yes
2) No

But Returds forget a third:

3) Wait for more information

But Santorum would say that the Devil makes us like information. Only the "smart" people care to consider the consequences of their actions. Only "smart" people would consider that they may not have all of the knowledge necessary to make the decision. This, Santorum says, is Satan at work. The ultraconservatives in the GOP obviously agree and have decided that they will fight Satan with their weapon of ignorance. Unreasonable deadlines are one way to ensure that Satan/information doesn't cloud a righteous decision in favor of running corrosive tar sand through a leaky pipeline directly through America's priceless nature preserves, spilling His gift of crude as a blessing to the wild-life.

(sorry this topic is beyond stupidity...)

Santorum would say that the Devil makes us like information

Demanding facts instead of relying on faith in indeed quite Satanic.

That strange thing is, the offer in which Obama turned down the Keystone Pipeline talked about waiting for more information regarding the disputed section of pipeline, but starting the other sections in the meantime.

So again... Obama turned down the pipeline and now tries to say he didn't.

#32 - who builds a pipeline with a hole in it? Fuck. Can you come up with a stupider idea?

Doesn't matter. Soon we'll have a new president, and this embarrassment will be sent home.

#5 | Posted by rightisright

Well, I'll concede the possibility the GOP may give us a new, incompetent, widely-disrespected president.

One likely to start a war with Iran and who will argue, with a straight face, the $5.00 per gallon for gas was fatal under Obama but $7.00 per gallon under him is in the antional interest.

So again... Obama turned down the pipeline and now tries to say he didn't.

#32 | Posted by ExpsRedemption at 2012

The GOP put Obama in to lose-lose paradigm with this pipeline ansd that's merely what the facts say.

Me? I'm tickled to death that he's now fucking with them on reducing corporate taxes. The GOP is going to vote that down sure as hell, and then be forced to explain why it's good policy when they want it but poor policy when someone else does.

#30 | Posted by BruceBanner

u r correct about more options, but it's tough to explain how things work to someone who has no experience with reality ..

real world decision tree - -
a) yes .. close the deal now ..

b) no .. delay the deal ..
.......... close the deal later
OR ..
.......... LOOSE the deal entirely

#36 - someone is trying to get his money's worth out of his online MBA...

#33 | Posted by BruceBanner at 2012-02-22 06:23 PM | Reply | Flag:

Well Bruce, it is probably evident to you (never mind, I take that back) that the pipeline will take a good amount of time to build. This way, they can start making a decision on how to best avoid the "danger" that they see now and at the same time begin the building of the sections that would not change given that decision.

It is like all those bills the democrats put through where they say "let's get it approved... and then we will make it right"...

You don't seem to have a problem with those things when Obama does it. Why now?

I once watched a video forward of a monkey peeing into his own mouth. Just because you can do something, doesn't make it a good idea. Starting two ends of a pipeline and praying that you'll find a way to build the middle sounds about as good an idea as the monkey had.

Who said they were starting at both ends and meeting in or near the location in question?

You start from the unquestioned portion at one end or another and begin work until the government decides the best way to avoid the issue.

That was what the government was talking about, finding the best way to avoid the issue as much as possible, not necessarily finding a way to avoid the issue 100%.

Plus, you pee in your mouth daily here. You seem to think it is a good idea.

Carney should quit his job and go sell snake oil.

Oh--that's right--he already is...

www.chron.com

The illogic coming from this administation on this issue is astounding. Their willingness to blatantly lie has become the norm and of course the MSM just echoes their shit.

It was the Canadian oil company that 'forced the issue' and the research regarding this project on our end was extensive.

Obama blocked this to appease his enviro-whacko base and because it's proven unpopular, he now tries to shift blame (which is his M.O.)
