By a better than 2-to-1 margin, Republicans say they oppose a brokered convention that would pick a new candidate at the last minute, according to a poll out Monday.
Although over half of Republicans, or 55 percent, say they wish someone else was in the running for the nomination, 66 percent want one of the four candidates to secure enough delegates to avoid a brokered convention, the USA Today/Gallup Poll found. Just 29 percent of the Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say a brokered convention with a brand new candidate would be a better option.

Heh heh.

Man you libs sure do hate democracy in open action. I'm sure you prefer the smoke filled room of the democratic caucus.

#2, You really believe that you have a chance of getting a candidate that will represent you. That is cute. Do you believe in the Easter Bunny too?

Funny thing is that 29% of the GOP don't want anyone from the current clown car and want another option. Take Paul and Sanitarium out of the equation and my guess is that number swells.

Speaks volumes about the chances of Rmoney (who will be the candidate) against Obama.

Poor GOPiggies, just keep lifting them out of a box that looks exactly like a clown ca,r taking a bite, grimacing, and putting them back in the box.

Problem is, that big, vacuous piece that all the weight and gravitas of piece of six-week-old cotton candy? The one they call "The Willard"? Ha ho, kiddies, that's the one you're gonna get stuck with.

Bon appetit!

*****34% of GOP Unhappy with Current Cadidates******

.
.......it's not all bad......after all, 100 % of Democrats are happy with the current slate of Republican candidates........

I think it's safe to say that this 34 percent of citizens that identify themselves as Republicans are fed up to their eyeballs with the status quo direction of the Republican Party. What we are seeing is the slow and necessary death of a party that has lost touch with it's base. Dare we say, a Tea Party minded base?

Folks on the outside looking in said the Tea Party was nothing more than a reaction to 0bama. I think we can safely say that it is in fact a reaction to 0bama and the status quo Republican Party at large.

The big money needs the status quo. The status quo is making them rich. 0bama is a bought and contributions paid for status quo dream come true however, as a matter of insurance, the string pullers will thrust their alternative bought and contributions paid for Repub status quo candidate into the nomination. The change candidates are belittled and diminished by the vested status quo string pullers. The problem for the Republican Party is, more and more thinking Americans are no longer interested in the status quo.

The 2012 election might be a real eye opener to the Republican establishment. If Republican turnout is low, it can be concluded that their once loyal base rejected their status quo establishment candidate and concluded that since it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. I've said it before: There is no man more deserving of being at the helm of our nation as it collapses than Barack Husein 0bama...and it is collapsing. Math doesn't lie.

The problem for the Republican Party is, more and more thinking Americans are no longer interested in the status quo.

I agree with everything you said, librarian. However, it's irrelevant.

All partisan people are extremely dense when it comes to seeing their own faults. Everyone knows that. They are even worse at seeing the big picture.

Let me give you an example of why it is not relevant what americans think. The bailouts.

When the first corporate bailouts happened, the smart fuckers behind the scenes warned Bush that there was a distinct 'moral hazard'. The bankers and the car companies said, 'to hell with that, we are about to crash'. 80-90% of americans (i.e. dems, indys and repubs) was against every single corporate bailout and said, 'let them crash, that is the sad nature of free enterprise'. Every proposed bailout by Bush and by Obama passed congress with unanimous approval.

I have waited all my life for clear, concise and hard evidence (the kind that would hold up in civil court) that the political game is a puppet show for the adult children of america. So now we have it and there is no accounting. They just keep saying, 'pay no attention to that man behind the curtain'.

im truthfully a little surprised its that little....

Well you still have Paul, Noot and Sanitarium in the running. Once Rmoney is given the nomination that number will rise.

Once romney wins the nomination obama will no longer have to try, he will be the next president.

Is he even trying now?

You could get Caribou Barbie out of a brokered convention!

Please, don't confuse this Citizen's United abomination with "democracy".

And 77% of Americans unhappy with ALL presidential candidates. What does that tell you?
