Well of course they have! Journalism in this country is joke in this country, now. HUGE SURPRISE!

Their coverage of the Middle East, which seems to be all our Government cares about, is better than ours. They live there, they understand things like cultural differences between the multitude of tribes. But their coverage of the rest of the planet is meager.

But isn't the most important story the utter neglect of solutions to domestic problems. Unemployment, prosecuting Wall Street, the price of gasoline and food?

While this is most likely true, Al Jazeera employs many non-Arab reporters that are very effective at getting the "in-story". I've seen a couple of Americans with Al Jazeera as well, but most notably there are quite a few Europeans that work within the ranks. But I think a lot of it has more to do with the culture of Al Jazeera that sets it apart from other news outlets. Al Jazeera is most definitely not apart of the "Westernized Media" therefor much more respected and trusted by the likes of Al Queda - which then in turn gives them closer access to the stories.

That would explain their Mideast coverage, but why do they have far better coverage on events in South America, Africa, Asia, and even areas like Indonesia? CNN is only network we have that can compete with their resources for covering events around the world, but the they've changed gears a bit here in US to compete with the other networks.
