Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

America's youth vote, which turned out in record numbers in 2008 and gave a historically high percentage of their support to President Obama, has soured on him because they are having a hard time finding work and, as a result, are putting off major decisions like getting married and starting a family

Obama, who won 66 percent of the 24 million voters age 18-29 in 2008, has seen that support slashed. And in a new poll from Generation Opportunity, a nonprofit that seeks to engage younger voters, only 31 percent approve of Obama's handling of youth unemployment, a number that threatens to rob him of the voter group that pushed him to victory.

"Ironically for President Obama," said the group's president, Paul Conway, "the hardcore reality is that young voters are now very dissatisfied with the direction of the country and are becoming more vocal in their demands for real jobs rather than promises of more unpaid internships and unproven programs."

"only 31 percent approve of Obama's handling of youth unemployment, a number that threatens to rob him of the voter group that pushed him to victory."

It seems the chickens are coming home to roost!

See you Obama wouldn't want to be you.

It time we give Obama the early retirement he so desperately needs.

Youth won't go out for Obama?

Even if they stay home, Obama pulls it out against RMoney. At least in CA, cannabis legalization efforts will pull most of the youth out of their homes to vote. Cannabis would have been legalized in CA in 2008, but wasn't on the ballot. The youth vote would have legalized it.

On topic, you're insinuating that low employment numbers amongst the youth will keep them at home? Maybe. I'm insinuating that Obama won't need the youth vote.

What truly is sad is that the youth rely on the President for employment.

So because you're unemployed, you're not going to vote? Or you're going to vote for the other guy?

If this has any weight, we are in serious trouble as a nation. No one on the left or the right has an answer for that - except for Herman Cain: "If you're poor, it's your own fault." And even that is completely off base.

It's the economy stupid and the President doesn't control the economy. Bush obviously proved that and Obama is solidifying it.

Cannabis would have been legalized in CA in 2008, but wasn't on the ballot. The youth vote would have legalized it.

And Obama would have fed law over rule it.

bastard.

The poor loser Rturd think this is good new for them? Not a chance in hell any young person that isn't wearing a white shirt and skinny necktie and out knocking on doors selling LDS bullshit will ever vote for one of their assholes.

They might stay home but just try to find 12 Regan voters that are likely sober up long enough to go to the polls for Frothy or Mr. Underwear.

It's worse that that

Obama Loses 'Obama Girl'

YouTube sensation Amber Lee Ettinger, aka Obama Girl, is back with a new video. But instead of reaffirming her puppy-love crush on the president, Ettinger is singing a different tune.

"You better step up, cuz I need that man, if my old crush on you was true," sings Ettinger in a new video uploaded Tuesday by PoliPop, YouTube's new entertainment and politics channel.

When your minders feed you a line like that?
When you and your little buddies snort-laugh at it?
It doesn't work.

Stupid youth. Better vote for Ron Paul. If you don't, I'm sure your of drafting age. The war mongers are the rest of the field, R & D.

"I'm sure your of drafting age."

I am the first one to hate the grammar and spelling police but I firmly believe there should be a death penalty for improper pronoun usage. Especially the imbeciles that can't use I and ME correctly.

Bottom line: if you are young and vote for the warmonger, you are a fool.

hmmm, that sounds eerily familiar .. I'll fix it 4 ya

I'm insinuating that CARTER wouldn't need the youth vote

The issue is that Obummer has lost the enthusiastic support of just about every group. That's not to mean that he won't eke out a victory----it's just that he'll eke out a victory without the enthusiasm of the past election. Reality has set in and the cult era is over. And the groups supporting this guy deserve and will deserve the ultimate outcome in the future over his flawed policies and lack of true leadership. The can has been kicked down the road again and the crises will only keep on coming for years. The young generation in all likelihood will never again be conned by the smooth talking glib con man---hopefully the last 4 years have matured them.
