Doesn't matter. Country music radio has pretty much forgotten about what Natalie Maines said and they're playing their music again. Despite every harsh criticism of the Dixie Chicks, they've remained successful and are set to release new material.

Personally, Maines didn't say anything unpatriotic or offensive. Criticism of ones political representation is, as the tea party has told us hundreds of times, the greatest form of patriotism.

Dude, it's obvious that Mustaine is politically ignorant, that's why what comes from his lickin'-hole is based on little to no actual information, research or even a moderate interest in politics whatsoever. All Dave knows is that the debates were pre-empting re-runs of Family Jewels, m-kay?

Why do people continue to assume that celebrities of whatever kind are ignorant or morons just because they're celebrities. I just see the tirades and shake my head. I've never heard anyone back it up with even an "I saw this interview and...," never mind a link to an actual stupid statement. Yes, some celebrities have a track record of stupid, but some have the opposite and still get pissed on, usually by conservatives or those espousing conservative or Republican ideological viewpoints. Some of you should step back and think before you piss on celebrities for expressing political viewpoints. It's America--we're all entitled to our opinions. Now if you want to piss and moan that idiot citizens blindly follow celebrities' viewpoints, you might have something, but you should prove that, too. Or at least offer some kind of evidence. I have never met someone who says, "Hey, Sean Penn hates Bush, so I'll vote against that guy." You might also engage in equal-opportunity celebrity bashing. Here are two targets: Ted Nugent, Victoria Jackson. Oh, three: Chuck Norris.

I totally agree with Dave on this one. Ron Paul is hands down the best in the running when it comes to domestic policy. He is out of his element when it comes to foreign policy. The first shock I ever got listening to him was when, on XM POTUS in 2007, he made the claim that "Iran doesn't even have an Army." Any way you cut it, that's a ridiculous statement. Furthermore, he has claimed on many occasions that he understands the animosity that the Islamists hold towards the west, us always interfering in their affairs. There are two problems with that logic: the first is that their affairs usually revolve around re-estblishing an Islamic Caliphate that would ultimately cover the entire planet. In the short term, it means creating Taliban-esque regimes in all the former caliphate countries, including Spain and the Philippine Islands. Perhaps the west was wrong to meddle in the affairs of the Nazis and communists as well. Furthermore, using that same logic, wouldn't Christians, Jews, and Buddhists all be justified in carrying out holy war to reclaim the areas that were stolen by this uppity Islamic religion?

I like Ron Paul a lot, and maybe he just needs to find a better way to frame his arguments, but he has said a lot of stupid, stupid stuff. He's still better than any of the others that are running.

Finally, Mustaine was asked about his political views. Quite different from the complete retards in Rage against the Machine or Green Day making them an integral part of their music. GD sucks balls and always has. I have more respect for the Backstreet Boys. Rage at least has good music, even if they do lack anything resembling intellect.

Uh, I'm pretty sure I'm still right.
