An editorial by the conservative National Review published Monday praised Rick Santorum and called for Newt Gingrich to drop out of the presidential race: "[I]t would be a grave mistake for the party to make someone with such poor judgment and persistent unpopularity its presidential nominee. ... When he led Santorum in the polls, he urged the Pennsylvanian to leave the race. On his own arguments the proper course for him now is to endorse Santorum and exit."

NOOT should step aside All that chasing his Dick around has finally caught up with him,,,

Screw the National Review on this. I'm not saying that as a supporter of Newt (I support Rick Santorum) the National Review has been the mouth piece of the old guard Republican party for too long. I dropped my subscription over a year ago.

That's what true republicans are.

Why don't all you teabaggers and neo-cons and talibaptists just form a new party and let the republicans have the old stuffy GOP? If you toned down the crazy a little bit, you might even get some independents.

LOL
Do you know what a neo-con is? They probably wouldn't be forming a party with the other stereotypes.

You should probably be more worried for the Donkeys. Theirs is a loose cobbling together of single issue special interest groups. And when an issue like the Keystone Pipeline comes up, there is no pleasing everybody.

I don't want Newt to simply quit the race - I want him to quit being all the things that add up to Newt Gingrich.

That's mighty big of them!

Cute! In 2012 there's NO Republican who pleases all Republicans. herm

don't tell that to the Republicans. Those three groups comprise their base.

And they are really base.

You know my opinion of Obama so I'll agree with you about the baseness of neocons, so why don't you Donkeys just take them back?

Huggie - great historical, and slightly hysterical article from a year ago. I especially like the "impeachable act" idea. How's that working out?

So Michael Savage will have to pay him $1 million? Cool!

Gingrich will hang on until after the southern states vote and then drop out and support Sanitarium in return for the VP slot.
