"The real irony of Gabrielle Gifford's (D-Ariz.) getting shot is that the rules that govern what the police can or can't do to a person like the guy that shot her and others BEFORE he does something like this are the whole property of her Libtart friends and their idea that a nut like this guy has the same rights as ....well Ms. Gifford's and all the people he murdered."
~Man's a Kook
Here is the perfect intersection of partisanship and idiocy: this moron actually takes a rightwing tenet -- the right to own guns, no matter how whacky you are -- and blames the left for it. Then this small government conservative suggests the fix for that problem is a more oppressive government.

Another half story from the far Left in Danforth land.
First,
Jared Loughner was a Libtart, as described by all who knew him and his past political affiliations.
2nd,
There is this little bit of reality.
"Despite evidence that Arizona shooting suspect Jared Loughner is mentally unstable, he was never declared mentally unfit by a court, so his name did not appear in the federal background-check database used by gun sellers".
The federal Gun Control Act of 1968 prohibits the possession of firearms by the mentally ill. So why was Mr. Loughner able to guy a gun?
The ability to own a firearm is a constitutionally protected right, and depriving someone of that right involves a legal process. Under the 1968 law, a person must be declared mentally unfit by a court or have been committed to a mental institution to lose his or her right to possess firearms.
So as I said before, this politician got just what she and her Libtart friends thought was just fine for the every day American to have to deal with from a person that should have been in a cell under medication not walking around where he could get a gun because some Libtart thought his rights were or could be violated.
Remember Violent homicidal maniacs have the same rights rights as you, ask any Lib they'll tell you so.
And just for the record the Right professes that all gun laws be strictly adhered to and that anybody violating them should go to jail for the longest possible time the law allows.
So I would say that the Cognitive Dissonance of the Week Award goes to you there Danforth a Bull S--ter extraordinaire.
