Negligent owners of animals are a major problem and in my opinion attacks should be followed up on with litigation whenever there is a clear case of negligence. A perfect example, we have all been reading about poor Shaianna Gilkerson, a 2 year old strangled to death by a python in her own mothers home. A place where she should be safe from all danger. The department of children and families had been aware of the living situation and took no ACTION! How does that make you feel? How protected are our children? Her father had to find out about his daughters death via the INTERNET, he was never informed! He has taken legal action against the department of children and families, can you blame him?
