Medical insurance premiums in the United States are on the rise, the chief architect of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul has told The Daily Caller.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology economist Jonathan Gruber, who also devised former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's statewide health care reforms, is backtracking on an analysis he provided the White House in support of the 2010 Affordable Care Act, informing officials in three states that the price of insurance premiums will dramatically increase under the reforms.

Every one here pretty much knew this was going to happen under obamacare so what else is new?

So produce the email and let us see everything he said in it instead of just editing a couple of sentences. Something smells about this.

Health care premiums have been rising at 10% per year and more for well over a decade now. Before Obamacare, before HillaryCare, and before Newt Gingrich embraced the concept of Personal Responsibility, only to later reject it because the Democrats support it.

So, are premiums rising more than 10% a year with Obamacare, or what?

this is going to be like high speed rail in California. sold Californians on $10 Billion bods to fund the first stage. told us the project cost would be 35.7 Billion, with the feds kicking in some. now, costs are expected to reach $170 Billion. Not one shovel of fucking dirt turned.

In Florida, this year, health insurance companies are going to have to refund $145 million to individual policy holders under the 80/20 law. It is very doubtful that insurance companies adhering to that laws requuirements will be able to raise premiums, if they do they will have to prove that they are spending an equivalent mount more on healthcare services.

Email is considered to be factual.

Who really thinks premiums will not rise?

"Email is considered to be factual."

then produce it so we can read it.

"Who really thinks premiums will not rise?"

Premiums were rising every single year, the whole point of Obamacare is to reduce the amount premiums rise back closer to the overall rate of inflation. I hope I'm not talking over our head.

A new analysis by a leading MIT economist provides new ammunition for Democrats as the Senate begins formally debating the historic health-reform bill being pushed by President Barack Obama.

The “microsimulation” analysis is by Jonathan Gruber, an economist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Treasury Department official under President Bill Clinton. Gruber used data from the Congressional Budget Office.--

Gruber concludes that people purchasing individual insurance would save an annual $200 (singles) to $500 (families) in 2009 dollars. And people with low incomes would receive premium tax credits that would reduce the price that they pay for health insurance by as much as $2,500 to $7,500.
-----------------------

So he says in 2010 that premiums will decrease, now he is saying they will increase. Sounds like this shit does not know dick.

No No, according to the ruler our $$ wont be affected because the insurance companies will be paying more, thats all.

He said it, I believe it.

Tell me why my co-pay on medication took such a big jump?

"During his presentation to Wisconsin officials in August 2011, Gruber revealed that while about 57 percent of those who get their insurance through the individual market will benefit in one way or another from the law’s subsides, an even larger majority of the individual market will end up paying drastically more overall.
“After the application of tax subsidies, 59 percent of the individual market will experience an average premium increase of 31 percent,” Gruber reported."

Here you go Danni. I know it's not the email but it is the same information. Pay attention to page 8 and especially the fine print at the bottom which credits Gruber: www.statereforum.org

so you boys like the old system?

Tell me why my co-pay on medication took such a big jump?

Because you can afford to pay it.
Our system is a for-profit system.
Profits have to come from somewhere.

Medical insurance premiums in Mass have been the highest long before Obamacare, also wait times in Mass are the longest.

Obamacare is tens of thousands of pages of new laws and regulations that will only add to the cost of healthcare.

Also medical experts are saying that once Obamacare kicks in that longevity will flatten for the 1st time in American history because Obamacare goes after profits that are used for research and development.

Where would we be without Liberals? Well just look at Texas for your example.

So, are premiums rising more than 10% a year with Obamacare, or what?

I get it. So 10 percent a year has been and still is doable for you. Dolts like you are disgusting.

Some of us don't give a shit whose name was on bad policy we just want it gone.

But children like you will always be children.

So, are premiums rising more than 10% a year with Obamacare, or what?

I get it. So 10 percent a year has been and still is doable for you.

Well considering most people still have health care, it's still doable for employers. And it also explains a tiny bit of wages are so low.

But you've identified one part of the problem; health care costs are shielded from most Americans because somebody else ends up paying for it. A lot of people don't think beyond the few dollars that's deducted from each paycheck, their employer is paying the lion's share.

And they can't seem to understand that's money that could conceivably be going into their pocket, but for the fact that our health care system is designed to deliver profits, not health.

Obama campaigned on a non-existent health plan that would reduce premiums for an average family of four by $2,200.

The DR Left's ability to aplogize away all the broken promises would be comic were it not so tragic.

www.youtube.com

My bad. He was going to save $2,500 per, not $2,200.

He made that promise over and over and over.

Of course, Obama was also going to cut the annual deficit rate he inherited in half. That one wasn't even a campaign promise.

youtu.be

He's either a liar or a clown, or a lying clown.

Obama campaigned on a non-existent health plan that would reduce premiums for an average family of four by $2,200.

My savings on COBRA thanks to the ARRA were pretty close to that.

My Healthcare premiums took a big jump in the middle of last year. Isn't that by design though? He just wants to kill off the private healthcare market and force everyone into a single payer system.

Don't forget the good doctor Howard Dean made it pretty clear that it is probable the health care legislation will cost $1 Trillion more than first expected as more companies are probably going to get rid of employee healthcare than first expected.

Dean: Employers will drop coverage under Obamacare

I hope that's true. It's the only way healthcare will ever be fixed.

Every one here pretty much knew this was going to happen under obamacare so what else is new?

So without "Obamacare," do you believe that health care premiums would decrease?

Are there other increases in costs you want to directly attribute to Obama, such as the current steep rise in beef prices?

Anyone who thought for a moment that the Congress was actually going to make healthcare cheaper or better is a moron.

Fixed that for ya.

1/6th of our GDP is spent on health care. That's about two trillion dollars, and it buys a lot of Congressmen, on both sides of the aisle.

But go ahead and explain why getting the money out of politics is a bad thing. You right-wingers sure do love an auction.

Nobody could have seen that coming. Well, no liberals anyway. Their petulant leader promises lower premiums, and so lower premiums are coming.

Another Obamulus miracle!

Well Bl2 I'm not the elderly disgraced ex school teacher with one foot in the grave. I hope you develop Alzheimer's.

gentlemen and ladies...if you had any doubt as to the low class and lack of maturity prevalent in many liberal 'voices' then you have much less doubt as of now upon reading the words of this poster.
