Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Friday, February 10, 2012

Protesters at Friday's "Occupy CPAC" demonstration, organized by AFL-CIO and the Occupy DC movement, told The Daily Caller that they were paid "sixty bucks a head" to protest outside the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C.

One protester said that his union, the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100, approached him about the financially lucrative scheme and added that all the Occupiers present at the CPAC event were being paid to demonstrate.

The price of spontaneous demonstration these days looks like $60.00 a day.

I'm quite well employed and my taxes keep your lazy ass in the style of entitlement you accustom too.

Yeah, sure you are, internet tough-guy. That's why you spend 20 hours a day spreading your Reich-wing manure here.

Word is that PantyCon will take $20 for head.

So give him head Bruce and see if he pays you the $20.

On a side note, if they are paid to protest are they employees? Are they protected by OSHA? Workman's Comp? Can they take the AFL-CIO and the Occupy DC movement to court if reasonable protection if not provided? Will they get their birth control pills.

"if they are paid to protest are they employees?"

No. The IRS has a ~20 question test. These folks don't meet the criteria for employees.

Breitbart had some choice words for Occupy CPAC people..

If you are too lazy to demonstrate you don't deserve the union protections demonstration has been indispensable in providing. I support unions but this really makes me sick.

good for you hag....

FUCK!!! that hurt coming out..

AAWW the union way.

Hope and change

Actually, isn't this the way a union is supposed to work? The members pool their money via dues and then when they want to demonstrate and show their solidarity with other working folks, they take a little out of the pool to help them do that. After all, it's their own money we're talking about.

Didn't listen to the video.

Nobody's got to pay me to protest the democrat national convention here in Charlotte. I'll be doing this one for free!

financially lucrative scheme

$60 bucks is lucrative? Pan must work PT for walmart.

Now $60 is cheap in comparison to what the GOPper candidates pay so their voters can attand CPAP and the Iowa cockasses.
