You are a fool to think otherwise. A large group of people "signed off" on that flag and its designation. It is not in the realm of believable that any of those people did not see the resemblance to the nazi symbol. These are military folk who know military history. And it is not like the SS symbols are not a widely known factoid. And military symbolism is significant in the culture. All these things are facts, which you are clearly incapable of admitting to or accepting.

You should know that the flag in question was the battle flag.

I think these Marines should be pulled immediately out of combat and Mikey Weinstein should take their place so we can fight a more PC war. After being shot at for a couple of years, we can go back and ask mikey if the most pressing thing on his mind as a scout sniper is the emblem on its unit flag.

We get it that SS stands for scout sniper. You're being an ass by acting as if that's a missed point. The issue is the using of a form of the letters with a history when there are TONS of ways (infinity minus one actually) to present those letters on a flag.

Don Burgett in Beyond the Rhine describes a meeting (after WWII was over) between a Nazi SS POS and a bunch of 101st Airborne guys on a bridge. The Nazi was such an ass one of the Screaming Eagles beat the scumbag unconscious, took all his SS regalia off his uniform and threw him off the bridge.
