O'Reilly is less of an asshole on the radio than on TV (in my limited experience of him). In his TV show, I found that "No Spin Zone" was either hypocritical or ironic. That motherfucker spun like mad in every minute that I watched. He's smart, though; I'll give him that. And I respect him for this comment about Ellen.

I think there's a reason O'Reilly is so popular. If you've ever actually watched the show or listened to him, he is an equal opportunity basher. He was not particularly fond of Bush or Obama. He compliments when someone does something he agrees with and bashes when they don't. There was a quote many years ago regarding someone else, and I don't remember who said it (Clinton, maybe) that went something like "love or hate him, agree or disagree with him, you have to admit he makes you think". I think that applies to O'Reilly.

Disagree. I think O'Reilly is truly an ideologue first and entertainer second. He is fairly consistent in his views, doesn't spout nonsense for ratings, and even admits some of his views loss him viewership. His views are just a little off. I give him in Pat Buchanon a lot of respect for being consistent in their philosophy though.
