There should be separate courses for slow players. Just like a handicap card, you can earn a "not slow player" card by using a timeclock to mark your rounds. If you do not have the "not slow player" card, you cannot play certain courses.

I had a bar claim where the peg leg Vietnam Vet got ticked off at another patron for sitting on he scooter and 'touching' his tobacco stuff.

He broke a pool stick over the guy's head, pulled out a knife from his peg leg and sliced the guy's abdomen.

Then another guy tried to get the knife away and got stabbed in the leg.

Thanks to a patron who knew what to do--tied off the leg with a belt--saving that guy's life. And applying pressure to the stomach keeping the other guy's guts inside.

Peg leg got like 10 years in prison--no scooter allowed.

The guy who got injured here will sue the golf course--for allowing a slow player on the course no doubt.

This is what the Marshall is for.

A deaf golfer teed off when slow players wouldn't move.

Hit one of them on the head and knocked him out cold.

Slower players are usually required to let faster play through - some old farts feel that they have a right to play as slow as they want and you should have to wait - I know I have experienced it many times.

Golf is a waste of a perfectly good hike. Problem is most courses won't even let you walk anymore. Make you rent a cart to 'speed play' and 'increase club revenue'.

Great game, but glad I broke the addiction 20 years ago. Still have a great set of clubs somewhere in the attic.

Speaking of broken golf club shafts. I've heard of cases where a steel shaft breaks (metal fatigue, internal rust, etc) at contact with the ground or root or ball, and the change in balance causes the much shortened shaft to quickly come up in the follow through and stab the golfer in the side of his neck potentially causing death.

Speaking of crazy golfers I usually carry when I play to avoid these situations. They don't mess with ya when you tell them you are carrying.....clubs I mean.

About 5 years ago my brother and I teamed up with a redneck who was a single (Florida). He obviously had been drinking and continued to drink during our play. On the ninth hole we all hit decent drives and were nine irons from the green on a dog-leg to the right. There was a large mound on the backside of the green. My brother hit a long nine iron and the ball cleared over the green. It was then that golfers hidden by the mound climbed atop it voicing their displeasure along with sign language. The redneck said "not to worry" and pulled a revolver from one of the pouches in his golf bag.

There is no question but that the attacker was a liberal. If he were a conservative, he would've shown good etiquette by allowing the faster threesome to play through. Instead, he wanted to get all up in the face of a 1%er. Was probably all fucked up too.

The guy that was stabbed was on top of another guy....so I am guessing he was actively attacking someone from the group in front, and someone else from the group in front desided to provided defense.

This is the adult world, not a highschool shoving match with a few punches thrown. In adult fights life threatening injuries are not uncommon either due to a cracked skull, blunt force trauma to internal organs, or a weapon being used.

Obviously, the situation was allowed to escallate beyond reason.
If the person that was stabbed was actively attacking another person, and a friend of that person had to resort to violence to get him off of him, then how would this not be a round about case of self defense.

If I saw someone attacking a friend of mine & had them pinned on the ground, I would strongly encourage them to stop. In all likelyhood a good kick to the ribs would stop it then and there. If that didn't work, i would take whatever measures I felt necessary to protect them, even if that means breaking a baseball bat over someones head or stabbing them with a makeshift weapon.
