A Tea Party-backed Republican candidate running for the U.S. Senate in Wisconsin has been an outspoken critic of federal stimulus spending while getting more than $80,000 in stimulus grants for his own solar energy company. Former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann (R) even signed a letter last year urging Congress to keep the incentives flowing. When he announced his candidacy, Neumann called the stimulus a failure and said he would lead the conservative charge to "change course immediately."

No surprise.

"teabagger pol took stimulus $$"

Anybody will take free shit. Look at how people become Democrats.

For you braindead Rturds too lazy to click on the link and read the article:

"The leading tea party-backed Republican candidate running for Wisconsin's open U.S. Senate seat who has also been a longtime critic of a federal stimulus program received more than $80,000 in stimulus grants for his own solar energy company.

And another renewable energy company run by former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann signed a letter in November urging congressional leaders to keep the incentives flowing.

The letter contradicts Neumann's campaign stance calling for the immediate end to the 2009 stimulus program, enacted by Congress as a way to spur economic investment in the midst of a recession. In his 2010 campaign for governor, Neumann said he would devote any Wisconsin stimulus money to tax cuts and reducing the state's debt."

Nice try dork, this has been rebuked by MSNBC.

Whatever the truth is at least we found a green company that got some money from tax payers and didn't go tit's up. Barry will be there with the teleprompter and cameras to flaunt the success.

Nice try dork, this has been rebuked by MSNBC.

anyone with a brain would rebuke it--it's a typical example of rethug fraud--haven't seen a denial or the story being refuted. the paper that reported it is a pant pissing right wing rag that even wisclod would read if they get it in plover or whatever shithole he resides in...

Next thing you know Republican will be considered synonymous with hypocrite. Oh wait, it already is.

AssHouse busted again ass lying sack of shit:

MADISON- Solar energy companies owned by a tea party Republican strongly opposed to the 2009 federal stimulus package have received half a million dollars in grants under the programs. The Associated Press first reported Thursday that GOP candidate Mark Neumann's company Neumann Solar Leasing received about $81,000 in grants last year. But Neumann said Friday that company and another one, MN Solar Leasing, had gotten even more in stimulus grants and other tax credits. The U.S. Treasury Department confirms that MN Solar Leasing got nearly $418,000 in stimulus grants. Neumann says his companies have gotten about $250,000 in additional tax credits established by President George W. Bush.Neumann says the incentives have helped his companies invest in Wisconsin projects and create about 50 jobs.

To be fair Republicans are also synonymous with "ignorant", "bigoted" and "wrong" so there's understandably a lot of confusion on the issue.

^__^

Be Well.

ry will be there with the teleprompter and cameras to flaunt the success.

.....and you are not happy about an economic success ?........

.......would you prefer all stimulus projects to fail so that Obama would look bad ?......

.....are you one of those who would prefer America to fail so that Republicans can succeed ?.......

Neumann was my Representative for awhile in the 1980's. His time in Congress was unremarkable .I can not recall anything of significance he accomplished. Imagine him sitting in the the other Senate chair for Wisconsin. A perfect bookend for Ron Johnson.

asshouse will be along to rebuke this latest story....

Another half story by the Libtarts.

I don't know this guys history but, is he saying all stimulus money is bad.
Or is he saying giving Monster Loans backed by the tax payer is bad.
This was a grant and a very small one at that.

Also the Company that he owns and got the grant IS MAKING MONEY.
Thus putting it back into the economy, that would be a good thing and the reason for the stimulus.

The 50 job thing seems suspect but I guess its who and how they are counting the jobs that matter.

Did you notice how they tried to tie this to some kind of Solyndra type of thing which is all the product of Obamanomics.

If we are all guilty, nobody is guilty....yea right.

.....NOPE IN NOVEMBER......

Oh, so granting money to folks who become successful is okay, but if they're not successful, it's Obama's fault. Right?

Wow, Mensa must have really lowered their standards.

It's a lot more honest to just say 'a politician' is synonymous with 'a hypocrite.' Or 'a danni.'

Can't wait to hear you embrace bombing Iran. You know -- Obama style.

I'm sure its going to be the most humanitarianly awesome bombing and killing since the sodomy of Qaddaffi, Nobelesque in its grandeur.

What do you know! Danni is a closet Republican!

Come out of the closet Danni.

This was a grant and a very small one at that.

The part of the story Badger doesn't want you to read is that this was originally a tax credit under Bush. The only thing the Messiah's stimulus rathole did was pay it forward.

Badger and his trolls want you to think that this guy jumped into the same cesspool as Solyndra, when that is exactly what did not happen.

running for ... U.S. Senate
former U.S. Rep. ...
...his 2010 campaign for governor

That's all you need to know about this guy.
He's in it to collect all the fame, glory, and riches he can scam from the taxpayer.

Next thing you know Republican will be considered synonymous with hypocrite. Oh wait, it already is.

Hate to jump on but it's not like they have exclusive rights to the title.

Wow look at the tards spin like a Maytag to minimize this.

Well to answer your question bluntly ....yea, who else would you blame.
His administration gave the approval to set up the SOLYNDRA LOAN (Not grant like Neumann company got) they also set up the structure of the loan, all of which had to be approved by more people in his administration, which failed miserably just like EVERY other bone headed idea that his administration has come up with, every one.

What I'm saying is the small amount of money ($250,000 grant) that this company got was used successfully and was no where near the F--k story that Solyndra was. Another Libtart pipe dream.

The application of the money and what it was used for is the huge difference between pouring money in to Solyndra ($535 million)
to try and force a product in to a market the was easily under cut buy a competitor (China).

And Every body knew it, that's why the private sector did not expose itself to the risk as they are profit driven not emotionally driven like the Libtarts.

The difference between the two companies is $ $535,000,000.00 in total loss of tax payer money for Solyndra-Obama and not one job to show for it.

As apposed to $ 250,000.00 in a grant that started in Bush's administration and created 50 jobs.

$534,750,000.00 would be the difference between the money give to each company.

Do not this Danforth person every once in awhile tell us he is some kind of overseer of a Pension fund some where.....really.

.....NOPE IN NOVEMBER.....

"Well to answer your question bluntly ....yea"

Clueless. As if folks have a crystal ball.

'What I'm saying is the small amount of money"

No, you just admitted you're not. You admitted if Solyndra had succeeded, it would have been the right thing to do.
