You are actually 100% correct. The concept of "planning parenthood" does imply contraception and abortion to many and those are just parts of what PP does. The Woman's Health Network would more accurately reflect the varied aspects of a woman's health they actually deal with.

I'm furious that I was inadvertently giving money to PP over the past two years by sponsoring women in the "Race to the Cure" thingy. Up til now, my only objection was in the name, considering it's not a "race" in any stretch of the word. Then again, "Leisurely Stroll While Gabbing Away On Your Cell Phone For The Cure" doesn't have quite the same punch.

Last year I learned the Komen was suing other charities over the term "for the cure". They had actually trademarked the name. So--they're giving a lot of money to lawyers, and to PP. End of story for me.
