Good for Newt! Ron Paul got a whopping 12 minutes of speaking time out of the 90 total- let people scream and clap every time Newt dismisses his cancer/ms-stricken ex wives, or Santorum vows to nuke half the world, and then we won't have to listen to stupid Paul tell us what a real conservative is.

The format of the SC debates should've been a ladder match. The crowd's vociferousness would've fit better with folding chairs and a steel cage.

Mod: "Speaker Gingrich, can you explain to us how your talent of waving your finger and scolding the media will uniquely qualify you as President of the USSA?"

Gingitch: "That's absurd... of course marraige is only between a man and a woman... unless, the woman has MS or cancer..."

Good for Newt! The most interesting part of that snooze fest was reading the DR lib comments. I will boycott watching the next sanitized debate. It's called politics not a chess match.

Yeah, the South Carolina audience was basically a pack of howling KKKers and that embarrassed the GOP so much that in this debate the audience was a measly 300 people and they kept a lid on them this time by telling them all to "hold their applause" till the end.

Spud can see how Gingrich's inability to rouse the mob into a blood thirsty frenzy might be disconcerting to him.

Seriously, the GOP audience actually BOOED the GOLDEN RULE the other night.

Next time some GOPher claims to be a Christian Spud'll just laugh right in their faux-Christian face.

Newt gets off on going after moderators, who he knows damn well can't respond with their personal thoughts to his attacks. Like he he did the whole "How dare you!" bit when asked about his open marriage idea. Obviously, if it were a real arguement, he would have been trounced. The moderator would have said "You talk about the sanctity of marriage when justifying some of your positions so obviously, your hypocritical behavior pertaining to marriage is relevant...." if it were a real arguement. But moderators are not there to argue. Newt wants to get his moron supporters howling when he attacks people who aren't allowed to fight back. The last thing he wants to do is actually debate anyone during a debate.

maybe Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell could moderate one it's not like we are going to pick who runs the country or anything. oh wait...

It is unfortunate that Newt can't hear an audience cheer or boo. It makes it difficult for him to know what immediate prejudices he can suck up to.

You should be relieved. After South Carolina Newt has made sure that the GOP share of the Black vote is halved from miniscule to vanishing.

There are way too many outspoken Paul fans this year shut the damn hell up while we're trying to disseminate our propaganda.
