Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, January 23, 2012

Psychiatrist Keith Ablow, a Fox News contributor, writes that Newt Gingrich's multiple marriages and history of infidelity would make him a better president. "When three women want to sign on for life with a man who is now running for president, I worry more about whether we'll be clamoring for a third Gingrich term, not whether we'll want to let him go after one." Because Gingrich delivered "painful truths" to his first two wives about leaving them, Ablow writes, "I can only hope Mr. Gingrich will be as direct and unsparing with the Congress, the American people and our allies."

Can anyone tell me what about Newt's serial-dumping approach to marriage appeals to them - and how they feel it makes Newt the perfect Prez?

This I gotta hear.

Natch! Gingrich has been the neocon favorite from the git-go. Fox is only kissing its idol.

"Fox is only kissing its idol."

Kissing? This is Linda Lovelace territory.

No Republican candidate who isn't 100% with the Neocons will be allowed to get near the Presidency.

Should the Republicans win in 2012 start beating the war drums.

After all, to the PNAC Neocons, a few thousand more injured and dead U.S. Marines and GIs will just be factored into their war profiteering as a cost of doing business.

I know several people who are fairly conservative that I talked out of voting for McCain in 2008 by simply reminding them of "bomb, bomb, bomb, let's bomb Iran." Those same people will listen to people like me again in 2012, America does not want another war monger president. All of the Republicans except Ron Paul are war mongers. Obama's reelection is pretty secure because of it.

"After all, to the PNAC Neocons, a few thousand more injured and dead U.S. Marines and GIs will just be factored into their war profiteering as a cost of doing business."

Yep - in war, as in marriage, the GOP mantra is "They Were Expendable."

Those same people will listen to people like me again in 2012,

So they will ignore the rest of the countries ailments of the last four years and vote because you mention Iran? Why would you have to mention it at all? Are these people incapable of reading their own news sources and making up their own minds without a far leftie chick making it for them?

What mindless people you hang with, danni

"Your new front-runner is one of your old front runners, Newt Gingrich. I would like to take a moment to revel: I cannot personally tell you how pleased I am to see old Newt rise to the top after listening to all of your nauseating, sickening lectures on the evils of government and the importance of family values.

Now, you guys have to deal with a $1.6 million Freddie Mac consultant (who says he wasn't a lobbyist) who has been married three times. Hope you, at least, enjoy the Super Bowl. It could be your last hurrah for a while."

If one is being honest, they'd have to wonder if Newt would betray not only one wife, but two -- women he supposedly loved very much at one time -- what would it take for him to also betray this country by leading them down the wrong path should the rewards to him and his pals be profitable enough.

It surely has to weigh on one's mind.

Goatie:

Go to the linked article, and read what Ablow is offering FOX viewers as reasons Gingrich would make a good Prez, and then you tell me about mindless.

"So they will ignore the rest of the countries ailments of the last four years and vote because you mention Iran?"

NO, because I made them actually consider how insane John McCain and the like really are. Once you bring it to their attention how insane it was for a sitting US Senator, running for the presidency, to make a joke out of bombing another country they didn't need any more help in figuring out who to vote for. Anyone who would vote for someone who makes jokes about war are themselves a bit insane.

Seeing as both of you are women, would either of you want to have an affair with a fat 70 something man who looks like Newt? You both realize how long he has been married to his current wife, right? You both actually worry about him still straying?

LMAO... The drudge woman here, you go to love em...

Go to the linked article, and read what Ablow is offering FOX viewers as reasons Gingrich would make a good Prez, and then you tell me about mindless.

I read the article. I don't fully agree with it.

But it has nothing to do with my point of mindless voters whose candidates are decided by a single talking point from a chick in Florida

Accept the sitting senator who lied about McCain wanting to saty in Iraq for a hundred years...

Danni and pathetic... Like Obama and Biden LMAO...

Accept? What a moron...
"except"...

I made them actually consider how insane John McCain and the like really are.

Again -- mindless. I can "actually consider" stuff without a sidekick with a biased PoV whispering in my ear

"Again -- mindless. I can "actually consider" stuff without a sidekick with a biased PoV whispering in my ear"

Whoopie for you. Who cares.

"You both actually worry about him still straying?"

Crispee:

As a straight male, you may be unfamiliar with this concept, but here goes: If you watch what a guy does with his dick, you know what kind of man he really is.

In Newt's case, the ethical concepts behind marriage obviously mean nothing when he's found a new itch to scratch. Which brings up the question of how he treats other ethical challenges.

Which is answered by the whopping (three hundred grand) fine he had to pay for ethics violations while Speaker of the House.

The man is a sleaze in his love life. He's a sleaze professionally. We do not need him as a First Sleaze.

"Accept the sitting senator who lied about McCain wanting to saty in Iraq for a hundred years..."

"During a town hall meeting in Derry, New Hampshire last night, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told a crowd of roughly two hundred people that it “would be fine with” him if the U.S. military stayed in Iraq for “a hundred years“:
Q: President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years â€" (cut off by McCain)
McCAIN: Make it a hundred.
Q: Is that … (cut off)
McCAIN: We’ve been in South Korea … we’ve been in Japan for 60 years. We’ve been in South Korea 50 years or so. That would be fine with me. As long as Americans …
Q: [tries to say something]
McCAIN: As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. That’s fine with me, I hope that would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where Al Queada is training and equipping and recruiting and motivating people every single day."

Whoopie for you. Who cares.

Most of the people I hang with would. They are smart enough to digest information and make decisions on their own. Yes, danni, there are actually independent thinkers out there beyond your world, believe it or not.

"But it has nothing to do with my point of mindless voters whose candidates are decided by a single talking point from a chick in Florida"

And how is that different from mindless voters whose candidates are decided by a single talking point from a talking head on FOX?

If you watch what a guy does with his dick, you know what kind of man he really is.

Pretty much true. But it's worthwhile to forgive Newt for his indiscretions, out of Christian charity.

And it's worthwhile for Newt to prove he's contrite by running for school board before he asserts he's worthy for the presidency.

But that would be a sacrifice on his part, wouldn't it?

And how is that different from mindless voters whose candidates are decided by a single talking point from a talking head on FOX?

It's not. Mindless voters are mndles voters. If I inferred they weren't I retract the statement that made you believe that.

Besides, how do you know that Ablow's odd story convinced an otherwise Obama voter to vote for the Republican as danni claimed she convinced someone to switch their vote?

"Which is answered by the whopping (three hundred grand) fine he had to pay for ethics violations while Speaker of the House."

Really? Can you actually link the violations attributed to the fines? Or did you hear that from some ugly, ignorant pundit on TV?

Goatie:

I don't know that, in the sense of provable fact. But it's pretty clear that FOX is trying to paper over the cracks in Newtie's past, and I don't think it's unfair to say that's an attempt to sway voters.

"Really? Can you actually link the violations attributed to the fines? Or did you hear that from some ugly, ignorant pundit on TV?"

Here ya go, sweetie:

"Gingrich admitted that he brought discredit to the House and broke its rules by failing to ensure that financing for two projects would not violate federal tax law and by giving the House ethics committee false information."

But it's pretty clear that FOX is trying to paper over the cracks in Newtie's past, and I don't think it's unfair to say that's an attempt to sway voters.

Damned MSM. Feed them to the South Carolinians. They looked hungry.

Can anyone tell me what about Newt's serial-dumping approach to marriage appeals to them - and how they feel it makes Newt the perfect Prez?

First Ablow is not the brightest bulb. He gives his opinion and you can accept it or not.

Newt's serial dumping as you put it occurred over 12 to 30 years ago.

Is he perfect--far from it.

No one is perfect--there was one person Jesus. But he's not running.

He's been with his wife for over a dozen years--he's happy, he's a changed guy.

You can accept that or not.

I don't care about his personal life. Clinton changed. Newt changed.

I care about the country and the direction it has gone under Obama--the wrong direction.

I want someone with experience and electable, smart with solutions to fix the damn mess we are in.

Newt rubbed people the wrong way while in congress. The establishment had to take him down.

They don't want him to be POTUS--because they don't want to change. He will make the changes, he will work with both sides of the aisle, he's done it before.

You can accept that or not.

"FOX News Kisses Newt's Ass"

Wow...which of the people there are getting thrills up their legs, do you know? Plese tell me it's not Bob Beckel.

And here's the skinny on the ethics committee--from wiki--

''Ethics violations, reprimand and fineEighty-four ethics charges were filed against Gingrich during his term as speaker. After extensive investigation and negotiation by the House Ethics Committee, Gingrich was reprimanded and fined $300,000 by a 395â€"28 House vote. It was the first time in history a speaker was disciplined for ethical wrongdoing.[65]

In January 1997, Gingrich said "I did not manage the effort intensely enough to thoroughly direct or review information being submitted to the committee on my behalf. In my name and over my signature, inaccurate, incomplete and unreliable statements were given to the committee, but I did not intend to mislead the committee."[66] Most of the charges were dropped, in one case because there was no evidence that Gingrich was still violating, as of the time of the investigation, the rule that he was found to have violated in the past.[67] The one charge not dropped was a charge of claiming tax-exempt status for a college course run for political purposes. In addition, the House Ethics Committee concluded that inaccurate information supplied to investigators represented "intentional or ... reckless" disregard of House rules.[68]

Special Counsel James M. Cole concluded that Gingrich violated federal tax law and had lied to the ethics panel in an effort to force the committee to dismiss the complaint against him. The full committee panel did not agree whether tax law had been violated and left that issue up to the IRS.[68] In 1999, the IRS cleared the organizations connected with the "Renewing American Civilization" courses under investigation for possible tax violations.[69]''

tell me it's not Bob Beckel.

Actually Bob likes Newt--has for months.

He's the Phreaker of the Spouse.--Daily Show segment headline.

But knowing the propensity of the Great Unwashed to act against their own best interests, that they might prefer a serial adulterer over Obama will not come as that great a shock come next November. I was going to sit the next election out, as my disappointment in the current sitting President left me with no one to enthusiastically vote FOR, but if my one vote might make the difference in preventing that ethically-bankrupt 1%er from coming anywhere near the Oval Office, I'll gladly hold my nose.

Right about now I really miss Paul Wellstone.

"The man is a sleaze in his love life. He's a sleaze professionally. We do not need him as a First Sleaze."

Well! That changes everything! I'm sure the voters in South Carolina wouldn't have voted for him if they'd seen this post first. I just hope he doesn't use the Oval Office for blow jobs if he gets elected.

"Newt changed."

Ab. So. Lute. Bull. Shit.

Newtie's treatment of his first wife was an issue when he was running for Congress. At that point, he claimed contrition, and was "forgiven" by voters.

The dissolution of his second marriage, his six-year dalliance with Callista while hammering Clinton on Lewinsky, and his ethics charges in the House all followed.

You're confusing forgiveness with turning a blind eye. One might conceivably forgive Charles Manson his crimes, but would you let him out of prison? I don't think so.

"Well! That changes everything! I'm sure the voters in South Carolina wouldn't have voted for him if they'd seen this post first. I just hope he doesn't use the Oval Office for blow jobs if he gets elected."

Two things:

1) o the best of my recollection, William Jefferson Clinton isn't running this time around.

2) Clinton was impeached, and the GOP re-took the White House for eight long, grim years.

I think this country has suffered long enough over that bit of fellatio. Especially since Bill can't run again. Newt - most unfortunately - can run again, and is running again, which is the difference.

P.S.: I also wonder why your side of the aisle doesn't see the potential for sexual impropriety on Gingrich's part to influence this nation's course of events, since you're still talking about Bill's blow jobs?

"Ethics violations, reprimand and fineEighty-four ethics charges were filed against Gingrich during his term as speaker. So the answer is no MTW does not have proof Gingrich paid an ethics violation fine. He was of course absolved of what out 83 of 84? Think maybe the fine to pay for the "ethics investigation" is a bit different than paying a fine for "violating an ethics" law?

"P.S.: I also wonder why your side of the aisle doesn't see the potential for sexual impropriety on Gingrich's part to influence this nation's course of events, since you're still talking about Bill's blow jobs?"

Did Newt go on national TV and basically tell YOU that you are dumber than dirt for believing the media about him having an affair?

"Obama's reelection is pretty secure because of it."

Obama's reelection is pretty secure I'll see to it.

FTFY

It was the first time in history a speaker was disciplined for ethical wrongdoing.

Lawls.

GL w/ THAT.

Go on FOX, polish that turd.

Put some elbow grease into it this time.

This is gonna be so much fun for Spud!

^__^

Be Well.

"So the answer is no MTW does not have proof Gingrich paid an ethics violation fine."

Here ya go, dumbass:

www.washingtonpost.com

Gingrich paid the fine in full. His credit rating is better than his marital and ethical track records, I must admit.

P.S.: Have ya ever considered a-usin' that there new-fangled Google thingy before openin' yer yap?

"Did Newt go on national TV and basically tell YOU that you are dumber than dirt for believing the media about him having an affair?"

Why should he, when FOX is so willing to polish his turds for him?

Not sure. Do you bother to read your own links? Let's see...

"Speaker Newt Gingrich has completed payment of a $300,000 penalty imposed for violations of House rules, the ethics committee said Wednesday."

Hmmm... Thought all charges were dropped but one. Oh House rules, and not House ethics violated...

"The money was designed to reimburse the committee for extra investigative costs resulting from Gingrich's misleading statements."

---Did Newt go on national TV and basically tell YOU that you are dumber than dirt for believing the media about him having an affair?---

"Why should he, when FOX is so willing to polish his turds for him?"

Based on that answer MTW still to this day believes Clinton did not have an affair, and accepts what he said on national TV that he did not have improper relations. Maybe someone can tell MTW and AU he actually did bone Monica...

"I think this country has suffered long enough over that bit of fellatio."

How has the country suffered? The only thing I regret is that he didn't immediately fess up and avoid all the rest of it. I have a hard time trying to decide which of the occupants in the White House during my lifetime might have been "pure." I KNOW it wouldn't be FDR, JFK, Ike, LBJ,...maybe Truman, maybe Carter...well, you know.
I certainly wouldn't have liked Clinton to be removed from office because the thought of a President Gore gave me chills (not the good kind.) I wish Clinton COULD have run in 2008 instead of Obammus Caesar.

"P.S.: I also wonder why your side of the aisle doesn't see the potential for sexual impropriety on Gingrich's part to influence this nation's course of events, since you're still talking about Bill's blow jobs?"

Probably because all the sexual impropriety on the part of the aforementioned occupants of the WH didn't have much influence on the nation's course of events. Why, oh why, did Bill have to get his johnson slobbered in the Oval Office....and then deny it? That's the only thing that caused the fuss.

I didn't care about Clinton's Oval Office cigar tricks.

Was he a disasterous president? CC seems to think the personal life a person will flow over to their presidency.

Was Clinton a bad or good president--overall?

Were jobs going full throttle? Was the economy good, great or awful?
Did we have any wars? (Complain about Bosnia -sure, but run by NATO)

Was the budget balanced? How about welfare reform?

Yes to both. And Newt was there leading the way with Clinton right there--a Democratic President.

LMAO. Let's reflect:

John Kennedy we all know about

Jimmy Carter lusted after the women in Playboy

Gary Hartt betrayed his wife

Bill Clinton...holy shit!

John Kerry: “Like Kitty Dukakis and me,” she says [Kerry's first wife]. “When John won the primaries for the lieutenant governorship of Massachusetts, we went to do our publicity photographs with Kitty and Mike Dukakis. Kitty had just come out of a rehab center, and I had just asked John for a separationâ€"and here we were, living these enormous lies. We had to live those lies for the whole campaign. I call that ’shadow work.’
“Speaking for myself, I found it humiliating. After all, it’s the husband’s career, his job. What’s it got to do with his marriage? A person can be a perfectly wonderful politician, but maybe not a perfect husband or wife. I mean, it’s known that John Kennedy was a terrific philanderer, but does that change his politics?”
carnivorousconservative.typepa
d.com

Al Gore who we find out likes massages and escorts.

Edwards who the MSM refused to touch for a year and only after Edwards admitted it in public.

Obama who the media won't touch.

And Gingrich's "lovely wife" and facts not reported:
"1) There was a signed and notarized separation agreement from 1987 which was never filed with the state, included as part of the 1999 divorce filing.
2) She walked out on him in 1987 while he was out of town leaving him to come home to a house emptied of furniture.
3) They maintained separate residences for 6 years before reconciling around 1993-1994.
4) She was not diagnosed with MS until some time after July 2000 which was after the divorce was filed.
Hardly fits the good wife who’d been “married a long time” representation. Nor a good fit for he left me because I got sick meme either." polipundit.com

Cain: The uproar the media played until he dropped out and then all the stories about his "infidelity" dropped as well.

SO does all of it weigh on your mind? Or just Gingrich?

"Based on that answer MTW still to this day believes Clinton did not have an affair, and accepts what he said on national TV that he did not have improper relations."

Stop putting words in my mouth, you sad sack of shit. I never once in all my tenure here at the Retort have said that Clinton did not do what he was accused of, and I deplore the lie he told as much as anyone else, if not more. Check my posting history if you doubt me.

Asshole.

"SO does all of it weigh on your mind?"

The only thing that weighs on MY mind is why Clinton chose to dally with a chubby air head right in the Oval Office. Now, JFK and Marilyn Monroe....

"The money was designed to reimburse the committee for extra investigative costs resulting from Gingrich's misleading statements."

In other words, your boy lied, just like Clinton did about the blow job - and just like Clinton, put investigators through a lot of completely unnecessary merry hell.

Clinton paid with his credibility (he was persona non grata during Gore's run for the White House), and Gingrich paid with money.

Still, lies in both cases. L. I. E. S. If you deplore Bill's lies so much, then you need to consider Newt's as well.

"Probably because all the sexual impropriety on the part of the aforementioned occupants of the WH didn't have much influence on the nation's course of events. Why, oh why, did Bill have to get his johnson slobbered in the Oval Office....and then deny it? That's the only thing that caused the fuss."

The fall from grace suffered by Clinton as a result of his impeachment made it impossible for him to campaign for Gore in 2000 the way that had been planned. That gave the Bush camp just enough traction to get that idiot into the White House, resulting in eight long, nasty years of war, erosion of civil liberties and fiscal rape of this nation.

Don't tell me that affair of Clinton's didn't have an effect, because it fuckin'-A did.

Can anyone tell me what about Newt's serial-dumping approach to marriage appeals to them - and how they feel it makes Newt the perfect Prez?

This I gotta hear.

it's really pretty simple .. the analogy is as follows:
~ Newt rid himself of a psychotic-evil bitch and is now HAPPY
~ Pres Newt would rid America of psychotic-evil Libs and make the USA HAPPY

SO does all of it weigh on your mind? Or just Gingrich?

LOLOLOL!!

Oh, KBM, you so crazy.

Seriously, man you've had this explained to you like 100 times here.

Once more?

A'ight...

It's the hypocrisy factor.

None of the people you name above ever got up on a high horse and held themselves out as paragons of virtue and defenders of the sanctity of marriage the way Gingrich has.

While Clinton was making his infamous "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" remark Gingrich was standing on a soapbox in Congress and making noises about the sanctity of marriage. Meanwhile back at home the sleazy jackhole was getting hummers from his friends wives, chasing anything in a skirt and asking Marianne if she'd be as cool with the idea of an open marriage as Calista was.

When asked by his second wife (back when she was still just his mistress) how he could stand being such a massive hypocrite he famously attempted to absolve himself by saying essentially "it doesn't matter what I do it's what I say that counts".

Such a massive, self-entitled, hubris-filled hypocrite simply doesn't deserve the job as POTUS.

One would have to be a total politically partisan hack to even consider the possibility.

K?

Did you get it that time or does Spud need to do this all over again at some point?

Be Well.

"~ Pres Newt would rid America of psychotic-evil Libs and make the USA HAPPY"

Yeah, everyone was so happy from 2000 to 2008. Especially that last year.

Yeah, everyone was so happy from 2000 to 2008. Especially that last year.

you make a good point ..

~ hmmm, Bamster was elected to Senate in'04, and Pelosi Speaker in '06

"The fall from grace suffered by Clinton as a result of his impeachment made it impossible for him to campaign for Gore in 2000 the way that had been planned."

What makes you so sure it was "planned?" They didn't like each other much to begin with.

"That gave the Bush camp just enough traction to get that idiot into the White House, resulting in eight long, nasty years of war, erosion of civil liberties and fiscal rape of this nation."

Only four years, Mary, FOUR years. That was mostly because you and your little friends nominated an idiot who couldn't carry his own home state. The second four years was because you nominated ANOTHER idiot in Hanoi John Kerry. Seems you have a guy in office now who likes erosion of liberties and fiscal rape too. I seem to remember something about expanson of the Patriot Act, trillion dollar deficits, crony capitalism, Solyndra and other fiascos etc., etc. Kinda like the kettle callin' the pot black, dontcha think? President Barack Bush is just President George Bush on steroids.

Don't tell me that affair of Clinton's didn't have an effect, because it fuckin'-A did.

OK, I won't tell ya'.

"Did you get it that time or does Spud need to do this all over again at some point?"

Whatever floats yer boat...but why do you even care. You should exit stage left as ya' do and keep your act up in Canada where they elected all those conservatives last time. Maybe you can influence an election up there or something 'cause you're just irrelevant to voters here.

"Pelosi Speaker in '06"

Again, someone needs to check my posting history to find out where I stand before trying to hold me accountable for any part in this.

i have said it many times before, and I will say it again: Pelosi is a dysfunctional mom masquerading as a national leader. The only line of work I consider her fit for is being in a Disney movie screaming, "GET THOSE PUPPIES!"

"What makes you so sure it was "planned?" They didn't like each other much to begin with."

Whatever the personal relationship, the dynastic imperative was strong enough to make Clinton plan for a Gore Presidency following his own. Had l'affaire Lewinsky never happened, you'd have seen Clinton out stumping for Gore big-time, and in fact, he kept offering, only to be rebuffed by Gore's handlers, who feared the toxicity of Clinton's reputation in the hands of the Bush camp.

Sad, sad situation.

Oh, and Justgettinalong:

You talk as if I'm a fan of Barack Obama's. If you'd check back through my postings here, you'd see I've been critical of him since way before he ever got elected.

It's just that far worse could happen to this country. Like Newt.

Obama was elected in 2006 too.

He barely knew where the Senate Menroom was located when he dropped everything and ran for POTUS.

"It's just that far worse could happen to this country. Like Newt."

I can't say I'm excited about Newt although I think he's the smartest of the bunch. I'm not excited about ANY of them but I know for sure I'm going to the poll in November and voting AGAINST the incumbent. I don't have anything against his morals or whatever but his policies are a DISASTER. No matter how many affairs the new president had or WILL have, I don't see how the policies he'd put in place could be any worse.

Well, Murphy -

If electing someone we knew so little about has worked out so unsatisfactorily in your opinion, imagine the consequences of electing someone we know to be a liar, a serial adulterer and a hypocrite.

He barely knew where the Senate Menroom was located when he dropped everything and ran for POTUS.

Yes, and now he actually *is* POTUS and has had 3 years more experience at the job than any one he's running against.

The experience argument didn't work in 2008.

What is God's name makes you think it will work any better in 2012 when he actually holds the upper hand?

You cunning plan, Murphy.

You have not thought it all the way through.

Be Well.

You = your

*smacks self in head with rubber tennis shoe*

Ow.

Be Well.

"No matter how many affairs the new president had or WILL have, I don't see how the policies he'd put in place could be any worse."

One of the things that troubles me most mightily about Newt on the policy front is his stance on gay marriage, which is the traditional "Ain't gonna happen" one that appeals so much to the Bible-thumpers the GOP depends on so much for votes.

How one human cranium can contain both a rationale for Newt's own obvious and evident contempt for marriage as it applies to him - and a rationale for denying other people the power to decide such matters for themselves - is beyond me.

If Newt had been stably married to one woman all his life, I might have some grudging respect for his position, but not as matters stand.

"Yes, and now he actually *is* POTUS and has had 3 years more experience at the job than any one he's running against."

Welllll, one could argue that someone having EIGHT years as second in line for the job (after the vice president, and having MORE power as Speaker than the VP) could be more experienced. Anyway, when ya' headed up North to straighten out those asshole conservatives in Canada? You gave up on them and you jusy wanna provide we stupid conservatives with a few chuckles with your irrelevant Pudisms?

"One of the things that troubles me most mightily about Newt on the policy front is his stance on gay marriage,..."

An issue about which I could not care less, one way or the other.

"If Newt had been stably married to one woman all his life, I might have some grudging respect for his position, but not as matters stand."

Hmmmm...Carter did that and wasn't such a super success in office. Now, JFK stayed married but supposedly had an "understanding" with Jackie and I consider him to have been VERY good for the three years he was in office. I believe if he had lived we wouldn't be in such a mess as we are today. His death resulted in LBJ and THAT was the beginning of the decline. Can't say I put too much consideration on marital fidelity in the qualification for president. It would be nice to have someone like that....HEY, maybe Romney???

Just:

JFK was not attempting to make national policy on the issue of marriage. My point here is not so much pro or con on gay marriage - it's the idea that Gingrich could be so blatant about his "do as I say, not as I do" mentality.

We've got more than enough of that horseshit to go around these days without adding Newt's to it.

"Welllll, one could argue that someone having EIGHT years as second in line for the job (after the vice president, and having MORE power as Speaker than the VP) could be more experienced."

Well, so far as I know, Darth Cheney's not running.

BTW, did you hear why Cheney isn't getting a heart transplant?

They wanted a core exchange.

You do know, of course, that Congress has been passing laws and doing that to us for a century or more? Obama is doing it NOW too. More fuckin' "executive orders" than a horse could shit. It'll even get worse if he's reelected. As I said, regardless of his opponent, I'll vote AGAINST him. I may not even vote in the primary this year as I don't know who I'd vote for at this point. And I really DON'T care what gays and lesbians do. It's just not an issue with me.

Welllll, one could argue that someone having EIGHT years as second in line for the job (after the vice president, and having MORE power as Speaker than the VP) could be more experienced.

The experience argument, particularly Cheney and Dumbya's much vaunted "executive experience" was a big factor in why they got the votes they did.

And how did that work out again?

Be Well.

The headline should be MSNBC squeezes shit out of Obama's intestines and eats it from a bowl.

"You do know, of course, that Congress has been passing laws and doing that to us for a century or more?"

Painfully aware.

Which is why I'm so concerned with stopping it.

Gotta go...everybody play nice now. Be especially nice to DedPud, he doesn't have any friends and needs a hug.

If you had even half a clue what you were voting for and against Spud might be able to take you half ways seriously.

But, of course, Spud has read your posts enough to know that you don't.

You are a very bitter, angry and ignorant man.

GL w/ that.

Be Well.

Look out, Wrecks -

If you don't get a handle on fantasies like this, you'll one day find yourself in an airport restroom, tapping out the code for -

Well, you know.

Don't put your face in helicopter blades, Whore.

"His death resulted in LBJ and THAT was the beginning of the decline."

Yeah, tell the seniors citizens that Medicare is responsible for the decline of America. See how that goes over with them. LBJ was a great man who got caught up in a stupid war.

Ever get the feeling Spud and Al Sharpton are on the same page when he watches his favorite show on MSNBC? Not only in intelligence and political savy, but in character as well?

ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC kiss obama's ass - Dems have many and the Republicans have one - live with it.

Seeing as both of you are women, would either of you want to have an affair with a fat 70 something man who looks like Newt? You both realize how long he has been married to his current wife, right? You both actually worry about him still straying?

LMAO... The drudge woman here, you go to love em...

You ever see Murdoch's lady-friend? Kissinger's? Power is an aphrodisiac to a lot of women, Crispeepee. I'm sure Newt, who was no studmuffin when Callista was banging him, could find some bimbo to do him. And the Clinton's were married for about 20 years before Monicagate blew up.

who is more moral a guy who cheats on his wife or a guy who takes a vow and fails twice? How can a republican vote for a divorcee? Can we trust his oath of office?

Classic right-wing media.

Dude, I have no idea how you can take yourself seriously, let alone expect others to do so with some of the shit I've seen you type.

Google the term "Gold Digger" & "Marrying for money". For fucks sake there's even a wikihow on how to be a gold digger.

Shit like that has nothing to do with physical looks.

America does not want another war monger president.

America will have a warmonger for President regardless of who wins, the Republican or the Democrat.

The man is a sleaze in his love life. He's a sleaze professionally. We do not need him as a First Sleaze.

Ah resent that! Mah billy is much moah than a cocksman!

"When three women want to sign on for life with a man who is now running for president"

Wouldn't that make any mormon a shoo-in?

What pols do outside the connubial bed is their business, between them and their mates. It has nothing to do with me. Hypocrisy, however, does, and Repubs own the patent on that. Newt, however, is Mr. Sleaze, the embodiment of the most gross crookedness. THAT matters most, herm

Fox "News" has it's own for-pay psychiatrist?

Good. First step is recognizing you have a problem.

Baby steps, baby steps.

Most of the people he hangs with: 1.bp.blogspot.com

(His "fuck buddy" is the one with the belly. The young ones are his retarded son and his daughter-in-law.)

Given this new criteria, I guess Keith A-BLOW going to have Clinton considered for Sainthood, no?

NO? You mean there's a double-standard? Quell Surprise!!

So we could have Obama and Michelle as the only non-adulterous couple in the race?

Well, they do like swingers in northern Florida.

If their adultery is a plus as the article claims, will Callista be First Lady or First Mistress?

So I guess the whole part about making a sacred vow and then breaking it repeatedly means nothing? He laid it out straight to his wives after cheating on them for lengthy periods of time in secret and that gives him bonus points for being blunt?

I sometimes think the world couldn't be any crazier, but it really is.

Well she can't be the First Mistress and I doubt she'll ever be the First Lady. And if she was aware of what Noot was doing to his former wife I wouldn't even call her a Lady at all.

Newt is going to tell you all how to live your lives and how your marriage should be, but those words don't apply to himself. Only you.

The Base responds well to authoritarians and authoritarianism. A big part of it is The Fear.
