Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Thursday, January 19, 2012

Arguing that momentum was on his side after a delayed announcement of victory in Iowa, Rick Santorum sought to weaken rivals Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich with a series of direct attacks in the last South Carolina debate ahead of the state's primary on Saturday, while Ron Paul at times was so overlooked by the CNN moderator that the crowd demanded he get time to speak.

There can be only one, Highlander!

So, 63 percent of likely South Carolina Republican primary voters don't want Willard?

I'm predicting a HUGE comeback for Herman "Call me Stephen Colbert" Cain.

"Nein!, Nein!, Nein!"

At least we won't have to listen to a drugged out Diane Sawyer and her bizarre coffee table talk.

'When you are sitting around the coffee table at night talking about public funds for transgender diapers purchases....'

I wonder if they'll copy Fox's wonderful questions along the lines of "Mr. Perry, would you also like an opportunity to trash Ron Terrorist-loving Paul?"

I'm looking forward to the question,

"Mr Rmoney, is it true that you had 5 great-grandmothers on your Mexican born father's side, you know, the wives of the famous Mexican turncoat polygamist?"

"And can we have your birth certificate along with your tax returns?"

Rmoney needs to come out in a pimp hat throwing 100$ bills to the crowd.

Gingrich ought to address Flipper as "Willard".

Gingrich ought to address Flipper as "Willard".

Which one is "Flipper"? I can't keep up with the silly names you children keep coming up with.

Should be another great debate--more time with one less candidate.

You really, really, really have to see this if you haven't, from last night's Repor(t)... hilarious!

He said today he's not going to say anything negative about Marianne and referred to his daughters letter to ABC.

CNN will manage to ask something though.

Betcha' CNN asks the Marianne question--like where was Ginger?

Newt'll be spreading some tough love to Rmoney tonight, baby!

Paul and Rick S may be caught in a huge cat fight for numero ono between the Brawlin' Leveraged Buy-Out Artist Known as Mitt and the Fightin' Lobbyist Extraordinaire.

Maybe we'll find out if Calvin was correct...

"Mitt Romney As Doll

Yes, Mitt's so slick of speech and slick of garb, he
Reminds us all of Ken, of Ken and Barbie --

He may, like Ken, be lacking genitalia"

Not again!

You could get the Israelis and Palestinians to kiss and make up with fewer debates than this.

I got the scoop, so no bold type....

Bwahahaha, hilarious

I heard they will go further in detail on Iran.

Paul has the same tie on as Monday's debate

CNN tries to make this into the Superbowl. All they need is cheerleaders.

WTF? The national anthem? LOL. Democracy as Spectacle.

What a bunch of zombies. It's like Jesus camp in that room.

Murph, if Ron Paul didn't have handlers, he would wander around in his pj's.

LOL at intros! Santorum, Romney: we're family men!

Gosh, who do you think they're needling?

What did I say!!

First question about Marianne to Newt..

At the end will they sing, "There she is, Miss America"?

And the crowd eats up the Newt smack down!

WHAM....Slap him in the MOUTH!

Lol again. No denial from Gingrich.

Well I guess there won't be any more questions on this topic.

Newt puts the smack down on the media

I love it.

Ohh!! Protecting Obama!

Hahahaha. Bash CNN Newt. Turn a liability into a virtue. He loves America too much to put up with this from the liberal media.

No one has ever been better at blaming the Press for their personal problems than Newt.

Asking Newt a question about his personal life is as despicable an act as he can imagine?

Just in case anyone had doubts about his narcissism...

King just shart his panties.

Oh my gosh--John King is getting paid by Obama--or ABC.

Now he goes down the line--to ask what they think.

What a flipping' bastard!

Thanks Mitt--well said.

Corporations running the media--Go Ron!

Ask Santorum about his wife's antediluvian fetish.

No one has ever been better at blaming the Press for their personal problems than Newt.

How about the pension funds he drained leaving retirees dependent on the US taxpayers?

Santorum is a filthy liar. Obama is not cutting funds for veterans. What a God damned liar.

Danni, I should have added: His mother was 1/4 Indian (as you can tell in the picture). Those people wallowed in money.

Listen to all the Republicans weep over cutting even a single dollar from our military. Unbelievable.

The states should take over Fed responsibility for the military veterans?

Uh-huh.

Maybe. Konawa (Seminole county) Oklahoma, dust bowl years.

I've got a similar picture of my farming grandparents. What the Dannis of this world don't realize is that a lot of our ancestors pulled themselves up on their own without the benefit of the federal government or any other nanny state. It runs through our genes and that's why we will continue to fight the ever burgeoning nanny state that is destructive of this once great country.

Muffy's doing pretty well typing with one hand. Let's hope the batteries make it through the broadcast.

Listen to all the Republicans weep over cutting even a single dollar from our military. Unbelievable.

They are cutting from the wrong parts. Close foreign bases would be a start.

McCain scoulded the senate for the last DoD bill that had over 100 million in waste and dead projects dropped into it by Reid.

Goatman's picture is an example of how Americans lived before we started the evil Democratic regulations which brought higher wages, social security, etc.

Actually, it is more representative of what times were like during the depression and dust bowl Oklahoma, danni. They were doing better before that.

But thank you for the dramatic and politically spun interpretation suggesting that they owe the governement -- not themselves and hard work and desire to overcome -- credit for their later better times. If my hardworking and very independent grandmother were still alive, I'd let her know you think her lot in life was improved solely by the government.

LOL

You suck, danni

"What the Dannis of this world don't realize is that a lot of our ancestors pulled themselves up on their own without the benefit of the federal government or any other nanny state."

If you had become disabled that nanny state would be taking care of your ass right now. And you'd be glad that it was there.

But thank you for the dramatic and politically spun interpretation suggesting that they owe the governement -- not themselves and hard work and desire to overcome -- credit for their later better times.

My grandmother suffers from dementia and other serious health concerns and is being taken care of by Social Security and Medicare. She paid in for decades as the hardest working person I know, and now that she needs constant care, she's getting it thanks to Democrats who fought for a social safety net.

NG--what bee got in your bonnett?

What a completely assinine comment.

" If my hardworking and very independent grandmother were still alive, I'd let her know you think her lot in life was improved solely by the government."

I'd be there laughing at her when she cashed her social security checks and when she took advantage of Medicare while whining about the evil liberals who made it possible. There are millions of folks like you and your mom, you take while whining at the same time. My Grandmother worked every bit as hard as yours but she understood that the benefits she gained under Roosevelt didn't demean her efforts, it just rewarded a lifetime of hard work.

Boo hoo, poor Ron Paul didn't get to talk for 2minutes.

Waaaaaaaaa

Your rig hasn't exploded (yet) because the corporations decided safety wasn't worth spending on.

Really? You, northgay, someone who has never even stepped foot on an offshore oil rig (and probably has never even seen one) is telling me this?

LOL

Can I tell you what your life in the French Fry world is like too, northgay?. OOOPS. I forgot. You live in Michigan where the only gainful employment is being a government lackey in handing out unemployment checks. And you are too stupid to do even that.

Tell me more about my jot and its safety, loser. It's funny stuff. LOL

and now that she needs constant care,

Maybe she should move in with you rcade and your family could take care of her like we did when my grandparents moved in with us. In fact, my grandmother had severe Alzheimers.

" In fact, my grandmother had severe Alzheimers."

Needed here SS check that bad??? That's just wrong.

I'd be there laughing at her when she cashed her social security checks and when she took advantage of Medicare while whining about the evil liberals who made it possible.

I'm not sure what benefits you are talking about, danni. Please tell me about them. You obviously know some things about my grandmother I do not.

I do know she got a teacher's pensionfrom cooking in the school cafeteria for 40 years. Are you suggesting that even though that was a deal of her employment she should have refused it?

As I said, you suck, danni.

Maybe she should move in with you rcade and your family could take care of her like we did when my grandparents moved in with us.

She lives at home with my mother. The costs of the medical and nursing care she requires at home, and the procedures she's needed in the last three years, couldn't be borne by my family. They're ridiculously high because health providers have one low price for insurers and the government and an astronomical price for people paying directly.

Next time you need an ER, ask for what things like tests and the hospital room would cost you directly if an insurer didn't pay them.

=thanks to Democrats who fought for a social safety net.

The people in those pictures, which I din't open, if they were in South Texas they and their children benefited from LBJ bringing them electricity when no one else would.

MATSOP just so you know, that was only a joke. I respect you for taking care of your grandmother.

"As I said, you suck, danni."

Can't handle the truth. The elders from the depression benefited greatly from the benefits passed by Democrats, like it or not.

She paid in for decades as the hardest working person I know, and now that she needs constant care, she's getting it thanks to Democrats who fought for a social safety net.

So? She paid into it and you think the government is somehow a super special angel because they are kind enough to give some of it back? Are you really that beholden to the governmenty, rcade that you have to spit thanks at them for giving back what you (or your grandmother) put in?

I just spent 8 years taking care of my elderly parents and it was an experience I would not have wanted to miss. My father had dementia and he had purchased long term care insurance years before so when we had to put him in managed care the government didn't pay a dime other that the SS that he and my mother had paid into all their working lives..

any of these cats have any military experience - or is that passe these daze -

who would be able to protect the world's one percent (thanks yougogurt) against the axis of evil?

Forget the debate, everyone go to Justin sports and watch UW vs. Cal.

If you know some "truth" of my grandmother's life I'm unaware of, tell me about it and quit pretending that you do, danni

Rick looking like the ankle biter..

Romney--Mitt--you have NOT lived in the streets of America!!

Santorum's getting down and dirty now.

All gloves are apparently off.

I can hear Diane Sawyer now, 'When you are sitting around your coffee table in the evening, what does your discussion about elderly care sound lie?

Willard grew up in the gritty, mean streets of America. He's the kind of street-fighter we need.

She paid into it and you think the government is somehow a super special angel because they are kind enough to give some of it back?

I'm thankful that people like the presidential wanna-bes on stage tonight haven't gotten their wish to kill the programs my grandmother relies on.

Exactly! That's why Santorum's constant babble about how everyone should have their own "Health Savings Accounts" is an absolute joke. As if 95% of people could manage to save enough money to even begin to cover the cost of care for a heart attack and needed rehab and other major health issues and needed operations. What a fool.

Mitt - price of gas doubled....shit the price increase during 2005 to $4 plus was just the first iceburg this titantic hit before the big crash...

Right. It is completely impossible for a middle class American with a family to pay the health care costs they will require over their lifetime, no matter how much they save.

I have to say I enjoy the kind of devilish little grin on Gingrich's face. You have to admit he's an excellent speaker and looks as though he's getting a real kick out of the whole debate.

And don't start bashing me. That doesn't mean I'd vote for him, I'm just sayin'.

In 1961, Gingrich graduated from Baker High School in Columbus, Georgia. He became interested in politics during his teen years while living in Orléans, France, where he visited the site of the Battle of Verdun and learned about the sacrifices made there and the importance of political leadership.[10] Gingrich avoided the Vietnam War draft through deferments because he was a student and then a father. It was one of the best and most instructive times of my life. My youngest brother slept in the same bedroom as my grandmother. He essentially took it on himself for being responsible for her. He would run directly home from school to be with her and take care of her. It really hurt him when she passed away.

Those Ponzi schemes will die a merciful death on their own.

People have been predicting the collapse of Social Security for the entire 82-year history of the program. It's still here and there's no reason it can't be here for the foreseeable future, unless it gets killed by Republicans so they can use the money for more corporate handouts and to prop up the obscenely bloated military.

Roosevelt's critics foresaw then it was an unsustainable Ponzi or pyramid scheme. The timing may be unpredictable, but not the outcome. With debts piling up by the trillions, SS payouts are starting to eat into general revenues. SS is now in negative cash flow. It'll probably last long enough to take care of your grandmother. As for you. Forget about it.

ABC tried a smear on Newt and ended up looking ever more biased than everyone already knows.

ACTUALLY, the moronic hordes of liberal fed minds in this country for a split second had the curtains pulled back on what they are trying to do. They have had 3 years of liberalism, and the only thing that hasn't woken them up is 0bama's lies of pumping up the stock market by destroying the dollar, then lying about inflation, not counting gas or food! They are about to do QE3 with another trillion which will seal the deal. Prepare!

"First of all, Bush (as I recollect) didn't try "to take out Social Security"---he had a different methodology of funding it. Riiight. Republicans know as well as I do that SS is well funded until approximately 2035 without any changes to the current law. With minor tweaks to the current tax law we could make it solent indefinitely.
We need to work on Medicare but it is bull shit to pretend SS is in any trouble.

Roosevelt's critics foresaw then it was an unsustainable Ponzi or pyramid scheme.

Those criticisms from the 1930s are so old they qualify for Social Security.

Destroy SS whereas the method and way it is set up now won't be destroyed?

Maybe some tweaking will help.

But congress has put in IOU in the trust fund.

ABC did Newt an enormous favor. They asked the question up front, so it wouldn't hang over the entire debate, and it gave Newt a chance to gin up right-wing hatred of the media as a way to dodge a question about his serial adultery. It was masterful bullshit by Gingrich, something that we can look forward to a lot of if he knocks off Romney.

You have fallen into the trap of believing our growth in beneficiary population will grow indefinitely, it won't, it actually drops back down below the birth rate after the boomers generation passes through. Social security is not a pyramid scheme or a ponzi scheme:

"First, in the case of Social Security, no one is being misled," Zuckoff wrote in a January 2009 article in Fortune. "...Social Security is exactly what it claims to be: A mandatory transfer payment system under which current workers are taxed on their incomes to pay benefits, with no promises of huge returns."

Second, he wrote, "A Ponzi scheme is unsustainable because the number of potential investors is eventually exhausted. That's when the last people to participate are out of luck; the music stops and there's nowhere to sit. It's true that Social Security faces a huge burden â€" and a significant, long-term financing problem â€" in light of retiring Baby Boomers. … But Social Security can be, and has been, tweaked and modified to reflect changes in the size of the taxpaying workforce and the number of beneficiaries. It would take great political will, but the government could change benefit formulas or take other steps, like increasing taxes, to keep the system from failing."

You should be intellectually honest---Bush wanted to change how the social security dollars would be invested. I don't know Bush's thoughts about dismantling SS just as I don't know Obama's thoughts about how he plans on dismantling America through his Alinsky techniques. Furthermore, I personally didn't support Bush's ideas (and not because he was going to dismantle SS---which he wasn't) but because I didn't think the funds should be risked in a volatile private market.

Obama will have no problem with any of these fools...

"but because I didn't think the funds should be risked in a volatile private market."

Exactly right. Also, how could his plan ever have worked? If SS payees start diverting their payments into private accounts, who pays the benefits for the current recipients? That one problem caused most people to realize that whole concept was logically flawed.

#203 -- shh matsop. The dull one is dancing for me. I've been enjoying his show. Let's watch it continue.

I don't know Bush's thoughts about dismantling SS...

During his first presidential campaign, Bush accepted HUGE donations from Wall Street on the promise he do all he could to privatize Social Security since the Wall Street boys knew the general public would be sending that now privatized SS money saved to them in the form of investments in mutual funds, stocks, etc.

Can you imagine if Bush had been successful and everyone's money was not kept safely accrued in their Social Security deductions to collect on when they retired, but instead invested with Wall Street when the Bush economy collapsed in October 2008? Those folks wouldn't have a penny today as those individual SS savings accounts Bush wanted them to have would've been entirely wiped out.

That's the GOP for ya. Always looking out for the average working guy's best interests. Riiiiight.

Right-wingers who believe Obama can't debate obviously didn't watch him in 2008. He handled Hillary Clinton, who was an excellent and knowledgeable opponent with a steady stream of facts and rhetoric at her command, and he'd be an equal or better debater than Gingrich.

On the issue of debates. The expectation is that Newt will mop the floor with Obama.

I will say Obama is a B on his best day debating.

And to remind folks--the debates--although very informative and sometimes entertaining--do not --generally change minds and hearts to vote for that winner of the debate. Folks were saying Kerry won the debates but did not translate to winning the election.

When Bush 1 looked at his watch--that was fatal. But were it not for Perot--Bush would have won.

Other than Reagan v. Carter debate--that changed minds.

Probably the Nixon Kennedy debate had some votes change. But the election was so close due to Illinois shinanigans--Nixon should have waited for a recount.

Could you imagine that if Nixon had not conceded--the cheating or irregularities in Illinois would have been uncovered and Noxon might have won.

JFK might still be alive.

What folks? The media or the supposed experts but none of the general mainstreet public was making such a claim.

The difference is people like you have to be told who won the debate instead of understanding it is not about winning but about how ones gets ideas and character out to the population.

Very few people like kerry at all but those who tried to push him just would see any of this. It is kind of like now, very few people actually like romney but the republican media marketers will hear nothing of it. Romney being elected as the republican is to surely put obama back in the white house as much as kerry was for bush.

That happened after he chatted with the sixth-graders in a separate classroom -- with no teleprompters.

I don't give a shit about the teleprompters, if they have to use them it tells me they are not worthy of the position. They can't think on their feet and shows a lack of understanding as to what is going on in america.

Reagan was great in the aspect of not letting questions asked outside the realm of what he was addressing, he shouldn't have to bone up on all the things going on around the country to have a press conference on a particular subject.

My pleasure, Matsop.

Scroll down about half way down this first link until you see this heading and then read the article:

Wall Street and Press Lies About Social Security

Here's another link in which you'll find the excerpt below about a third of the way down:

"A 2005 Item: "Social Security Privatization"

Among President Bush's biggest campaign promises in 2000 was a plan to privatize Social Security. Although a sluggish stock market has kept it as just a promise, Social Security privatization remains high on the President's priority list.

"It is a 2005 item," says Michael Tanner, director of the project on Social Security at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank and champion of Social Security privatization. "We expect the President to raise the issue as the campaign goes forward. I think the feeling is that once the election is over, in terms of domestic priorities, this is number one."

In his 2003 State of the Union Address, for example, Bush said, "As we continue to work together to keep Social Security strong and reliable, we must offer younger workers a chance to invest in retirement accounts that they will control and they will own."

This is exactly what the financial institutions that have donated significant sums of money to both of Bush's presidential campaigns want to hear. While anti-government ideologues like Tanner may advocate for Social Security privatization because they simply don't like entitlement programs, big financial institutions like Social Security privatization for simpler reasons. More private investment spells more lucrative commission and account management fees for financial conglomerates.

"We are talking tens of billions of dollars a year in fees and commissions," says Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that opposes Social Security privatization. "Privatization just drains money away for the financial sector." ....

And, lastly, here's another excerpt from an article back in 2005 from the Washington Post-- although there are dozens more out there -- that specifically talks about Wall Street's management fees for handling privatized SS savings accounts

Okay, need to get going. Want to wash my hair before "Nightline" comes on : )

Matsop --

Sorry, dropped the last link in my #233. Here it is --

The Politics of Social Security

Under that plan [Bush's privatization of SS] , workers could invest as much as 2.5 percent of their earnings -- or about 40 percent of their share of Social Security taxes -- in private accounts, which Goolsbee anticipates would be managed by private investment firms once their balances reach $5,000. He estimated that annual management fees would be 0.8 percent, a conservative figure, he said, considering that management fees across the spectrum of mutual funds average 1.09 percent.

The result: Over 75 years, fees would total $940 billion, more than a quarter of the $3.7 trillion deficit the Social Security system will run over that time period. That would be the largest windfall in U.S. financial history, Goolsbee said, more than eight times the revenue loss that Wall Street suffered during the 2000-02 stock market collapse....

He's a joke with the teleprompter--even Stewart joked about it.
He's to the point of being silly.
Get over yourself.

Presidents have been using teleprompters for more than half a century, but none have relied on them as extensively as Obama has so far. While presidents typically have used them for their most important speeches â€" an inaugural, State of the Union or Oval Office address â€" Obama uses them for routine announcements and even for the opening statement of his only news conference so far.

He used them during a visit to a Caterpillar plant in Peoria, Ill. He used them to make brief remarks opening his "fiscal responsibility summit." He used them to discuss endangered species, even recalling a visit to national parks as an 11-year-old. "That was an experience I will never forget," he said, reading from the teleprompter.

Either way, GOATMAN lied. He didn't use the teleprompter to address the students.

Gingrich's answer to his affair was ludicrous. This is the guy who said he "only got oral sex" so he could say he wasn't cheating. At the same time he was pillioring Clinton for the same thing.

Gingrich had a 6 year affair with Callista while he was married to his 2nd wife. What kind of schmuck does that and asks his wife for an 'open marriage'?

He's too busy playing golf and basketball to study and memorize his press talks. I guess.

It's no big deal to use the thing--it's just Obama uses it all the time.

And when he doesn't he stumbles, er, uh, uh, uh, um all over the place.

But Nicolle Wallace, another former Bush communications director who worked for Sen. John McCain last year, said Obama should stick with success.

"I'd say for a guy known around the world for being as effective as he is at communicating, he shouldn't change a thing," Wallace said.

You said Obama used teleprompter in front of the students for "a few minutes". That is patently false. You then use John Stewarts use of teleprompter in the class room. Only he wasn't criticizing Obama for using teleprompters in front of students - only that he used them and the Presidential podium simply in the classroom - not in front of the students like you said - simply in the classroom.

If you actually watched the video you would see the photographers in front of Obama. If you looked at the picture in the link I provided you would see Obama sitting down with the students - no teleprompter and no podium.

Get your shit straight.

That is patently false.

Feel better?

Again, the headline in the huffpo:

Jon Stewart Mocks Obama For Using Teleprompter In Sixth Grade Classroom

Those sleazy fucking liars.

If by trickle up you are referring to social programming? Then yes, social programming does work in keeping the vast majority of its participants off the street and fed. Although it is abused and could benefit reform - just like any other facet of government - the programs do what they are intended - shelter and sustenance.

#265 | POSTED BY GOATMAN

No you're moving the goal posts. I will post you're statement one last time. Be sure to read it carefully now:

No, I'm no kidding, Murph. Obama actually used teleprompters to talk to a sixth grade class for a few minutes.
#231 | POSTED BY GOATMAN

The bold print is false. Should you have said "talk in a sixth grade class" you would be correct.

Small detail makes it a fucking LIE!

Ask Santorum about his wife's antediluvian fetish.

#38 | Posted by RexZeitgeist

I dont know what's more impressive. That you even know what antediluvian means or exists, or that you found a way to use it in a sentence. You must have been waiting for years to use that word. I had to look it up...

Alas, good job..(Golf clap)

Trickle up poverty works then??
HA!
Obama hates economic freedom--he hates capitalsim and free markets.
He believes the gov't should take care of everything for everyone--take from the people who do work and earn and give it to those who don't.
And it's not just the safety net programs--which we as a society do agree there is a need.
He plays identity policitics--this group against that group--like the green eco freaks against the union reds or against the worker browns.
He's horrible and we can't afford 4 more years with this guy as POTUS.

If you ask the CBO, yes, trickle up works.

The rest of your rant is hyperbole and lies.

Small detail makes it a fucking LIE!

???

Really? That is what has your panties in a wad? That I used the wrong preposition? LOL

Go in (or is it "to"?) the petty bullshit room with dan "5 months isn't 22 weeks" forth.

You suddenly went from oddly contrived to outrageously hilarious in one post.

OK. I lied. I said "to" instead of "in". You win. You got yourself a huge victory there, stud. Go high five yourself in the mirror.

I love this place.

So Mitt now looks dreadful.

Gingerich looks better for the national election but looks terrible in the primaries with social values voters.

Is Santorum or Paul the real winner?

John Fugelsang: "Mitt Rmoney is not a flip-flopper. He's been a human windsock his entire life."

John Fugelsang: "Newt Gingrich couldn't find the high ground with a Sherpa."

I love this place.

You know damn well the difference in context is huge. You insinuated to Murphy that Obama needed teleprompters to adress a class of sixth graders. That carries far more weight in your favor than Obama used teleprompters to address media in a 6th grade classroom.

If you can't recognize the significance of that distinction, now you can. You're welcome.

You know damn well the difference in context is huge.

Yes it is a difference. I admitted I missed it. It was an honest mistake, but if you want to call it a LIE, go for it. My life doesn't change.

I admitted the mistake. I'll even call it a lie just to give you a chubby. Do you want a cash prize too or what?

If there is a cash prize, don't give it to a elderly black woman to pay her electric bill.

That would be racist.

Marianne knew exactly what Gingrich was asking for.

Y'all are stuck with two candidates with a lot of baggage. Gingrich with the obvious ones - including his expulsion from Congress - and Romney with his extremely out of touch 1% mentality.

Good luck!! You're going to need it. It won't be enough though.

And what would you like on your sandwich, dear? LOL

#189 | Posted by CalifChris at 2012-01-19 10:02 PM

lmao

At least someone can take a joke around here.

Gingrich is such an organizational mess he failed to get on the Virginia ballot and he just opened his first office in Florida this week! -- #214 | Posted by rcade

The other candidates would be in the same, uh, boat if they were as serious about learning everything they could about the Greek financial crisis.

Couldn't bear to sit through the entire, tedious, predictable, sad-clown fest, but what I did see of last night's "debate" (and I came in as it started) makes me almost sympathize with those GOPers who after putting up with these train-wreck candidates for so long find themselves now yearning for a brokered convention.

"He's a disaster to this economy because he doesn't understand economic freedom and doesn't care to learn it because of his ideology." Yeah, he trashed the excellent economy he inherited from Bush. I try not to be mean to you Murphy but some of your posts are so God damned stupid I can't help it. If you just said nothing about Obama's handling of the economy that would be fine but to go on and on as if we can't read the newspaper and see jobs are being created, stock market is back up, GDP is growing, etc. You sound a bit crazy lately, I guess the disappointment with your Republican choices must be getting to you.

"The other candidates would be in the same, uh, boat if they were as serious about learning everything they could about the Greek financial crisis."

Unbelievable! That is worse than "the dog ate my homework." Hilarious.

The children were restless,
thrashing about in their beds,
While visions of Chris Christie and Mitch Daniels
tormented their heads

We want The Donald!

Yes, Obama is a genuis. What good news do you attribute to Obama, exactly?

Jobs: 5.6 mill lost since end of 2008.
Stock Market: Up 4,623 since Jan 2009.
GDP: Up 1.9% since 2008.

Fun smack down piece on Scrotorum

Ayatollah Santorum the Sanctimonious ASS

Looks like the GOP got it down to 2...

The magic underwear man or porky pig....

GOP doesn't want OLD PAUL....

Santorum religious crap won't sell to 75% of the voters...

So magic romney will win it...for the GOP...

Obama 4 more years....

"or porky pig...."

Damn, there goes the Orthodox Jewish vote, again.

#288 | POSTED BY TONTONMACOUTE

I wonder who got the Orthodox Jew vote in 2008? Could it have been Porky Palin?

Couldn't resist.

Indeed! He is not the son of natural born us citizens. Therefore, like Obama, ineligble to POUS.

who knows for sure who was the daddy...Bet you don't know who's your daddy?

Next time you need an ER, ask for what things like tests and the hospital room would cost you directly if an insurer didn't pay them.

#82 | Posted by rcade at 2012-01-19 08:49 PM | Reply |

If nobody had insurance you can damn sure bet they wouldn't cost near what they charge because of insurance.

Tell ya what. Look up the definition of insurance. It's a myth.

Exactly! That's why Santorum's constant babble about how everyone should have their own "Health Savings Accounts" is an absolute joke. As if 95% of people could manage to save enough money to even begin to cover the cost of care for a heart attack and needed rehab and other major health issues and needed operations. What a fool.

#101 | Posted by CalifChris at 2012-01-19 09:01 PM |

If people had health savings accounts and high deductible policies most people would be far better off than the 5 dollar co pay run to the doctor everytime you fart sideways society we have today.

My sister was born in a hospital in 1955. A three day stay, less than 50 bucks.

What's that cost today?

Right. It is completely impossible for a middle class American with a family to pay the health care costs they will require over their lifetime, no matter how much they save.

Man, you're a trip. Read what you wrote. Who exactly is going to pay for it, dumbo?

the look on john kings face was worth watching the debate...
you got schooled fool....
AND the 'funny' part is....he made newt look better than he might on his own...

Before President Bush was elected in 2000 I believed all the political talk in America about attacking Iraq was posturing.

I will not make that assumption anymore in regard to talk from the Republican candidates about wanting to attack Iran if elected in 2012.

In the twentieth century American leaders used to state the business of America is business. Now it seems they believe that the business of America is war.

Prolly a good call.

Seriously, if the GOP take the executive branch you will see America at war with Iran within the next 4 years.

In the twentieth century American leaders used to state the business of America is business. Now it seems they believe that the business of America is war.

It got the fiercest lobby in DC and it's the only part of America's once massive manufacturing base that cannot be outsourced for security reasons so yeah, it is increasingly looking like that, isn't it?

[donnotwant.jpg]

Be Well.

There is no risk of the USA getting involved in Iran except for the Navy to keep the Straits open. Israel will be doing the dirty work and it will be all air and over in a few days. The USN, of course will remain
