Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Actor Mark Wahlberg told Men's Journal magazine that things would have turned out differently if he had kept the plans that put him on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. "If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did," he said. "There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry."

Wahlberg was just expressing what he wished had happened, I don't blame the guy.

Somebody needs to remind Wahlberg that that thirteen-inch dick in Boogie Nights was a prop.

Uhh, no you wouldn't have Marky Mark...because if you had, they would have shot that fucker down just like they did Flight 93.

LOL!

Dumb fuck was just channelling another actor who lived in a fantasy world where he actually did what he pretended to do inf ront of the camera. Too many cop show gigs for Mark, apparently.

Hell most of the idiots in Hollywood would have apologized for George Bush, helped the terrorists break the cockpit door and thanked the terrorists for killing 3,000 infidels.

Wahlberg went on to say: I'm pretty sure I could've saved the flight on my own, but it would've been a sure thing if I had Zatoichi and Danforth with me.

Scatforth would have been fishing for turds in the bathroom.

"fishing for turds in the bathroom.'

Well, hopefully, you'll be nearby to do your famous squirt-by-squirt description, chumpy.

The hijackers told everyone if they'll sit still they will be OK.

Everyone on flight 93 knew this was a lie, so they took matters into their own hands. This act of patriotism saved people on the ground, but not themselves.

Wahlberg has no idea what he would've done with his children on board. He's full of shit, which is not unusual.

Wahlberg sounds like most of the gun-nuts here.

Had we a verifiable idiots with 80 IQs instead of simply a cabal of subversives in charge, there is no doubt we could have prevented 9-11.

Every common sense protection we as a nation had was disrupted and taken down specifically that day, and we even intentionally had mock exercise that amounted to "9-11 this is only a drill" to sideline those not in the know.

(translation) Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...

Hind sight is 20/20. We all have to remember pre 911 most terrorist that took control of a plane did not plan on killing themselves and everyone else on the plane. Pre 911 the smart move would have been a wait and see approach at least until the plane landed. Now days is different. I'd like to imagine that the first mother fucker that attempts to take over a plane would have his body ripped to shreeds.

Mr. Wahlberg Is Unwittingly Protecting The Conspirators With His Braggadocio.

9/11 Was An Inside Job.
Get A Clue, Reich-Wingers.

Be Well.

If you knew Mark, you would know he is the real deal. He should not have said what he said, the way he said it, but if pushed he would have taken control of that plane.

where is your evidence!

He should not have said what he said, the way he said it, but if pushed he would have taken control of that plane.

With a modified Cooper Mini to boot.

If you knew Mark, you would know he is the real deal. He should not have said what he said, the way he said it, but if pushed he would have taken control of that plane.

And who are you who just joined today to defend Wahlberg? His agent?

Oh God. Our resident "fight the Hollywood cartel" warrior is present.

What your point is...?

No I'm a 33 year police detective who had the pleasure to meet mark when he came to the aid of an elderly lady who had been robbed by street thugs.

And you joined today to defend "Mark" and tell us about him saving lttle old ladies. Ok. That's probably good enough for JPW.

Don't flatter yourself whitetrashinternetwarrior.

My upholding you as the epitome of stupidity is not a compliment.

That's probably good enough for JPW.

Swing and a miss.

Yea, why can't Marky Mark be like that real true Hollywood hero John Wayne who single handedly won all kinds of wars in the movies. I'll bet he was a slam-bang soldier in real life too.

#1 Rex...

Wow... you and I actually agree here... (stings a bit don't it?)...

I feel Marky Mark (who I have no love/hate for) was just projecting his frustration and feelings of helplessness, feelings we all felt, in a fantasized version of "what could have happened" if we were there, knowing what we all know now... hell, I am guilty of that...

When one is helpless and has no control, one fantasizes that one does, or could have...

Unfortunately the people on those planes couldn't have known what was to be, therefore the bavado Wahlberg speaks of would have been unthinkable, because we could never have foreseen the kind of horror that was to unfold...

So, though he sounds like a dipshit for voicing said fantasies, I think most of us here have, at least, entertained these same thoughts ourselves...

Awful lot of butt-hurt here over a People Magazine quote.
Okay, sure it's Men's Journal, not People, but who are we kidding?

I'm sure most of us had a similar thought, or wish, when we learned what happened that day.

Wahlberg's mistake?
Saying it for a publication...and therefore opening himself up for the obvious crucifixion to come, followed by the obligatory apology.

PR. Blah blah blah.

But, hey, if this thread served us in any way, it was that it provided a platform for PanTheCon to make himself look like a fucking idiot...again.

Maybe. Maybe. Yeah, maybe. But, well, I kept it anyway, just in case, well, y'know.
~ Mark "Carlos Ray Norris, Pfffft!" Wahlberg

Wahlberg would never had the chance as the plane had no passengers.

BB

"Wahlberg's mistake?"

Being an assclown who believes he's the person he plays in movies.

Wahlberg went on to say: I'm pretty sure I could've saved the flight on my own, but it would've been a sure thing if I had Zatoichi and Danforth with me.

What would he do with a zit and a fart?

Another george reeves moment. I bet mark can fly too.

More media hype. Whats he trying to make a new movie or something. Its the liberal crap from holloywood that caused them to want to blow up the towers in the first place. No one on board knew it was anything but a hyjacking he would have done nothing but talk to his agent on the phone.....

This non-story has really become a story for some reason. He was simply woofing shit. It's not offensive given that everyone knows what he said was simply wishful thinking/boasting.

Ann Coulter was right about those 911 widows. Those cunts will say anything to try and extend their 15 minutes...Let's Roll (TM)!

I dont agree...he just has the means to be heard..I think anyone who thinks about that shit also thinks about what they might do if faced with the same...but you still cant discount completely the hollywood male ego, at the same time...

Wahlberg is a pilot?

Because if I remember right, they killed the Pilots. Is he claiming he would have landed an airliner? Somebody has been playing Flight Simulator X a little too much.

This is one the dumbest things I've ever read on the DR.

"Because if I remember right, they killed the Pilots. Is he claiming he would have landed an airliner? Somebody has been playing Flight Simulator X a little too much."

I think he's saying he would have stopped them as soon as they started acting up. Given that everyone now knows that letting these turds control the plane equals death, there is no way five or six scumbags with boxcutters would be able to take over a plane now. They'd be ripped limb from limb. But back then general wisdom was to let them do their thing until such time as the plane is on the ground.

"Given that everyone now knows that letting these turds control the plane equals death, there is no way five or six scumbags with boxcutters would be able to take over a plane now."

Are you kidding? Today you couldn't take over a plane with an AK-47. Seventy people with nothing to lose will beat you to death using barf bags.

Hasn't anyone told Wahlberg the plane didn't exist? He needs to read the DR more often. What a goof.

Yet, that is exactly what happened on Flight 77. Barbara Olson was told by her husband that two other planes had been hijacked and flown into the Towers. Flight 77 had a lot of military personel on board, but none of them tried to stop the hijacking, knowing they were flying towards certain death. They didn't even try to call their loved ones.

Believe it, or not.

Uhh, no you wouldn't have Marky Mark...because if you had, they would have shot that fucker down just like they did Flight 93.

They allegedly released that fighter pilot after years of incarceration, btw. More DOD secrets.

Preferably full barf bags. Made me laugh dude, thanks.

Any such event (9-11 etc) was orchestrated on behalf of only those who benefited from the event. That's why motive has always been a decisive factor in unraveling crimes. Those that lose have no motive. Why would anyone plan and create an event that will not aid or abet the planner?

If one were to plan and rob a bank, the only goal would be to get rich or get power. Who exactly was it that got rich or got power off of 9-11?

I've got all the confidence in the world that Dirk Diggler would have jacked his pork sword off to full attention and beat those rotten terrorists right over the head with it. Then he would have used it to steer that plane to a safe landing. Tommy Lee would be proud!
