Does it interfere with the right to carry arms publicly? No, if I have my carry permit. But what if I'm on my own property? Do they have the right to 'scan' me?

Doesn't seem much more invasive than a metal detector you'd find at any public courthouse or airport.

No foul, no penalty.

At least until the squirrels in the National Parks start using them to ferret out the pants pissers.

There is nothing you can do to prevent it. Prepare to be scanned at all times. Welcome to the new order.

If you are a cop about to stop a person or group of people doing something questionable, wouldn't it be nice to know if any of them are armed? That kind of information could save lives.

Aren't the gun nuts always complaining about criminals having guns? This kind of think could actually do something about that, couldn't it?

After all, if you have nothing to hide, what of it?

I can think of a lot of places they could set these up. Football games where beer is sold. Outside of late night liquor stores and suspected crack houses. Know gathering spots of 'criminal elements'.

Would it be profiling if you scanned EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE?

No, it would be a progressive utopia.

Here comes the nude bomb.

Someones gonna release an infra red app for the droid, or maybe just turn on every webcam possible - like the ones in the TV boxes*.

#6. I'll bet your right

I guess it wouldn't be a concealed carry any longer.

Gun heater holsters. Get the temp of the gun up to body temp and the image is gone

Doesn't seem much more invasive than a metal detector you'd find at any public courthouse or airport.

No foul, no penalty.

Except you have no choice in whether you're subjected to it.

Tell me, do you say "thank you" after every lube-less ass fuck or is this pathetic whimpering the extent of your reaction?

After all, if you have nothing to hide, what of it?

You're pathetic.

I'm sure if he chose to, Hans could find posts where you ridiculed Repubs for using this same lame excuse.

I guess it wouldn't be a concealed carry any longer.

Absolutely correct.

What's also interesting is if this is superior and less invasive why hasn't it been used by military? I want to know the risks of exposure - we have ZERO data on how this thing actually ticks. For all we know it's multi-componant, the other half is irradiating at targets up to 30 feet away. Either way, I absolutely do not trust the police - not without cameras on their weapons.

Can it be deployed within CCTV?

I want to know the risks of exposure.

Spud and all.

Went to wiki to go look up terahertz imaging technology and then realized that the site was still black.

Dang.

*makes mental note to send Jimmy Wales a tenner soon*

Be Well.
