Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Lauer pressed Romney on whether there are fair questions on the distribution of wealth.

"I think it's fine to talk about those things in quiet rooms in discussions about tax policy," he said. "The president has made this part of his campaign rally. Everywhere he goes we hear him talking about millionaires and billionaires and executives and Wall Street, and it's a very envy-oriented attack-oriented approach, and I think it'll fail."

Quiet room? How about in a democratic open forum? Looks like Willard wants to duck the subject, not surprisingly.

Inequality Should be Discussed in a Quiet Room, says quarter-billionaire.

It won't fail if your response to it is to duck into another room, Willard.

An open question: Does Willard's response to theis question give away that he's elitist, frightened of this topic, stupid, or all three?

I'll go with three. His handlers are going to have to pull a W. on their man and make sure he never has all that much unscripted contact with anyone.

I always thought "Mitt" was a horrible name.

It sounds like baseball mitt, or for the lefties: catcher's mitt.

His first name is Willard?

That name just conjures up bad memories of a movie about rats - not a bad movie, just disturbing.

Makes me think of Willard Scott, just as disturbing.

"That name just conjures up bad memories of a movie about rats - not a bad movie, just disturbing."

The Willard "I love to fire people" Romney campaign is a bad movie about a rat.

Willard is a pig's name. Sounds like Wilbur from Charlotte's web.

"Willard is a pig's name. "

OMFG!!

"Willard is a pig's name. "

So is Slick Willard a pig or a rat?

Ratpig. Like Catdog, but without the soul.

Calling the OWS demand for fairness "envy" and claiming it's Obama's platform. This will backfire, indeed.

Mitt is quite detached. That soulless attitude probably helped him fire the thousands of American working class during the BushCo jobs recession. Did he really pose with money for a professional magazine? Was that inspiring "one nation under God"? What a corporate parasite!

Quarter billionaire thinks Obama talking about wealth inequality is unseemly wealth-envy or something?

Lawls.

Yeah, didn't see that coming./snark>

This man spent 110 million in 2008 (45 of his own money) trying to get a gig that pays 400k a year.

This time he's spending more.

Short of him getting caught with a dead girl or a live boy as the saying goes he *is* gonna be the GOP candidate for 2012.

Dude, yer getting a Dud!

GL w/ that.

Be Well.

NW Flag.

The deletion of his records as governor was complete he even took the hard drives - I imagine this is a pattern he has repeated thoughout all of his, uh, positions. His holdings are all offshore - doesn't that also ring some crazy alert?

Mitt was just quoted saying that he doesn't want to be "too overconfident going into South Carolina". Did he really buy the election? I wonder how likely it would be that those black box voting irregularity machines are going to get caught in flagrante delicto? Would that invalidate the elections and just perpetuate Obama for another term?

he even took the hard drives.

So sayeth the Wiki.

At the end of Romney's term, several of his staffers purchased the hard drives from their state-issued computers, and emails were deleted from the server.[180] The amounts expended purchasing the drives came to nearly $100,000.[181] Under the Massachusetts Public Records Law, the emails did not have to be made public but did have to be preserved.[180] Terry Dolan, who worked as director of administration under Romney and several other governors, has said that scrubbing the servers was a common practice but that selling the hard drives was not.[182] When news of the actions became widely known in 2011, a Romney spokesperson said that the purchase of the computer equipment "complied with the law and longtime executive branch practice."[180] State government officials and aides to Romney's three predecessors as governor said that they did not know of any prior sales of hard drives to staffers.[182][181] When questioned on the subject in 2011, Romney responded that he had not wanted the information to be available to "opposition research teams".[183]

This guy has been running for POTUS for decades now.

White Horse to the White House.

Do Not Want.

Be Well.

Willard wants the discussion to be held at an undisclosed location, the same place his tax records are hidden.
