Hours after it was first reported in the NY Post, Mayor Mike Bloomberg announced he was backing off plans to limit the number of bars and stores that could sell intoxicating beverages.
The city's Health Department was going to work with the "Partnership for a Healthier New York" to dramatically reduce the number of establishments that sell alcohol.

Who knew that by "transformation," they meant a dystopian hellscape where Big Bro Bloomberg tells you what you should or should not be consuming.
