Mitt Romney bagged his second Republican nominating contest of the 2012 election season on Tuesday night, riding to victory in New Hampshire, networks projected. In New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation primary, with 59 percent of the vote in Mitt Romney led with 38 percent, followed by Ron Paul at 24 percent, Jon Huntsman at 17 percent, Rick Santorum at 9.9 percent, Newt Gingrich at 9.8 percent, and Rick Perry at 0.7 percent.

Really hope Huntsman pulls off second place here.

Josh Marshall over at TPM thinks it might happen.

Could Huntsman take second in New Hampshire? Believe it or not, it might be the most likely outcome tomorrow night.

talkingpointsmemo.com

First is a lock for Rmoney, of course.

It'll probably be Paul though.

Anyone but Santorum would be good.

Be Well.

Romney is going to win this. I think the republican base is starting to see all this infighting is only helping Obama. I see a consolidation of the party in the next few weeks. Everyone will get behind Romney.

"Everyone will get behind Romney."

Wishful thinking, there is a significant segment of the GOP who will NEVER get behind Romney. Romney has shown himself to be a cynical political hack with no core beliefs about anything, some Republicans think that is important.

It was dumb strategy for Gingrich, Paul, Santorum and Perry to contest New Hampshire. They should have skipped the state the way Democrats skipped Iowa when local senator Tom Harkin was running for president in 1992. Romney's governorship in neighboring Massachusetts and the political makeup of the state made it impossible for anyone else to win there.

Huntsman, because he skipped Iowa, had to try in New Hampshire.

Wishful thinking, there is a significant segment of the GOP who will NEVER get behind Romney.

The Republicans will eventually get in line behind Romney the way Democrats got behind Kerry -- with as little enthusiasm as humanly possible. Neither of these northeastern patricians are capable of generating passionate support in their party faithful.

(When Kerry gave his nomination speech and was amused by his own joke about being "born in the west wing" of his hospital, I couldn't believe what a total stiff we'd chosen.)

Barring a downturn in the economy, I think the GOP's goose is cooked.

Huntsman, because he skipped Iowa, had to try in New Hampshire.

Huntsman has based his campaign in NH, even so far as to move his hq there. Somewhat of an odd place considering Romney's clout there.

Hopefully he gets an Iowa-like finish like Santorum had.

But then again there is this...

" This Synovate eNation poll, reported in U.S. News, illustrates what a mountain President Obama has to climb to convince voters that he deserves a second term:

In our New Year's poll, when asked what news event they fear most about 2012, Americans by a margin of two-to-one said Obama's reelection. Only 16 percent said they fear the Democrat won't win a second term, while 33 percent said they fear four more years.

Here are the full results:

As we enter the presidential election year of 2012, what potential news event do you fear the most?

President Obama wins reelection: 33%

Taxes will increase: 31%

Iran will get a nuclear weapon: 16%

Obama will lose reelection: 16%

North Korea will attack South Korea: 4%

Tax increases aren’t popular, either. All of which helps to explain how Ron Paul can be running even with Obama."

That poll seems pretty weak to me, if those are the only choices.

It was dumb strategy for Gingrich, Paul, Santorum and Perry to contest New Hampshire. They should have skipped the state... -- #4 | Posted by rcade

Huckabee had an interesting response to that suggestion when asked on "This Week" if he should have skipped NH in 2008: he pointed out that every news organization that had been hunkered down in the snow there would have been running stories about how skipping NH was a sign of weakness, evidence that they weren't national candidates, etc. etc.

"The Republicans will eventually get in line behind Romney the way Democrats got behind Kerry"

Sure. Half-heartedly and with no passion. Seriously, did anyone ever faint in the presence of Kerry?

If Romney prevails I think you will see much more Republican energy go into Congressional races.

Republicans will treat Romney the way they did Dole; meanwhile, holding the House and taking the Senate will be seen as a way to paralyze The Messiah.

And an honest reading of history shows that American government is intended to be in perpetual gridlock.

Personally, I like the idea of the 75 percent who are consistently anti-Romney. It could lead to a brokered convention with an outstanding candidate like Mitch Daniels.

Dixville Notch is in.

Apparently, they like Mormons.

While most polling places in the state didn't open until early Tuesday, the first votes were cast just after midnight in the tiny communities of Dixville Notch and Hart's Location.
In Dixville Notch, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman, the former Utah governor and ambassador to China, tied for the lead with two votes each. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rep. Ron Paul of Texas had one vote apiece.

Be Well.

Crazed Moonbat Michelle Malkin weighs in on the current crop of GOPher hopefuls.

Mitt Romney's chronic flip-flopping political career is teeming with reasons to oppose his nomination - from his support for racial preferences, to government funding of abortion, liberal judges, global warming enviro-nitwittery, TARP, auto bailouts, the Obama stimulus, gun control, and of course, individual health insurance mandates that presaged Obamacare.

Instead of focusing on his long political record of expedience, incompetent non-Romneys have morphed into Michael Moore propagandists - throwing not just Bain Capital under the bus, but wealth creators of all kinds who take risks in the private marketplace.

TL,DR?

Malkin thinks Mitt sucks and the rest of the non-Romney's are a pageant of feckless, cartoonish asshats but on the plus side Bain Capital, Free Markets and 1%ers rock.

In short, nobody likes this slate of candidates.

Hard to have a downturn when you're bouncing along rock bottom.

"Barring a downturn in the economy, I think the GOP's goose is cooked."

When was there ever an upturn? I know many libs are willing to play the stupid card and pretend a 1% growth is the new bar to reach, that 200k jobs created is good today. But to assume the economy has been good in any sector borders on delusional...

Are you sure you are not describing Obama?

"Huntsman, because he skipped Iowa, had to try in New Hampshire."

I think it's the other way around. I think he skipped Iowa because he felt his chances were better in NH. He's been in the state for months now.
+++++

I am very uncomfortable with the idea that Romney somehow has clout because he lives in a neighboring state. Those who don't live in New England might not know this, but there are divisions in the region. In Maine, for instance, the term "out-of-staters" is said with contempt. NH voters tend to be very independent-minded; living next door doesn't necessarily mean much. I think Romney's win will be more the result of a preponderance of moderate voters in NH, not because he lives nearby and has a vacation home in the state.

Mostly true on the Dem side also but I'm glad Obama is still popular in canada.

Wishful thinking, there is a significant segment of the GOP who will NEVER get behind Romney.

Dont believe that. I think at this point, republicans would vote for Hillary to put Obama out of office...

Only in a liberals mind can 200K people finding service economy jobs while 20 million are out of work, the majority of which have stopped looking and are not counted anymore be a good thing...

I think Romney's win will be more the result of a preponderance of moderate voters in NH, not because he lives nearby and has a vacation home in the state.

Possibly, but Romney's governorship of Massachusetts was a good excuse the other candidates could use to take New Hampshire off the map.

When was there ever an upturn?

We're in the middle of one now.

gop candidates who don't stand a chance against obama are being used to keep ron paul in check. first it was gingrich, then it was santorum in iowa , and now in new hampshire it will be huntsman. i predict that you will see a four way squeeze at the top with huntsman the "surprise" (which he really isn't if you realize everyone is working (consciosly or unconsciously) under the premise "anyone but paul"

romney 24
huntsman 23
paul 22
santorum 16

paul's team is tuned it, groundd, and media savvy, so i watch their reactions an who they go after. paul has laid waste to both gingrich and santorum and now he must move on to huntman, who is going to be a bit tougher.

still, ron paul has a long standing, consistent, wide ranging, coherent and principled view of america and the world; he reinforces this view through speeches, articles, debates and television a radio programs and never is at a loss for straightforward assessments rooted in the constitution. he also has an entire political MOVEMENT behind him-- something that NO other gop candidate has. in short, paul's candidacy represents more than ron paul, and as such, intelligent americans who see an america at a danerous crossroads will understand that when they vote for paul, they are voting for something much greater than the next resident of the united states of america.

In short, nobody likes this slate of candidates.

How dumb was Tim Pawlenty for dropping out?

If this is the "middle" then it isn't very good.

It better be the beginning.

But I suspect that is what you meant...you are just trying to help out your boy.

"We're in the middle of one now."

ROTFLMAO.... That middle bar is about 1/10 of an inch off the ground.

24--Well, then, they're dumb. : )

I believe Huntsman, in a general election, has a greater chance than anyone. He will appeal to independents in ways no one other than Paul will. But he won't get nominated, so never mind.

Republicans think that is important.

unfortunately he'll appeal to the same people obama appealed to four years ago, and i'm sure, back into history-- people who really don't like the status quo but don't have the guts to vote for real change...

The Oil spill in the gulf is all taken care of.

Obama got Osama

Gays have freedom to serve in military.

7 companies passed requiremnet to drill in the gulf, and are doing so today.

5 new nuclear power plants to be built soon.

stemcell research have been approved

Affordable health care act,so people can buy basic insurance.

Fixed the medicare drug plan.

GM is now a public traded company again.

Wonder why Republicans never seem to have a plan?

So we're for Obama 4 more years....

stemcell research have been approved [under Obama]

Glad you brought that up.

Actually stem cell research was one of the main factors behind my decision to vote for Obama. The arrogant GWB halted all federal funding for research using embryonic stem cells leaving millions Americans with various illnesses without hope and years behind being able to find a cure. The embryonic stem cells were not obtained from abortions but Bush didn't care as long as he could lock in the uneducated religious fundamentalists' vote.

Huntsman impressed me with a few of his answers in the last debate.

I'm going to start listening more to what he has to say. Although the first time he kisses butt to the Neocon ideology of wanting to nuke Iran on Israel's behalf, he's history.

The DOW up over 4,500 points since Obama took office.

But with the down's, the majority of middle America's value in stocks was wiped out. So who benefitted?

Gays have freedom to serve in military.

They always did. Flaming gays still will be kicked out. This only let most soldiers know who is gay...

7 companies passed requiremnet to drill in the gulf, and are doing so today.

Out of how many who applied before Obama shut the gulf down?

stemcell research have been approved

Research as always been approved. The only problem was, as is usual with liberal arguments, who is going to pay for it. Never enough money for libs...

Affordable health care act,so people can buy basic insurance.

You could already do this. 20 years ago, I bought a basic policy from Blue Cross, so what did change? Oh yea, see above comment, more other people's money going to pay for someone else's failure to plan for life..

GM is now a public traded company again.

Govt picking winners again? It should have been allowed to fail. Another company would have stepped into the vacumn...

Romney is going to win this. I think the republican base is starting to see all this infighting is only helping Obama. I see a consolidation of the party in the next few weeks. Everyone will get behind Romney.

FALSE.

Bush not allowing embryonic stem cell research had absolutely nothing to do with federal funding.

Do some reseach before you make a specific statement as though it was the truth.

Bush set embryonic stem cell research back by years specifically to cater to the religious fundamentalist crowd and their votes even though it had nothing to do with using any stem cells obtained from abortions. Bush didn't care how many sick people died in the meantime for whom cures might have been found and their lives saved.

"Bush Vetos Stem Cell Funding Legislation"

June 20, 2007

President Bush on Wednesday vetoed a bill that would have eased restraints on federally funded embryonic stem-cell research.

Flanked by a number of biologists and patients who have benefited from adult stem cells at a Wednesday afternoon press conference, the president said he made the decsion for moral and ethical reasons....

Might I suggest you listen closely to his stance on Iran? He has been quite clear that he will not abide a nuclear Iran. And that's cool. I don't see him as an Israeli stooge, but I haven't looked closely at that. This guy has lived and breathed diplomacy for a long time. He's smart, engaged, and seriously curious. Talk about cherry-picking your sentences.

YES, Bush did veto the Stem Cell Funding Legislation.

But, NO, Bush did not veto that legislation because of "who is going to pay for it" -- as Boaz had previously stated.

Bush's veto had nothing to do with any dispute regarding federal funding and everything to do with Bush vetoing it for alleged "moral and ethical reasons" -- as Bush himself stated in that article I see now you apparently neglected to read.

"20 years ago, I bought a basic policy from Blue Cross, so what did change?"

The cost of health care went up at about 3-4 times the rate of inflation. Of course, you wouldn't know that as a government employee who gets his health care fully paid, and has for two decades.

Chris,

I was commenting to that idiot saying that Obama is successful because of the funding. I was saying a dem or liberal would use federal funds because there arent enough funds in the private sector, which is what socialists do all the time. As I said before, socialists and liberals never account for who is going to pay for their utopia. This case is no different. Why use fed funds? I didnt say Bush vetoed it because of who is going to pay for it, but I bet that had something to do with it. He vetoed it on moral grounds.

Of course, you wouldn't know that as a government employee who gets his health care fully paid, and has for two decades.

Jealous? I'm sure there is a recruiter near you willing to put you on the first boat to Afghanistan to earn your benefits.

It's funny to listen to liberals berate the military for the benefits they have rightfully earned. It's funny to see them compare us to welfare receipients. And the comparison is so disenginous(sp?)..

When a welfare receipient gets a W-2 for the job they do to get the benefits, when they leave their families for years at a time when their country asks, when they put their lives on the line in their job the country asks them to do, then the comparison will be valid..

"Jealous? "

Of someone unaware what's happened in the health industry over the last 20 years? No.

"It's funny to listen to liberals berate the military for the benefits they have rightfully earned. "

The only time I begrudge you your hard-earned benefits is when you begrudge others theirs.

"It's funny to see them compare us to welfare receipients."

I'd certainly never do that; I have nothing but respect and awe for our soldiers. You guys earn every dime. Like I said, my disagreement is only when you pretend others shouldn't be given the same respect, or their contracts honored just the same as yours.

So, by these early numbers we can surmise:

1. 22% of Republicans will not vote for the Republican nominee.
2. Another 9% would not be very likely to vote for the nominee.
3. 16% would likely vote for Obama, possibly 38%.

Don't anyone count out Huntsman--not yet for sure.

I wouldn't go quite that far. But I think it's remarkable what the Republicans have done to themselves over the last two years.

If Willard wins afterall, what is it that he has won? He's a pig with new lipstick, that's all. No one likes him or respects him now, and that's hardly likely to get better for him if the economy is in fact in downturn when he gets in and he doesn't deliver on the miracle he's advertised.

There will be no honeymoon.

oh yeah...it's gotta suck to have a plank in your platform that depends on America doing badly economically so that your party can somehow do good politically.

"BURNETT: Do you think at this point, unless we’re going to commit, and I’m curious whether you would commit to full on military conflict with Iran, that we have to accept that they will eventually be a nuclear power? It’s more important to figure out how to deal with that than to yell and scream about it happening when its inevitable anyway.

HUNTSMAN: Well, I think they’ve already made the decision to go nuclear. [...]

BURNETT: So, if push comes to shove and this is important, I’m not saying this is something you do tomorrow, but if push comes to shove, if what was between them and a nuclear weapon or there was an uncertainty, required troops invasion, you’d do it?

HUNTSMAN: I can’t live with the implications of not doing it. I can’t live with the thought of what a nuclear Iran brings to the region and what they said about Israel, which is our centerpiece alliance in the region. I can’t live â€" I can’t live with the world with a nuclear Iran.

So, then, you say, what do you do? And realistically, you got to have all options on the table. You got to be prepared to use all elements of national power."

Personally, Huntsman scares the Bejesus out of me. He speaks well and he's been overseas but he's still a neocon.
Thanks but no thanks.

Yeah, 1% of the vote in--that's meaningful. Polls probably haven't even closed in all the stations across the state. Give it a few hours, kids. I know you're excited and all, but Santa doesn't come till after you've gone to bed.

WTG Danni!

Now all the trigger happy Chicken Hawks are all gonna vote for him...thanks a lot.

88--You're easily frightened. Neocon, really? A Wolfowitz kinda guy? PNAC? Huh. I didn't get that sense from him at all. I'll have to do more reading if he gets the nom. Is being willing to use military action in Iran a necessary signifier of neocon status? Really? I mean, I don't love it, but Iran scares me more than Iraq or Afghanistan, if you wanna get down to it. They have espoused the hatred and actually acted directly against us (historically).

And "he speaks well" is a bit like the famous "Barack is articulate," except of course that the ambassador is white. It's demeaning nonsense. The guy is smart, Danni.

And we all know you'll vote for President Obama no matter what.

No surprise. Romney wins.

Does Perry go home now? Does Gingrich? I need to listen to fewer bozos.

"Does Perry go home now?"

Hopefully Babbler isn't a cutter.

BIG DEAL!!! New Hampshire is just another liberal butt hole like Chicago or D.C.

Wishful thinking, there is a significant segment of the GOP who will NEVER get behind Romney.

Dont believe that. I think at this point, republicans would vote for Hillary to put Obama out of office...

Well, I won't be voting for any of them this year. I'm no longer going to vote for the lesser of two evils, they both drive us in the same direction one slightly slower than the other. No thanks to anyone that won't take the bull by the horns.

Ron Paul is the only politician in this horse race that will get my vote. He's trying to change the party by exposing them nationally for who they are. I doubt he'll run 3rd party and that's too bad. At this point in time I bet he'd win. The establishment democrat party and the republican party both fear him because he'd garner votes from both.

If anyone hasn't figured out by this point that the letter following the name is meaningless but still blindly supports anyone the letter foists up there's probably not much hope for them.

I think the American public at large is ready to turn the two party system on its head.

I mean, no surprise, but it seems early.

Romney is going to win this.

Boaz-we all knew this November 2008. The GOP had chosen Romney minutes after McCain tanked.

The only question is which klownkar passengers will surrender after tonight? I expect Parry and Santorum to run up the white flag after SC.
Of course, Cain is making sounds like he's getting back in after SC.

They know I'm paying attention, Phoenix. I send them nice little notes in their donation envelopes, absent cash.

You're against Planned Parenthood, right?
You want to take away services that help people to plan for life.
And then, after making it harder, you want to blame the people for failing.

Sounds like you're just mean-spirited to me.
You don't really have a political outlook.
Just resentment.

I have said for about a week that the thing that interests me most is who drops out now.

Huntsman will run as long as he has money, I bet. He's either very serious or positioning himself for a cabinet position or for 2016. When you have to run against your own party, you're kinda doomed to begin with.

Paul, ditto. Well, the first sentence, I mean.

I expect similar of Gingrich.

Perry should drop out now.

It would be interesting if that were so, but I'm not buying it. I think most Americans probably vote by party. And Rep. Paul is still seen as a bit of a whacko by many. I would like him to run third-party, though, and not for the cynical reasons espoused by someone like, oh, Danni.

That's not an insignificant point. What's keeping Romney on the scene is the fact that the others are absolutely pitiful candidates. Maybe Huntsman isn't batguanoloco, but most Republicans aren't even aware of who he is.

Fuck. Just beat me to it (barely). I thought I was over the line, but at least I didn't mention the man's penis.

Oh yeah, Ron Paul. I forgot he was even part of this first primary, amidst all the Romney headlines. Who cares though? The media tells me the other 48 states don't matter at this point.

The survey finds that 58 percent of Republican primary voters want more presidential choices, while just 37 percent say they are satisfied with the current field. The percentage of Republican primary voters that wants more choices has increased 12 percentage points since October.

Mitt Romney, the frontrunner for the nomination, has struggled to break 30 percent support in state and local polls in an election cycle that has seen multiple candidates move ahead of Romney in the polls before seeing their support erode. In this national survey, taken after Romney's narrow victory in the Iowa caucuses, the former Massachusetts governor leads the field - though he holds just 19 percent support. Only 28 percent of GOP primary voters say they've made up their mind, and just 20 percent who've made a choice strongly favor their candidate.

Yes, but supposedly Mitt's arm and dick still works.

Romney winning both Iowa and New Hampshire is a sign that he's in stronger shape than the major media is claiming. They want things to be up in the air because that gets higher ratings. I think if he wins South Carolina the rest of the primary calendar is a coronation.

#217 | Posted by rstybeach11

Sure he can.

McCain started with NH and beat Huckabee along the way--he may have won AR.

Everyone dropped out after super Tuesday.

It'll pretty much be over after South Carolina and if not, then Florida will drive the final nail into the coffin.

Ron Paul is skipping some voting primaries and concentrating on the caucuses where he believes he will do better.

He will stay as long as the money is there--and he's on all the ballots.

Whereas, the other candidates (except Romney) have missed the ballot in various states.

Huntsman missed 3 states and has to file suit.

Only Romney and Paul are on VA ballot.

Perry got in too late and then oops himself.

If he doesn't get 3rd or better in SC he will likely go back home.

When the money goes--so does the candidate.

I agree with you that with the results of SC the bottoms will be going home. They should be going home anyway.

Yep:

Televangelist Launches Fierce Attack on Joel Osteen, Says Mormonism Isn't Christianity

"Mitt Romney is a temple worshiper, which comes from Messianic beliefs. They believe the Bible is incomplete. They believe in the founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith, and wearing magical underwear will protect them from evil," Keller told CP.

No way will the people elect a magic underwear man...
Ron Paul... yes.... magic underwear man ... no

Religious crap doesn't sell anymore....

One thing for sure--Romney and Paul are an item.

Paul has a bunch of bank--just heard he's collected 10 million in the month of January. It's only the 10th!!

Paul will collect delegates and at some point the RNC or Romney or both will have to go in the kitchen and cook with Paul.

Paul wants his message out--maybe a cabinet position--speech at the convention...

If the conversation is agreeable--Paul would give his delegates to the front runner--if Romney or whoever.

They have to do something so he doesn't go rogue or third party.

"Religious crap doesn't sell anymore...."

Sure it does.

And if it keeps even a small percentage from voting for magicunderwear man then that just might be the difference in November.

#230 great post HANS ....

Romney doesn't wow me, but we have to make allowances in that he is from Massachusetts. He has been a governor and has been in business and straightened out the Olympic games mess. He is not as conservative as I would like. He doesn't seem to get flustered. He has the looks for being a President. He is not unlikeable-could come across as more likeable. But seems to be the best of the lot and may have a better chance of defeating Obama than any of the others. Mormonisn is a better faith than that liberation theology or whatever Jeremiah Wright was pushing. Tomney would never say or feel, "God Damn America."

And this attack on Romney and Bain is going nowhere.

People will rally around the guy who sticks up for free markets and capitalism.

Coulter and DeMint just released "cut it out Newt!" statements saying Romney's all about capitalism.

"People will rally around the guy who sticks up for free markets and capitalism."

Already heard that from the Romney hack, Steve Schmidt. Maybe you ought to turn the channel. You're just repeating everything they say on MSNBC, Murphy.

"And this attack on Romney and Bain is going nowhere."

On the other hand, this is an ad which writes itself:

"I like being able to fire people"

Obama is the magicunderwearsniffer, just ask Bill Frist.

From Hans link--

“When you have someone like Franklin Graham going on CNN and saying he has no problem voting for a Mormon like Mitt Romney and Osteen saying Mormons are Christian, it is clear that politics are being put before the eternal soul of man.”

LOL

I would say there are quite a few other items on the list markedly higher than Mormons that affect the eternal soul of man.

Mormons are Christians. They believe in Jesus.

When pointing out the eccentricities of a particular religion--folks should be careful when throwing stones.

"I like being able to fire people"

Yeah I would like to fire people for poor services too.

I Know you do! ;o)

Obama is the magicunderwearsniffer, just ask Bill Frist.

No Obama is the magic negro--just ask the LA Times.

"Mormonisn is a better faith than that liberation theology or whatever Jeremiah Wright was pushing."

Not according to Bill Keller, the founder of LivePrayer.com, which has over 2.4 million subscribers.

Mark Levin is a better source...

Obama is a miserable failure.

Mormonism is a religious cult. Like the taliban....

Just a bunch of religious control freaks!

"Yeah I would like to fire people for poor services too."

Ah, nuance.

Let's hear your vigorous defense of this nuanced statement.

Meanwhile, "I like being able to fire people" is an ad which writes itself.

C'mon people, it is Black Liberation Theology, google the damn thing up and read about it, listen to James Cone, listen to Jeremiah Wright.

Lose the ignorance.

"Mormons are Christians. They believe in Jesus."

Not according to Not according to Bill Keller, the founder of LivePrayer.com, which has over 2.4 million subscribers:

Keller says every Christian leader's main concern should be the eternal man, and any follower of a cult like Mormonism will spend an eternity in hell. He calls Osteen an "idiot" and a "gutless coward," saying mainstream Biblical scholars assert that Mormon beliefs do not coincide with Biblical doctrine.

According to Keller, the Bible teaches that any group calling themselves Christian without adhering to Christian beliefs is a cult - and Mormons are the worst offenders.

Nothing pleases me more than one group of evangelicals in a pissing match with other evangelicals over what is and what isn't "Christian, especially when a presidential election is at stake.

Confuses the low-thinkers.

Black liberaton theology believes that the white god (or Jesus) must bow to the black god (or Jesus), or the white god should be killed, because if the white god (the opressor) does not subjagate to the black god (the opressed), he is no god at all and he deserves to die.

James Cone would grab me and give me a giant hug, because I understand what he is saying EXACTLY.

Donald Duck could beat this anti America socialist,

Too bad the GOP isn't running Donald Duck, cause obama is kicking the current crop's asses.

Obama blew it. He's a lousy president. America knows it. The economy knows it.

Apparently the voters don't know it, or, at best for you, recognize that none of the current GOP crop will be even as good as him. If the GOP had anything other than 4 more years of Bush's economic stupidity, you might have an argument, but right now the GOPpers and their Kandiklowns are bent on doubling down on the philosophy that killed the economy in 2008.

Rev Wright a military vet who served 9 years and a USMC...

and how many years did you serve REXZEIT

It appears that Hans is one of those American's using race to rationalize his own personal failures. America is moving forward and Hans is being left behind with all his reverse racism and bigotry. The rest of us, true Americans of all racial backgrounds, will enjoy a return to prosperity. A place were the lack of hard work is the only limitation. Our communities will no longer be segregated by divisive prefixes in front of the word America. My Black brothers and sisters will be known not as "African American's", but simply Americans

"...that the white god (or Jesus)..."

If Jesus of Nazareth existed he would most likely look more like this than like this.

Rev Wright has done nothing then breed more hate and racism.

Don't anyone count out Huntsman--not yet for sure.

He had his 10 count. NH was his only shot at staying in the race, and ronpaul1776 just ate his lunch.

RCADE: the media has been playing up the challenges to Romney simply because there are none. He was anointed by the GOP in 2008. I think what's interesting is that Republicans like Santorum and Gingrik recognize he's a terribly weak candidate for the GOp and think they could take him out. He's John Mccain redux, only with no legacy of Dubya's failures hanging over his head. When righties go after you for being a capitalist, you know something's wring.

I was in the army for 5 years, you fricking dimwit.

What does that have to do about anything?

I served at the same time John Allen Mohammmed and Timothy McVeigh served, are they your pals too?

Hans, do you have a working knowledge of Black Liberation Theology?

Obama is not kicking the current GOP fields tail, unless you are asking Chris Mattews or Maddow. Romney is up 6, and Paul is tied with the Messiah.

"Romney Wins New Hampshire"

Good for him.
I sure don't want it.

When Jim Demint sticks up for Romney--so will the Tea Party.

-------

Hans--when Romney says he likes to fire people who are insurance companies for poor services--you look foolish trying to spin it ...

And when Keller gets busted with some prostitute or gay guy--that's the end of Mr. Keller.

"Hans--when Romney says he likes to fire people who are insurance companies for poor services--you look foolish trying to spin it ..."

There's that nuance again.

Having to explain what a candidate meant.

Sort of like having to explain this.

You missed the Rush show today--then Mark Levin...

The rw pundits are circling the wagons and telling Newt to knock it off.

Newt was very subdued in his sppech tonight--not one bite mark on the back side of Romney. Someone is telling him to knock it off--besides me!

"And when Keller gets busted with some prostitute or gay guy--that's the end of Mr. Keller."

Wasn't the end of this guy.

RexZeitgeist

I served 22 years in the army retire in 1978,at age of 40. Then worked 24 years for a great company. So I know what its like to pay into the system for many years..

But I still will vote for a democrat over a republican..

No one can fire Hans because despite his terrible service he hides behind cowardly defenses like the "race card". Han's is a slow learner, democratic party poster boy.

#264 | Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2012

bs--I heard the whole damn thing several times--he was talking about insurance companies and how people can fire them if they don't like them--He likes to fire people who give poor services.

It's too bad you're stuck with a candidate who likes to fire people, Murphy. That's the way the cookies crumble.

Thanks for your service of 22 years. Not all democrats are bad people who live off the effort and hard work of others. I have voted for Democrats, albeit rarely. I don't believe in taking from others, which had been a consistent platform of the democratic party.

"And when Keller gets busted with some prostitute or gay guy..."

Besides, the point isn't the messenger.

The point is one group of evangelicals in a pissing match with other evangelicals over what is and what isn't "Christian," especially when a presidential election is at stake, regardless of who is the messenger.

As I said, it confuses the low-thinkers, and could be the difference in a close race.

It's not too bad for us, Romney is going to look like Reagan compared to the Obama disaster.

I served at the same time John Allen Mohammmed and Timothy McVeigh served, are they your pals too?

#258 | Posted by RexZeitgeist at 2012-01-10 11:00 PM |

I always wonder what they were thinking as they killed? I wonder if they mentally justified their actions?

Did any of you lefties listen to Romney's entire comment, or his 3 seconds the extent of your attention span? Please, just like Obama's America is lazy comment, totally taken out of context. Hans is the only one who would not fire someone for only painting half of his government subsidized home the wrong color.

"bs--I heard the whole damn thing several times--he was talking about insurance companies and how people can fire them if they don't like them--He likes to fire people who give poor services."

Spending even a moment "explaining" "I like being able to fire people" is a weak, losing position.

You'd be better off just admitting that it was a stupid thing to say and attempt to change the subject (and hope that people forget it).

And that's today's politics.

I bet Weasel Willard gets a hard-on every time he hands out a pink slip.

So what Teller101?

What does that have to do with Jeremiah Wright, you don't even know what it is he preached or what he personally believes.

I bet you have no idea he fathered at least two children with white women outside of his marriage, both of whom worked for other black pastors outside of Chicago.

Can you tell me the connenctions between Trinity United in Chicago, the New Black Panther party, and the Nation of Islam?

Can you tell me what Jeremiah Wright thought about the United States?

No, you can't.

Until your ignorant ass has something to congent to add to the dialectic, shut the fuck up about Jeremiah Wirght.

republicans have said they want to do means testing for social security.

Means testing! we paid into it our whole lives, thats our money...

I don't trust republicans with social security..

It didn't stop Obama.

Romney gave his speech back in 2008 over being a Mormon.

He wears (or maybe wears) magic underwear and the Catholic Pope wears the damnest funniest hate evar! Oh--and they do exorcisims.. And they tell their sins to some guy on the other side of a wall...

I was born Catholic--my Mom had to sign a contract to bring the children up born in the marriage--Catholic--so the marriage was recognized by the Church.

Love my Dad--but damn--either she converted or it was the kids raised in it.

No one is perfect--not even Christians--and certainly not Mr. Keller.

He'll back away from his comments--keep us posted --ok.

"...painting half of his government subsidized home..."

Every American who takes an income tax deduction on the interest paid on their mortgage is enjoying government subsidization of their home.

Rex what is your problem with Bill Ayre's? What did he do that is so wrong in your opinion?

Hans, I'm sure your not paying for any of your housing cost because of the hardship placed on you by white America. Sorry Hans!

But Rex you have to think he was doing what he thought was right. In his mind armed insurrection was the only viable course to bring about the change he wanted. The road to socialism will not be easy.

Hans doesn't realize that Ayers was a domestic terrorist. I guess bombing public places and putting innocent people at risk terrorism. Hans hopes that he can be elevated in society without doing any hard work, dam racist whites.

lol

Yeah--I like to fire idiots too!

Don't you want to fire someone at the DMV--or the post office--or the hospital--or at a restaurant??

Come on--you are cranky enough--probably want to fire a whole bunch of turds...

"Our final goal is the destruction of imperialism, the seizure of power, and the creation of socialism. Our strategy for this stage of the struggle is to organize the oppressed people of the imperial nation itself to join with the colonies in the attack on imperialism. This process of attacking and weakening imperialism involves the defeat of all kinds of national chauvinism and arrogance; this is a precondition to our fight for socialism."

Bill Ayers wrote that.

I agree 100%. We must bring socialism to this country for us as a nation to prosper. Redistribution of wealth is the key to the success of this nation.

"Socialism is the total opposite of capitalism/imperialism. It is the rejection of empire and white supremacy. Socialism is the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie, the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and the eradication of the social system based on profit. Socialism means control of the productive forces for the good of the whole community instead of the few who live on hilltops and in mansions. Socialism means priorities based on human need instead of corporate greed. Socialism creates the conditions for a decent and creative quality of life for all."

This is brilliant stuff from Ayers.

Yeah I would like to fire people for poor services too.

Me too, Murph. A couple of years ago, I had a contractor who was redoing a bathroom in one of my houses. He was doing an extremely shitty job. I was happy to be able to fire him. Had I not been able to fire him, I would have been very unhappy that my money was wasted.

I wonder why the lefties whining about this aren't happy they have the choice to get rid of bad workers? They always say it's the right wing who own the businesses and corporations. Well, not wanting to have the ability to fire bad people goes a long way towards explaining why the left fails at business. Damn, they're stupid if they are sad to get rid of bad workers.

Hey truth teller, you better check your records. Familiar with the terrorist group called the "weatherman"? Correct he was not convicted and that was crime in itself. However, he has spoken openly about his involvement in those bombings and his reasons why? There is never a rational case for domestic terrorism. Wasn't he denied entry to Canada because of the horrific nature of his crimes despite not getting a conviction.

Evil rich white Republicans control most of this nation and must be displaced from power.

Of course it is brillant stuff, Bill Ayers can fricking write his ass off, and Prarie Fire is his masterpiece.

Obama jizzed his pants the first time he read this book, he was blown away by Ayers.

I was.

actually jackass is right!

Jackass, I really feel sorry for you. You failed in life and want to take down the country. Very sad. You sound like a minority who could not cut it. Your right the white people hold all minorities back, not their own lack of ambition. I should tell all my black friends to quit their high paying jobs because the white man will stop them, Idiots arn't they.

It is just too bad we can't elect a man like Ayers to the oval office. I though Obama would be it bud sadly he is just another moderate. This country needs someone who will take this country to the far left.

you name suits your intelligence level

No--Obama wants us to turn into France--forced to hire some jackass and never be able to fire them--for LIFE!!!

The problem with some folks--it that they fail to understand that we can only make choices amoung alternatives actually available.

The only way anyone can have a right--to a job--that has to be produced is to force someone else to produce it for him/her.

The more things are provided as rights--like a job--the less the recipients have to work and the more others have to carry their load.
Thomas Sowell

"Yeah--I like to fire idiots too!"

And, at its core, that is the problem with Romney's statement, nuance defense or not.

Don't you want to fire someone at the DMV--or the post office--or the hospital--or at a restaurant??"

That person at the DMV, or the post office, or the hospital, or at a restaurant, is a fellow human being. Most have families to support, dreams of a comfortable life in retirement, and maybe even something to leave his/her children after they die.

Every employer/boss, who takes the job seriously, knows that firing someone is a tough challenge. Having to fire someone who has worked for you comes with the knowledge that they might lose their families, and their dreams of a comfortable retirement go up-in-smoke.

"Liking" being able to fire "idiots"? Maybe they're just having a bad day.

And that is the problem with Romney's statement:

It is a calloused, uncaring statement.

And Americans, who are already fearful of the economy, are justified of being fearful of a "leader" who likes being able to fire people.

Especially one who made his millions doing just that: firing people.

Ayers is a beat up old man now, I saw him spreading his poison to a small group of squatter filth and you could tell his force had greatly diminished.

Dangerous but neutered..

Don't give up jackass republicans are trying to run a magic underwearer religious freak. So it not over yet!

Along with his slut wife Dorn--who screwed everything from one coast to the other...They will get theirs--it's called karma.

Hans what most people don't realize that most republicans don't care about the welfare of their fellow man. If it were up to them they would like having the ability to fire people for any and all reasons if it meant saving a buck. I have heard republicans talk about how they think it isn't their responsibility to provide workers comp for their employees. Republicans by nature only care about money. Even Goatman by his actions has proven that he cares more about money than his own family.

¡ Yo me gusta terminar trabajodores malos también !

Yep.

I agree no way in hell will the magic underwear man beat Obama!

"Even Trump doesn't "Like" firing people and he does it for money!!"

It's the word fire. I have fired people, and I have been fired-and there is no comparison in how much more excruciating the former process is. I know, agree with, and have even written a book about all the reasons why "flexibility" in the labor force is a good thing for companies and for the overall economy. People need to be held accountable for good or bad performance. Economies need to be able to move from the old-old markets, technologies, regions, emphases-and open up to the new. Companies very often need to "right-size" to survive. We all understand these truths. They are part of America's strength.

But people with any experience on either side of a firing know that, necessary as it might be, it is hard. Or it should be. It's wrenching, it's humiliating, it disrupts families, it creates shame and anger alike-notwithstanding the fact that often it absolutely has to happen. Anyone not troubled by the process-well, there is something wrong with that person. We might want such a person to do dirty work for us. (This might be the point where the Romney campaign wants to take another look at Up In The Air.) We might value him or her as a takeover specialist or at a private equity firm. But as someone we trust, as a leader? No - not any more than you can trust a military leader who is not deeply troubled when his troops are killed.

James Fallows

Unlike Romney or whoever the R candidate is? That person won't use negative ads? Good, get him to sign a pledge, then hold him to it.

Hans--I've been fired--a few times--lol It sucks!

At SOME POINT, someone will take an HONEST look at LDS/Mormonism....and it will be OVER!

Not antiMormon propaganda, an HONEST examination...of their history, the Doctrines and Covenants, the Book of Mormon....much less actually having a real discussion with a Mormon---all of which lead to a dismissal of the insanity that is the LDS religion.

Obama is just cleaning up the white men mess! Hey he already has the DOW up 4,500 points... so far so good!

Well, some lefties have poked fun at Romney for being a Mormon. I don't know the full religious background of the Mormon faith but there are some undergarments they wear during one of the spiritual ceremonies. Typically, it's said as a joke, just jabbing at a politician, all in good fun.

But Truthteller has taken it to an ass-sniffing extreme. It's almost worse than "Thread sucks!"

Toothsmeller must be a stroke survivor.

You mean she's actually alive? I heard her parents didn't have any kids who survived.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the explanation. I wonder why poopsmeller is so obsessed with it? She has a men's underwear fetish I guess.

seriously....the LDS thing will be THE BIGGEST reason Mitt loses if he gets the nomination....a HUGE LIABILITY.

Just because many of you dismiss ALL religion, use just a BIT of your critical thinking and do a casual perusal of the religion to see what I'm talking about....

Not at this point in his Presidency. On January 9th, 2004, the DJIA closed about 100 points below where Dubya inherited it. By the time Dubya leaves office, the Dow will have dropped another 21%

That kind of shit happens when the entire planet goes into a severe recession.

..Republicans are known as religious freaks..

Broadbrushers are known as idiots and are always wrong.

"Romney won't have to air any negative ads."

If I were like some here, I would hold on to this quote, and deluge you with the 113 negative ads the Romney campaign will produce. And isn't it worse to make negative ads if you "don't have to"? This is silly, Murphy--negative ads is how modern campaigns work.

"Broadbrushers are known as idiots and are always wrong."

Complete agreement. Goat, you've never spoken of "liberals" being x or doing y, now have you? : )

People won't support a Mormon...

Or any other religious control freak. bottom line...

Goat, you've never spoken of "liberals" being x or doing y, now have you? : )

Then how do they get put into office?

Thats why republicans will vote for someone who talks to the invisible man.. LIVE_OR_DIE

Holy shit, you can't possibly be this retarded!

Barack Obama: Praying to Be 'An Instrument of God's Will'

The prayer that I tell myself every night is a fairly simple one: I ask in the name of Jesus Christ that my sins are forgiven, that my family is protected and that I am an instrument of God's will. I'm constantly trying to align myself to what I think he calls on me to do. And sometimes you hear it strongly and sometimes that voice is more muted.

More Obama talking to the invisible man:

Obama's prayer: 'To walk closer with God'

Social justice, humility and "to walk closer with God" are President Obama's daily prayers, he told the National Prayer Breakfast this morning.

In a speech laced with Scripture, he initially covered familiar ground, noting how he came from a non-religious family that, nonetheless, showed him "the imperative of an ethical life and the necessity to act on your beliefs." Then through his work as a community organizer he says, he "came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior."

Poor Trannyfeller. LOL

I'm still trying to figure out why this clown calls himself "truthteller" when most of his posts are anything but.

Romney winning both Iowa and New Hampshire is a sign that he's in stronger shape than the major media is claiming. They want things to be up in the air because that gets higher ratings.

I've been thinking about this lately. Polls are always done with an error of plus/minus three percent.

They could easily sample more people and get the error down to one or two percent.

But they don't, because it's more dramatic when the candidates are in a "statistical dead heat."

The only ad that matters will be "Vote Romney. He's the WHITE one."

In the end, that really is all they got.

In the end, that really is all they got.

And repeating stupid lines like this is all you got, axecrement

This Marxist cumstain disaster currently in the White House is our "detour rather than our destiny".

I liked that.

I hope for my childrens' sake it is true.

It just doesn't have much "oomph" coming from Neo-Zion Ken-Doll.

I still like Perry.

Mitt Romney's hair reminds me of John Kerry's chin.

Too bad the GOP isn't running Donald Duck... -- #252 | Posted by northguy3

Would be great to see him get a substantial write-in vote.

Romney's the best thing that ever happened to ensure President Obama's reelection.

"Bain Bombs" and his 11 million flip flops will blow Romney's dreams of glory sky high

Amusing the pundits are declaring the primaries over and Romney the nominee after two small (forgive me) podunk states give him a small plurality.

Amusing also are those who have forgotten their love affairs with Cain, Perry, Bachmann so quickly and now line up solidly behind Mitt.

"That kind of shit happens when the entire planet goes into a severe recession....that your administration caused.

I heard one of the dumber talking heads this morning saying that Paul's voters will switch and vote for Mitt in the general election. I seriously doubt that someone vehemently opposed to more foreign wars will just switch and vote for some chickenhawk hack who will pursue a course of war just for political advantage in the Republican Party.

Well, a bunch of liberals will be voting for chickenhawk Obama's course of war in '12. So, it could happen.

That said, I would encourage them to stick it to the GOP and vote Johnson instead.

Do some research factfind.org..

Mornonism is a religious cult...Get a copy of the book of mormon's read it. They wear magic religious underwear. They talk to the invisible man. These people are religious freaks.

Just go read up on what they're all about..

What makes the LDS Church a cult?

Does that mean Catholocism, Protestantism, Buddhism, Islam are also cults?

They talk to the invisible man.

I see you pretended not to see #376 & #378. Poor bastard.

Unlike the Bible, the Book of Mormon isn't an outright forgery; We actually know who made up all that ludicrous bullshit.
What amazes me is how anyone older than seven can take that ridiculous nonsense seriously.

"Religion is all bunk."
~Edison

google it....Mormons (common term for "LDS") wear special "magic" underwear....look it up

I've asked you to define "cult" and tell me whether that means Catholics, etc., are members of cults.

You haven't, and either can't or won't.

Next time, come prepared.

Religions are man made businesses for profit nothing more!

That's not the question.

What's a "cult"?

I mean, you use the term so surely you can define it.

("And don't call me 'Shirley.'")

cult...Religious systems faddish devotion...
people who talk to make believe things...

"Romney Wins New Hampshire"

Obama will win in 2012.

I'm not overly concerned about it since Ron Paul has gotten the message out there. I hear other Republicans picking it up which means that this will heavily influence the Senate and House elections.

Ron Paul is done, except for finishing out the campaign. He won't be running for another term. I knew he wouldn't win and I think that's why the MSM didn't really take him seriously.

But, what a run, huh? For a revolutionary, he sure made a bigger splash than any other 3rd-partier in the past.

I just hope that the younger generation picks up his torch.

Religions are man made businesses for profit nothing more!

Seems that Truthteller got a serious screwing recently. Either that or he's a real loser and doesn't know it.

I'm just picking on you, truth, because you won't engage in any conversation much-less back up what you say.

I agree Ron Paul would have been great.

However, the republicans I don't trust with social security and medicare. Several of them want to means test social security after people like my self paid into it over 40 years. Its all about who you trust and I got to go with the Democrats..

#400 | Posted by Eddie

I'm not counting him out yet. No one expected him to get this far. But you are right about him getting his ideas out there. His campaign is not about him.

No, it's not that it wasn't funny, it just sounded like someone who supported Bush in the past. Or, a moderate Obama supporter who thinks that the status quo is worth keeping.

I haven't been following your posts so I don't know where you stand.

Obama wins NH too with 82% of the vote.....unopposed.

Oops! my bad, Prag. I missed that you were talking about Perot, thinking you were talking about Paul...

.... Nevermind ...

Still haven't heard from Hans...

416--Ha! I was wondering what happened there.

I'm a moderate liberal, more or less. And I support Huntsman in his run. Paul's interesting too. They are the only two I could vote for on that side. (And I maintain that if Huntsman were to take it--not in this climate!--I would take a close look, listen, and consider voting for him over Obama.)

I know nothing of Huntsman. All I know is from watching the the coverage of the primary last night, the exit polls indicated that people who voted for Huntsman opposed the Tea Party (whatever that means) and are "satisfied with the Obama Administration".

I suppose Huntsman is going for the "I don't give a shit" vote. There are always a large number of voters who vote, but don't want to know why...

All kidding aside, I can remember being "satisfied" with the Bush Administration going into his second term. I wasn't alone. But, my reason was that I just couldn't stand Kerry. I just didn't like him and I really didn't take the time (in 2004) to know why.

Funny thought... Kerry and Huntsman are similar in looks and perhaps political beliefs... If Huntsman has a future, I'll read up on him.

BTW, everything about Santorum I dislike. The way he looks, talks, his political beliefs...

"Funny thought... Kerry and Huntsman are similar in looks and perhaps political beliefs... If Huntsman has a future, I'll read up on him. "

That's just weird. Other than the tan, they look nothing alike. Kerry looks like a horse.

And Huntsman is a moderate conservative. The enemies of Kerry called him a treasonous liberal, so I'd say no, they're not similar in beliefs. Read up on Huntsman; he has a future, not as the nominee this year, but the man is not going away.

I also wouldn't make any meaning of those exit polls. "The only poll that matters is the one inside the building." Moderate conservatives should like this guy. Danni, foolishly, thinks he's a neocon. Doesn't that make you love him already? : )

We agree on Santorum.

The only primary Huntsman had a chance was New Hampshire. He's toast in all the other upcoming ones. Romney will have this thing pretty locked up by the end of February.

there's a fat lady signing somewhere. both for the Republican primary and the general election. Obama's got 2012 in the bag.

Obama's got 2012 in the bag.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; if this economy is not better by November and the depressed state of Americans continue and there's no hope, Americans will look for a new hope and Obama will be toast.

#424. economy is picking up. i see it. there is a lot more activity right now on the + side in terms of capital investment and people starting businesses. i'm not an Obama supporter, but barring some unforeseen event, i think the economy will continue to grow. I've been wrong before, lord knows, but that's my sense. feels like Clinton's final year of him first term to me.

I have doubled my assets with my prudential 401 since 2009 crash....also took a chunck of stock and bought a 15K$ crate of silver eagles that are now worth double....or has the dollar dropped that much? who give a fuck anyways the white zone is for loading and unloading only.

so the perception of economy is not too bad considering the loot fest and subsequent smoldering reflames that went down at the end of the last regime and into the new one....why risk it with sending in a new Clown in Chief....

What makes the LDS Church a cult?
Does that mean Catholocism, Protestantism, Buddhism, Islam are also cults?

#392 | POSTED BY DOC_SARVIS AT 2012-01-11 08:55 AM | REPLY

A Christian would define a "cult" as anything that denies Jesus is the one and only self-existent Creator and that His death on the cross is the only way to be saved.

Mormons (aka LDS) clearly meet that definition; they have a different Jesus that was created and only hold onto a hollow shell of a FEW Bible doctrines.

A Bible-believing Christian would say Buddhists and Muslims are also in a "cult"....but Mormons claim to be Christians (after 1977 that is!), so they are more deceptive in their claims and behavior.

There are many other defintions of "cult" that you are free to look up.

The issue at hand for those who don't give a rat's ass about religion should be:
cults always harm children and usually sexually. Look up the history of the LDS church over the years and see for yourself.

cults always lie, change their positions and deny their history. Look up the LDS church's history cover-ups.

cults often harm their fellow citizens. Look up the "Mountain Meadows Massacre" and the LDS church's involvement.

"Posted by kirk"

Kirk, you and I have rarely, if ever, seen eye-to-eye on the issues of the day.

But, whether you're an evangelical Christian, a so-called mainstream Christan, an American Jew, a Buddhist, or even an atheist, there's no doubt that the magicunderwear "religion" ("it is like wearing a 'hug'" and "IT'S WEIRD to outsiders. And the fact that they keep them secret, I mean sacred, makes it weirder still.") is a cult.

And this is posted by someone who lived in Clearwater when the Scientologists first moved to town. Is there even a difference between them?

is a cult.

They all are scooter.
The fun thing about the book of morons is we actually know who made up all that imbecilic bullshit, unlike the outright forgeries called the Bible.

"unlike the outright forgeries called the Bible."

You keep saying this. Is this a dig on the word of God belief, as in "The books were written by men, not God"? Or do you mean that Paul didn't really write the letters and the four dudes didn't really write the Gospels? (I'm not a Christian or believer of any sort, so don't leap down my throat, man; I'm just asking what you are getting at with your repeated crack.)

"Or do you mean that Paul didn't really write the letters and the four dudes didn't really write the Gospels?"

That is correct.
They are all forgeries; Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Ephesians, Colossians, and others, all forged years after the alleged events.
There are also forgeries in the Old Testament claiming to be prophesies that were written after the events occurred.

Here is a good start with a rich bibliography.

Jesus never existed.
Religion is all bunk for the miserably stupid.

One has to give Bart Ehrman credit for turning internal scholarly debate into great selling, money-making books, however one-sided and unscholarly and rhetorical they are, but you won't find, "Jesus never existed.", in any of them.

AND Again...libfux dems are happy...seems that the east coast independants are trying to select the nominee like they did in 08 and then vote for the community organizer again backed by blackass kissing media..

I think Ive seen this movie before..

...blackass kissing media...

Only atheist "scientists" are smart, right, Zat. But, but...what about the scientists that are believers???
What is the source of all your heartburn about Jesus anyway? As far as I know, he only preached faith, love, and charity...no killing of infidels or any of that kinda shit. Now THAT would bother me some, but the Ten commandments and "the meek shall inherit the Earth" don't worry me. I bet you hate Tebow too, right? I'll tell you though, he offends me a lot less than some of the pornographic antics by some of his detractors. I have even graduated from rooting for him to get his nuts smashed when he played for the Gators to hoping for him to win the Super Bowl...just to piss off condescending pricks like you. How are people who believe in Jesus and who peacefully attend churches on Sunday really causing you to have a cob up your ass?

"TWINKIES/HO HO"S? and DING DONGS GOING AWAY???"

Thanks to our friendly, patriotic unions....

"so his ass ISNT black????? "

One assumes that it is. However, bringing it up is entirely irrelevant. That's why the comment is racist or suggests racism... or invites accusations of same. And you're not stupid, Afk; you know and are either trolling or a racist.

You could get your point across just as effectively simply by saying "ass-kissing media." And you know that very well, too.

So don't be a old wrinkly white ass, Afk. Say what you mean and stand by it. If you're racist, be open about it. If you think his blackness is part of what makes him bad as a president, say it loud and proud.

And Zat, thanks for the response. I'm sure you're smart enough to know that there's a difference between "Jesus never existed" and "Jesus was not the Son of God."

Utter two simple words and Obama will win again:
Bush/Cheney

The people have not forgotten.

OH MY GOD

prophesy from the left..

HEY bud..can I put this right next to this from cobrahead?

Carville's most recent book is entitled 40 More Years: How the Democrats Will Rule the Next Generation

this came out just prior to november of 2010....

so how is this over???

Only two people have money on the ground and a real national team and strategy.

Romney and Paul.

Paul isn't gonna win.

Watch FOX promote Romney and discount and vilify Paul and the only possible conclusion a sane sentient being can come to is...

It will be Romney.

And he will lose to Obama.

But the GOP kinda expect that now and are concentrating on sinking the Dem candidates they fear most in the Congress and Senate and down slate.

A special emphasis will be placed on Elizabeth Warren in Mass.

See also: Debbie Wasserman-Schultz down in FLA.

They will both still win.

The only real questions at this point are who will win in both houses and what the map will it look like when the dust settles.

Still a long way out.

Many things could yet happen.

Stay 'tooned.

Be Well.

I refuse to listen to wasserman whatshername....she has lied and bullshitted enough.........well okay MAYBE once or twice more...like when she gets her ass kicked by chris wallace and others.

yeah spudeater..

I see that scenario...same one that played out in 2008...but I assure you...there are other forces at work this time

(CUE THE X FILES SOUND TRACK) !!!!!!

"I Know how the media says its over, but realistically...how is it over?"

Does the media say it's over? I don't know. I've read some stuff about Paul having a chance. But another way to look at Perry's count is that he has only 1/6 the number of votes, rather than 10 behind. : )

Sorry, pal, I just don't see Perry or Santorum playing out across the country. As much as so many here (on both sides) would like it different, the country is pretty much middle-of-the-road. We don't want a crazy social conservative (or liberal); we want someone who will help us out of our economic mess and keep wars to a minumum.
