Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he's frustrated with Republican priorities in the run up to the presidential election. "One of the reasons that I was so frustrated and decided not to get in the race was because it appears to me, and it still does to a large degree, that many of the Republicans are more interested in just defeating Barack Obama than they are in rebuilding America," he said. "Well, defeating somebody without a plan to really resolve problems, to me, is a worthless endeavor."

/Frankly, Spud is quite chuffed that an R has come out and said what a lot on people on the left have been saying for a while.

That quote alone inspires some respect for Huckabee.

Oh, they have a Plan. The Ryan Plan for 1 Percenters. You know, the one most Americans know Sucks Big Time.

Which is why they can't talk about it.

That quote alone inspires some respect for Huckabee.

Agreed.

It would inspire more respect if he said it on FOX in his capacity as paid pundit there rather than just to some little local in the lead-up to the Iowa vote but ya take what ya can get in this nu-media age.

Be Well.

Huckabee is a Marxist. 'Nuf said.

"Rs Would Rather Defeat Obama Than Rebuild US."

Defeating obama is instrumental in rebuilding America. Treat the problem not just the symptom.

But it will just be replacing one failed experiment with another. On the bright side the republicans have the anyone but him mentality on their side and that seemed to win the election last time. Lets just hope that we are not blinded by hate and stupidity to the point where the fool gets another 4 years to add to his destruction.

"Defeating obama is instrumental in rebuilding America. Treat the problem not just the symptom."

It might be, but I expect Huckabee meant that that first step of a plan is just a goal unless you have the rest of the plan ready, too.

If Huckabee hasn't figured out who has what plan to rebuild America by now he's either an idiot or he is looking for yet another 15min of fame.

Defeating obama is instrumental in rebuilding America.

That and defending the incandescent lightbulb obviously.

"That and defending the incandescent lightbulb obviously."

First, they came for my buggy whip...

"Defeating obama is instrumental in rebuilding America."

The hysteria of the anyone-but-Obama contingent is breathtaking to behold.

"First, they came for my buggy whip..."

Then they closed the local chapter of the Eulenspiegel Society.

LOL.

Vote Romney, He's White!!!!

That REALLY is all they got. That's the whole plan. Verbatim. Nothing more.

Then turn the whole damned thing over to Koch Industries, Bernie Madolf and Flush Rimjob.

Defeating obama is instrumental in rebuilding America.

.....at their best.....the Repub candidates are more interested in deconstructing America, than in moving forward...........

......forward to the past......

.....it's a seductive concept, endorsed by the Amish, the Luddites, the Taliban, the Salafists, the Muslim Brotherhood, the ultra-Orthodox Jews, Conservative Christian Americans,....and all the countless 'conservatives' religionists who want to move back to their movements's golden days......

Vote Romney, He's White!!!!

Vote Obama. He's white too!

"Vote Romney, He's White!!!!
Vote Obama. He's white too!
"

remind some of a stupid joke-- why did colonel mustard run away from professor plum?

because, down to his core, he was always a bit yellow...

Oh, Christ.

Now I have to have a shred of respect for Mike Huckabee.

huckabee wants to rebuild america...

one dead muslim at a time...

"Lets just hope that we are not blinded by hate and stupidity...

Have you looked at the leading candidates for the R nomination? Do you feel a little late to the party with that comment?

That quote alone inspires some respect for Huckabee.

Exactly what I was thinking.

What a steaming pile of horseshit.

"Republicans are more interested in just defeating Barack Obama than they are in rebuilding America."

Dems made the same mistake in 2004.

As opposed to any of the fools on the probable Republican ticket?

Republicans can't talk about real solutions because first they would have to talk about real causes. That would prevent them from blaming everything on Obama and then what would they run on? Their plan is to just keep blaming Obama and hope Americans are dumb enough to accept that as a plan for recovery. It's pure bull shit but I won't pretend that they don't have a chance to prevail, Americans proved how stupid they were in 2000 and then especially in 2004 so anything is possible.

Republicans can't talk about real solutions because first they would have to talk about real causes.

LOL....Danni you are something else.

Doesn't matter the cause, it is already happened and done with. Now tell us about the real solutions your beloved obama has coming.

Come on danni, tell us about these real solutions you seemed to alude obama has coming...tell us, give us a glimmer of HOPE.

"tell us, give us a glimmer"

You should ask the Republicans in Congress why they voted against his jobs bill, America doesn't need to repair infrastructure? That wouldn't create any jobs?
What solutions do Republicans offer? More tax cuts for rich folks? Yay.

LMAO. You are too funny. You have no shame. Swap the word Obama with Bush and you describe yourself to a "T" in your posts.

Mike Huckabee obviously does not understand that most of the
Reps are owned by the same international banking cartel that owns Obama. Our politicians are merly the puppets in this show.

Child: Who made the...
Average religious conservative: God did it.

Child: Who is to blame for...
Average religious conservative: Obama did it.

Child: Why can't...
Average religious conservative: Shut up and get back in the kitchen! No more questions from you, woman!

Any problem solved today is an issue they can't run on in two years. It is not in their best interest to do anything other than band-aid fixes.

The sad yet true state of affairs.

If anyone needs proof of this, look at the Bachmann campaign. " She said she was motivated to stop Obama and not by a thirst for power." Once you defeat Obama, than what? Coincidence that Cain's popularity grew when he focused on improving American life, or Gingrich pledging not to run a smear campaign, or Santorum's surge due to not his sweater vest but switching his goal from trying to fit in with Romney/Perry/etc. and focused on helping the average American?

Defeating obama is instrumental in rebuilding America

Because 8 years under the last Republican President was sooooo fucking great.

And don't be stupid enough to try and say that the GOPpers running (including ronpaul1776) would be any better. In his decades in Washington, ronpau1776 managed to get one bill passed and that was to close a post office. 1 for 420 doesn't bode well for him getting anything done, even if he had both chambers packed full of GOPpers.

And the rest? Party hacks.

Yes the Republicans are problem solvers. Do you realize how many budget bills are sitting on Harry Reid's desk waiting to move to the senate floor, but they are being blocked of course by the do nothing Dummycraps in the Senate.

And now we see that Obama has broken the law again by pushing forward his nominee Cordray, and three for the labor board, while congress has not been called into official recess. As he said today:

“When Congress refuses to act and as a result hurts our economy and puts people at risk, then I have an obligation as president to do what I can without them,” And of course he campaigns AGAIN, where? At another high school which is an illegal place to "campaign". Of course, the WH says this isn't a campaign stop, BULLSHIT! And we are paying for it.

where? At another high school which is an illegal place to "campaign". Of course, the WH says this isn't a campaign stop, BULLSHIT! And we are paying for it.

same mantra, different year...

Yea...Republicans are not talking jobs....Oh no, they're talking about ending a women right to choose.
We know they want to stop the gays in the military from getting married.

They want a war with iran, why its all they talk about..

But lets not forget they want to stop the affordable health care act ...obama care.. while many people are already on it. So now what, will people wakeup after Jan 20th 2013 to find out republican cancelled their healthcare? tune in and watch folks.
But these GOP politicians will still be recieving their tax payer funded benefits...Oh no they won't stop that...only yours...

GOP = god's Ordained Politicians!

How many high schools has the messiah, or dictator, or ego been to since taking his show on the road on our dime? And this is the only thing you could come up with to debate? Sort of off the topic, but I did add it in. Sorry I took the topic off point. Whatever.

Ummm isn't it obvious that helping America would not help the Republican Party right now?

But, they do have a "plan". It's called Just Say No.

Mitch McConnell has openly proclaimed that his No. 1 priority is to defeat Obama.

He is also the architect of the GOP's strategy of just-say-no to anything that might improve this economy or Middle Class American lives.

Mike-you can't solve the problem when you are the problem. There hasn't been a Republican President who was fit to be a dogcatcher, nevermind President, since Lincoln. Hasn't been a Republican President able to balance a budget since 1957. Or win a war since 1865.

Donnerboy, you are so blinded by your ideology or your foolishness that you refuse to see the facts. I realize that facts are terrible things to debate with. You just mouth your messiahs' campaign crap. Obama has been the anti middle class president since he has been in the oval office, so you are stupid enough to believe that all of a sudden the leopard is now paying attention to us? You are a fool, and the problem blocking digging us out of this juggernaut.

Getting rid of O'Bugger is *part* of rebuilding America fucker!

Newt may be able to solve one problem. The taliban have opened an office in Qatar and they need a lobbyist in Washington. I'm sure Newt would be glad to be their buddies if the price is right.

"How many high schools has"

Do you remember where saint Dubya was on 9-11-01?

Oh no-it's a vast left wing conspiracy!

MIAMI â€" When President Barack Obama and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush stand side by side at a Miami high school, it will be an opportunity for the Democrat to show a bipartisan approach to education reform while allowing the Republican to push his own nationwide message on the issue.

Getting rid of O'Bugger is *part* of rebuilding China fucker! FTFY Huggybear

Holy crap batman!

Romney the magic religious underwear republican, now has mc can't in his corner...

now the GOP freak show is really on a roll.....

Wow, that's some serious insight, by a Rethuglican no less. Our countries most personable candidate of the past. He really nailed it playing bass for Ted Nugent on his raunchy hit, "Cat Scratch Fever"--an odd musical choice for a former Baptist minister.

lyric excerpt:

I make the pussy purr with
The stroke of my hand
They know they gettin' it from me
They know just where to go
When they need their lovin man
They know I do it for free

They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever

Huckabee was swinging and saying to this, it was hilarious

Do you realize how many budget bills are sitting on Harry Reid's desk waiting to move to the senate floor,

Well, there's the Ryan one, but not even the GOPpers want that. Hell, even Ryan has done a 180 on it. Not even Ryan has mentioned it since Boner got it passed by the idiots in Congress. Seems adding more debt while throwing granny off the cliff doesn't sit well, even with tea baggers.

I'll keep granny. Throw the libtards off the cliff.

freedom and republicans...two words that never did match....

#43 | POSTED BY PATRIOTWOMAN23

How in the hell has he been anti-middle class? You throw a lot of shit around without backing up your assertions. What the hell is the point of coming on here to throw your bullshit around without any intention of convincing someone of an alternative POV?

Nobody will take you at your word when all we know about you is that you consider yourself a patriot. You have any interest in getting your point across? Support your shit! Otherwise why the hell are you here? You must be hurting for attention if you come on here just to spout nonsense.

And to your point about the president visiting high schools....how is this any different than any president has ever done through out this modern era? You think Clinton didn't visit high schools? Bush #1 or Reagan? You think the POTUS should not visit high schools because you're worried about it costing to much to the tax payer? You have taken this Tea Party, government over-spending mindset way too far. And you're monicker of PatriotWoman does not provide you any credibility than anyone else would have here. There is a reason why people link their shit!

-That quote alone inspires some respect for Huckabee.

why? It's not that bold of a statement.

Like it was point out earlier, he didn't say it on Fox and all he said was "many republicans".

many? how many?

who? name names then, Mike.

But he didn't. Makes me wonder if he even believes what he said.

I don't disagree with what he says but rather he should have the balls to name names.

He's not alone. Many more need to name names. have some balls.

You are a fool, and the problem blocking digging us out of this juggernaut.

#43 | Posted by patriotwoman23

wow...that would make me one powerful fool. Like maybe Mitch McConnell who isn't interested in doing anything for middle class America only beating Obama in 2012?

Nope...not that powerful unfortunately...just an observer. The fools are the Republican party (and apparently you too) who think Americans can't see who is doing the all the footdragging.

You are certainly no Patriot. And probably not a real woman either.

Ask not what your country can do for you Bonerboy, ask what you can do for your country. Dick Service needs help.

52--Why? Because he spoke out more or less against his own party? But you're right: name names; make more specific comments and proposals. But that would suggest he's running. And I did say "some respect." : )

You have taken this Tea Party, government over-spending mindset way too far.

patriotwoman is no more against government spending and pork barrel politics than Pelosi. Like every other "fiscal conservative" here she only embraced the idea when there was a Democrat in Office. Romney gets elected and wants to borrow another trillion to give Paris Hilton a permanent tax cut, or start a war against some country that is no threat to the US, she'll be first in line chanting, "borrow, baby, borrow".

Kind of like Krugman you mean?

Romney the magic religious underwearer lives by the sea. He talks to the the visible man,to what we will never see. Now Mitt and his fine republican they don't have a clue. But little billy health care will be cancelled very soon. Oh Romney the magic religious underwearer lives by the sea..He soon will take away even a women right to choose. An don't go getting married, to anyone of the same sex. Cause Romney and his republican control freaks will not let it happen for you. Oh Romney the magic religious underwearer lives by the sea,and he wants to control you, just you wait and see.

Come on people sing it....

OK guys and gals, here are the facts. We are now 15 trillion in debt. That is about $50,000 per person in this republic. If we taxed ALL the "rich" at a rate of 100%, the deficit would still be around one trillion dollars. Liberal or conservative, no one can be for the continued existence of our government unless there is serious cuts in spending. Now who's sacred cow is going to be slaughtered? There is the rub. No one I see with a "D" is willing to stop the red ink, since Obama has been in office there has been NO budget passed, just a series of continuing resolutions. We are looking at Armageddon. Hyperinflation, civil unrest and the real possibility of a civil war are now in the cards. If it comes down to the "nut-cutting" the next revolution will be between the ones that do and the ones that don't. I am not a betting man, but from what I have seen of the left, it is in the same position the cavaliers were when Charles I was roughened by Cornwallis and his head was separated from his body. Where will all the pony tailed Burdock wearing liberals go? France, like their comrades in the 17th century? Nope, that land is now controlled by Muslims. I guess the winners could put the losers into some sort of penal slavery, which is what happens to the losing side historically, if the winners are unusually humane.

Republicans and freedom... two words that don't match...

communist, is anti god.... non believers...

Religions, on the other hand is a manmade business for profit!

Socialism, is about equality

Fascism, is about a few people controling wealth " the 1 percenters"

Redistribution of wealth, is what the government employees are taking today from private sector jobs.
