Florida Panthers forward Krys Barch was ejected after reportedly directing a racial slur at a Montreal Canadiens player Saturday night. Barch was given a game misconduct after a dustup at the end of the first period in Florida's 3-2 win. The Miami Herald, citing an unidentified league official, said linesman Darren Gibbs overheard Barch use the slur against P.K. Subban, whose parents are Jamaican.

Panthers forward Krys Barch was ejected after reportedly directing a racial slur at a Montreal player Saturday night, and Florida coach Kevin Dineen said it was now a matter for the NHL to investigate.

And just like that, a Panama City icon is born.

In our Brave New World it is worse to call someone a name than to club them with a hockey stick.

Kudos for Darren Gibbs for pointing it out. Digusting to see his teammates actually call him a good guy, and the coach to actually make light of the situtaton. Fucking morons.

In the Alice in Wonderland world of liberalism the worst offense is to call someone a nigger and if libs could get another count of "bullying" added on they could push for the lib version of the death penalty.

So much for sports being about who's the best. It's who complies.

Pat Tillman kicks their ass even today, and even if he never said "____". He got executed for a thought crime - intention of telling the USA via sports-fame that AFPAK wars for poppies are wrong, and quit the pills!

Words have meaning and censorship violates the 1st amendment - putting that into on-field-rules pushes the oppressive agenda another step down the "Rollarball" of "corporate wars". Rollerball 1975 Craig Amabello's MashUp / Re-Edit . You're supposed to believe that "No player is greater than the game itself". Some are!

Johnathan doesn't really need the game either.

You really can't understand? That is fucked up.

If the Jamaican had his teeth bashed out with a cheap shot everyone would have cheered but don't call him the "N" word.

If the Jamaican had his teeth bashed out with a cheap shot everyone would have cheered but don't call him the "N" word.

Yeah, about that...

Not everyone would have cheered. In fact, there would have probably been more boos than cheers despite the fact that "the Jamaican" aka P K Subban was on the away team cos real fans don't dig on cheap shots that cause injuries. Also, he woulda gotten a five minute major penalty and maybe been ejected from the game and in the worst case scenarios charged with a criminal offense.

But you were right about not calling people the N word in an attempt to anger them.

Except we are not entirely sure that was the slur in question according to TFA.

FTFA: "I know it was some sort of a game misconduct," he said. "I'm not sure what was said or how it was relayed or who exactly heard it. We're not aware of the exact words in any way and we don't think we'll ever find out.

But other than all that? Spot on!

Be Well.

Wow I'm glad I read this one. Some uppity lib wench called me an "Old Dago sonofabitch" for ogling her in the checkout line this morning.
I will now sue the store cuz I know how bad I feel.

Nobody under 55 uses the word Dago anymore lol.

The young people still use the same disparaging words that the old ones used.
A Pollock is still a Pollack. I heard the term "Wetback" in the 50's - still in vogue today. Dago is used all the time on TV.

#12 - Nah, those old terms are just used as jokes to ridicule the racism of old grandpa bastards. They used dago on an episode of SNL and I had to google it to know what it meant.

Anyone can tell you that using the "n" word is only permissible in the case of one black talking to or about another black.

Seems like we need a lot of sensitivity training for the NHL, taught by Chris Rock.

I don't. Who wants to live in a world where every D-bag is just spouting their opinion whenever they feel like it, whether you want to hear it or not? Sounds like a shitty place. At least online you can shut down the browser.

I long for a place where kicking a persons ass would be allowed if the person was a dbag.

You need to get back to the prison life, JA.

Why stop at on-the-ice racism? Send some of Barry's thought police into the stands to find out if people are saying or thinking things like nigger or fag and then throw them out too.

But say anything about Tebow and it's okay.

#21 - people are saying racist things to Tebow?

Uhhh, dim bulb, I know commenting on subjects that you know nothing about is kind of your thing, but the punishment for clubbing the guy with a stick would have been more severe than getting ejected from the game.

The N-word can be used. It's the nuisance of how it's used.

First, there must a an "a" at the end, not an "r".

Then, the word has to originate from one; another nigga that is, not a nigger.

The blatant racism in hockey is obvious: "white" ice is the good thing that makes everything slide so well and the "black" puck is the bad thing that everyone kicks and smashes around. But what about all the "bullying" that goes on with the body checking and hitting. Someone needs to call Barry's thought police to see what their intentions really are.

Someone needs to call Barry's thought police to see what their intentions really are.

Someone needs to get a brain.

Wow, what back woods state did the majority of you come from. It sickens me to no end some of the comments forwarded. The on ice official heard what he heard and was able to go directly to the culprit from more than 20 ft away. Now the low life Panther players that sat on either side of this p#^*k and pretend they never heard anything are worse than Barch. The unwritten code of backing up your team mates only goes so far. When it comes to racism or over the top violence on the ice this puts them in the same light as Barch.

I hope Barch has to deal with the ridicule of this insult the rest of his playing career.

Krys, go back to the hills where you and Billy-Bob once played pond hockey and live out your miserable life with your own kind.
