Given this is a message-board website infested with white, upper middle-class American liberal faggots who go to painstaking lengths to express their solidarity with non-Christian, pagan concepts of the human condition, I'm surprised no one has given mad-props to the Holy Day.

I guess Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert didn't have a funny little offering to the "informed" segments of American popular culture on their respective television programs tonight.

Seems like everybody forgot about it :(

Meanwhile, the kinds of people who don't ride trains to work and live in high-rise "flats" are kindly excited about the fact the days just get longer and longer from this day forward.

Really? Then why do they call this the beginning of Winter rather than the end? Why doesn't Winter start in June when the days start getting shorter? July and August always seem warmer than June here... why would that be, what with there being less daylight?
