Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, December 19, 2011

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots shut down Tim Tebow's late-game heroics and clinched a playoff berth with a 41-23 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Tebow was 11 of 22 for 194 yards and added 93 more on 12 carries. Late in the fourth quarter, he was dropped for a 28-yard sack.

Each start I've left the game when its over
Not knowiiiing a loss come throwing time
But tonight
I was sacked all over
I couldn't scramble or pass
once they crossed the line

Toniiiight
the Jeebus
let me down

and let the Patriots come around

The one true friend I thought I found

Toniiiight
the Jeebus
let me down

I've always had a Jeebus that I could turn to
never had a loss come final time
But the faith don't take effect the way it used to
and I'm hurtin in an old familiar way

Toniiiight
the Jeebus let me down....

At what? He is a carnival sideshow.

I knew god was a Pats fan.

Talk about crucifixion Tebow was hung up!

Even Jesus was cringing.

Perhaps he should of threw more hail Marry's.

I can go all day long....

After the game, Tom Brady should have said "where is your God now, Tebow?"

#8 | POSTED BY RCADE AT 2011-12-19 10:12 AM

Why?

"After the game, Tom Brady should have said "where is your God now, Tebow?""

To me, Tebow hasn't really done anything that would warrant a backlash against him personally.

There are some people who try to make Tebow's success into something it isn't and they are the ones who are annoying.

God had obviously bet big on Stafford and the Lions.

For you teaboners:

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Make me, oh make me, Lord more than I am
Make me a piece in your master game plan
Free from the earthly tempestion below
I've got the will, Lord if you've got the toe.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Take all the brothers who've gone on before
And all of the sisters who've knocked on your door
All the departed dear loved ones of mine
Stick'em up front in the offensive line.

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

Yeah, Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life
End over end neither left nor to right
Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights
Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life.

"teaboners" really?

I see you are thinking about hard cock already this morning.

Don't worry, the religious take this as proof of G-d too. See, Tebow was starting to get full of himself and forgot it was G-d and not him doing these feats and G-d simply had to smack Tebow down.

Oddly enough he still wonders why people call him northgay

I like Tebow. He's from my part of Florida and I've been hearing about him since he was 16. I just think it's hysterically funny when people attribute sports success to God.

Maybe the Right Wing in America is correct, and G-d is a Patriot.

I love how HuffPo is taking joy in the loss as if somehow this is a win for the atheists. Oh well, Team Atheist lost Hitchens and Kim Jong Il over the weekend so they had to look for something positive.

If he urged everyone to fight global warming every time he was interviewed, the left would be shedding tears for their secular saint.

I just think it's hysterically funny when people attribute sports success to God.

The Catholic church I went to as a child (St. Marks/Plano) was where Roger Staubach went in his heyday with the Cowboys. During the football season, Father Smyth would always say a special prayer for Roger's success during the game. That was about the time I started questioning all this religion BS that got me to the atheist I am today.

During the off season my grandmother, a huge Cowboy fan, would drive all the was from Denison on Sunday for mass just so she could see him.

Oh well, Team Atheist lost Hitchens and Kim Jong Il over the weekend so they had to look for something positive.

True. But was Kim Jong Il an atheist if he believed himself to be a god?

Yes, because he suffered from depression and often didn't believe in himself.

As I recall, Tebow has always said he doesn't believe God "helps" a particular team in a game. They pray for the safety of the players and that they do their best.

They pray for the safety of the players and that they do their best.

Kind of stupid that they pray for safety and then play a game that requires them to smash into each other as hard as possible. If they were really safety conscious, they would not play football.

God helps those who help themselves.

"During the football season, Father Smyth would always say a special prayer for Roger's success during the game."

Now THAT'S clergy abuse. Hang 'em.

According to Jesus, Tom Brady is the nephew of God or something like that...

Doh! They pulled the video already.

Tebow simply went up against the real God Tom Brady.

Let's see how long it lasts on YouTube...

No they didn't; G-d simply has redone yesterday. Soon, we will all catch up with the new time line and forget all about this story.

I just think it's hysterically funny when people attribute sports success to God.

got a link or r u makin' shit up .. again?

from what I've seen Tebow is thankful for life .. not passing yardage

~ for his successes he credits his team-mates

Tebow's day not ruined by high-profile loss to Patriots

I see you are thinking about hard cock already this morning.

Actually, I was thinking of boner=mistake, but you and Goatsy seem to be organ focused.

Oh well, Team Atheist lost Hitchens and Kim Jong Il over the weekend so they had to look for something positive.

Havel died surrounded by nuns. Didn't save his ass. Your point?

Kim Jong dies and Tebow suddenly loses...coinsidence?

but you and Goatsy seem to be organ focused.

???

What organ am i supposedly focused on, northgay? And why do you want me to be focused on it so badly you have to put words into my mouth?

Is it any wonder people call you northgay?

I hope Tebow excels as an NFL QB. In a league with more than its share felons with drugs and guns, it's nice to see a kid with real honest to "GOD" character! I will root for him every time out EXCEPT vs. the PATS!

JM

I was never a fan of Tebow, but he is starting to grow on me. I have yet to hear him tell anyone else how to live their life. He just happens to have very strong beliefs, and he chooses to share them publicly. Not my cup of tea, but it works for him. He has endured more ridicule than any other QB in modern history, yet he just keeps plugging away, never once saying anything disrespectful of other people. Ya gotta dig that!

I have yet to hear him tell anyone else how to live their life.

Who has done this? Except maybe the commissioner.

He has endured more ridicule than any other QB in modern history,

You obviously were out of the country for the last 3 Favre unretirements and text pictures.

You obviously were out of the country for the last 3 Favre unretirements and text pictures.

okay, fair enough..Favre was taken to task for that but that was for his poor choice of behavior and the way he treated teammates and his "texting".

I guess it would make the Tebow ankle biters here feel better if he were to get caught outside a strip club at 4 AM when someone is getting shot or start have pit bull fights at his house or father 6 kids out of wedlock.

I think what folks really want is for Tebow to overdose on a cocktail of pills and wind up having a bunch of sperm pumped out of his stomach.

Pro 24:16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.

"I have yet to hear him tell anyone else how to live their life."

Evangelicals are never afraid to share with others what they need to do to gain "salvation". Have never heard Tebow try to evangelize. He leads by example, not by words.

"He has endured more ridicule than any other QB in modern history"

Favre couldn't let go, and was equally lauded & ridiculed for his wavering on retirement. Teams still sought his services, and he had a Pro Bowl season in 2009. Tebow was/is ridiculed consistently for his "inability" to play NFL QB like a traditional QB, along with most who wish him ill will because of his beliefs.

Liberalism poisons everything. The war on Christianity continues.

Does God intervene in human affairs? Doesn't seem to judging by the situations throughout the world. Man has free will and uses it mostly to do what he knows he shouldn't. Then complains about the results. Faith can move mountains as long as the faithful have a lot of bull dozers and a lot of energy to use them.

Tebow Runs Out of Miracles .. (?)

.. yet Tebow has gotten NYT, CNN, CBS, ABC, ESPN, etc AND Drudge Retort all to discuss GOD & Jesus for days & weeks
~ Tom Brady admitted to some covert praying

hmmmmm .. that sounds kinda like a miracle to me

~ jackass even requested his plastic Jesus returned to his cell ..

Tebow is not much of a passer, though to his credit, he throws few interceptions. He makes up for that to a large degree by being a good runner, which makes him a decent offensive threat. However, it's harder to run in the NFL than in college, especially against good defenses--see Detroit. I give the coaching staff at Denver credit for using what they have--great adaptability. They might even make the playoffs, which I never expected. But I don't see Tebow having a real long career in the NFL if he doesn't learn to pass better.

gee wiz the invisible man did not help him... well so much for religion!

What in hell is wrong with our little "progressive" friends? They will defend to the core and honor those who are absolutely corrupt and have harmed millions, then turn around and bash Tim Tebow who has done absolutely no harm to anyone.

Obligatory -
