After TSA baggage screeners at the Denver airport found a half ounce of weed in rapper Freddie Gibbs's luggage, they left it there with a note that read, "C'mon son." Gibbs shared a photo of the weed and note on Twitter.

idiot. i feel bad for that tsa screener.

He is lucky it was not found in one of the Nazi or backwoods states. You just got your freepass dumbass.

When was the last time a TSA screener stopped a terrorist?

When was the FIRST time anyone rom the TSA stopped a terrorist?

From a logical standpoint, what stupid questions these are! That's like asking, "When was the last time a flu vaccination stopped anyone from getting the flu?" The answer, of course (sorry I have to explain this to you and bore the readers with a brain) is that there is no way of knowing whether the person would have gotten the flu or not without the shot.

Honestly, a little logic goes a long way. Indulge yourself!

How many terrorist successfully brought down a plane after getting pass TSA?

Amazing - for once someone in the government is content with leaving a note rather than being a prick.

How many terrorist successfully brought down a plane with weed?
as they say in the nfl... "good no call ref"

4--Well, there's deterrent and then there's actual stopping. Your point works if the goal is deterrent. But then, mightn't we also expect that the TSA would catch someone, stop them before they get on the plane?

But you know, my elephant repellent works very well. Look! No elephants!

That's classified.

Good think you lefties are covering each others' backs. Jrod was still trying to figure out how to extricate himself from that one!

Sadly, you are just as wrong, downerboi

But you know, my elephant repellent works very well. Look! No elephants!

Spud has a rock that keeps tigers away.

So far it's working like a charm.

Be Well.

They stopped leaving those little cards in my bags once there were about 10 of them. I never take them out.

Bun B that's Texas Baby!

When I was still using drugs, I always had my stuff in my brief case. Never took a 1/2 ounce of weed, though. Mainly booger-sugar. Well hidden.

No, I keep them to remind them how often they go through my things.

How sad that you are so dismally stupid that you couldn't figure that out from the context of my post, dummerboy, and I have to explain the obvious to you.

How do you manage in life?

#4 Goat...

Your premis would be correct if every documented attempt to get a bomb on board a plane here in the US hadn't glided right through security, only to have the passengers be the ones to intervene and apprehend the would be terrorist...

And, if TSA hadn't on multiple occasions allowed people on board who should never have been there...

TSA has a perfect track record of failure...

Unless TSA's goal is to inconvenience law abiding travelers and lull them into a false sense of security; then they are spot on...

That is common sense...

And, this rapper is a moron for bringing this to TSA's attention. Now any bag inspectors with an "ounce" of dignity will be afraid to do the right thing...

And, the reasonable guy who gave him a pass will most likely be fired for his trouble...

But, Freddie Gibbs will get a tiny bit of press from it, so there's that...

Thank you Mr. Gibbs for helping to insure that the rest of us are just that much less likely to get a free pass ourselves...

So using your logic, if there was no TSA, no one would ever bring weapons on a plane with bad intent.

Sorry. I don't buy that. I'm old enough to remember before security screenings at airports and hijackings to Cuba were vogue. (my grandfather used to take me to Love Field in Dallas and he would walk right up to a plane and look at it, but I digress) I've seen no evidence in later years to believe that this trend would not continue. Indeed, I see every reason to think it would increase. I think it's rather Pollyannaish to think otherwise

I am not saying that there isn't a need for security; that would be an unarguable position...

My argument is that TSA is an extremely expensive and mostly ineffectual government agency. This is also unarguable...

My argument is that TSA is an extremely expensive and mostly ineffectual government agency.

If it is mostly ineffectual, what is the point in keeping them around?

But OK. You do agree that security at airports is necessary. What would you do to change it? Obviously the no patdowns of babies and grannies, but getting rid of that will not save money. What would you do to cut costs and also keep the skies safe?

He is lucky it was not found in one of the Nazi or backwoods states. You just got your freepass dumbass.

Really? It is ILLEGAL, it should not be, but it is.

It is a Federal crime and the inspector should be FIRED for not doing his/her job.

But you know, my elephant repellent works very well. Look! No elephants!

Damn I must have got a bad batch.

#23 Goat...

So, you are arguing that we keep a wholly inefficient, bloated and expensive bureaucracy due to the fact that it is all we have???

My point is, if it doesn't work, is expensive and intrusive into the civil rights of Americans, fix it, or get rid of it...

Wow, I sound like the fiscal conservative...

If that is your argument, what's your problem with dept of education, the EPA or the myriad of other government bureaucracies that you guys complain about???

So, you are arguing that we keep a wholly inefficient, bloated and expensive bureaucracy due to the fact that it is all we have???

Of course not. That's why I asked you in post 23 how you would cut costs and maintain security and safe skies.

If that is your argument, what's your problem with dept of education, the EPA or the myriad of other government bureaucracies that you guys complain about???

You'll have to ask those people you call "you guys". I don't have any specific complaints -- just the general one I have about every single federal government endeavor or beaurocracy -- they are bloated and ineffecient and I don't feel my tax dollars are well spent supporting them.

If he at least confiscated the punk's bottle of water, I'm good with it.

Freddie Gibbs and his Hollywood promoters have connections that most of us average serfs do not ever dream of having.

The FG profiteers thrive and profit off of others and always to the benefit of their own. The advantages go to tribal interests at the expense of others. Some attempt to portray tribal as only Muslims...and that is incorrect. If you are not in the tribe you will get nothing. The corrupt tribal aspect needs exposed because it contaminates the USA.

Most of us attempt to thrive and profit from our own efforts and hard work. That is the big difference between most Americans and the thieves and lechers of Hollywood and politics.

A very effective Irish 2 minute video that needs spread across the planet. Yes Irish are tribal too.

Which cases are you talking about?

Does anyone believe this actually happened?

C'mon Son

#30 redial...

Underwear bomber, shoe bomber, condom bomber, shooters in LA...

Here is some fun reading:
www.petergreenberg.com

Check out the "criticism" link here:
en.m.wikipedia.org

The TSA's annual budget is 8.1 billion...

In over a decade, at the cost of over 80 billion dollars, TSA has not convicted one person for terrorism...

Underwear bomber, shoe bomber, condom bomber, shooters in LA...

Well, the "Underwear Bomber" and "Shoe Bomber" were not screened by the TSA and frankly didn't have actual functioning bombs in either case.

Who was the "Condom Bomber"? That doesn't ring a bell.

And who were/are the "shooters in LA"?

#33 Redial...

They were screened by TSA partners under TSA regulations, and through TSA protocol...

TSA is responsible for all flights within the US, as-well-as all international flights ending in the US...

And, thankfully for the folks on those flights the bombs weren't functional. Because otherwise there fate would have been in the hands of TSA...

The shooters in LA shot some people at a ticket counter...

The condom bomber was a dip-shit who came in from Amsterdam...
