Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

A small Kentucky church in Pike County voted to ban interracial couples from membership and worship activities. The Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church made the decision after a visit by Stella Harville, 24, the daughter of the church's secretary and clerk, and her fiance Ticha Chikuni, 29, a native of Zimbabwe. "It sure ain't Christian. It ain't nothing but the old devil working," Harville said.

Stella Harville, daughter of the church's secretary plus Ticha Chikuni, a native of Zimbabwe?

40 years later, there will be another birth certificate hunt, this time in Kentucky (not Hawaii) and in Zimbabwe (not Kenya) and Gov. of Kentucky will claim, "I saw the kid being born back then" despite obviously fake PDF and daddy will run off back to Africa and then there will be a solar power company going kaput and then..... you get the idea.

"History repeats itself... first time as a tragedy, second time as a joke"... Karl Marx.

"History repeats itself... first time as a tragedy, second time as a joke"... Karl Marx.

It's even worse than that: "first as tragedy, then as farce."

Or, as Mark Twain once (perhaps) observed: "History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme."

"Daddy, guess who's coming for dinner?"

Interracial Couple Banned From Kentucky Church

He wanted the original receipe religion; she wanted the extra crispy.

If Jesus had married a white woman he'd have been rejected by these ignorant POS.

The Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church?

They might consider changing their name to The Gulnare Ourwill Baptist Church.

If Jesus had married a white woman he'd have been rejected by these ignorant POS.

What? You trying to say jesus ain't white?

Probably "white" in the light-chocolate-to-mocha sense, not "white" as in, well, white.

The ex-pastor says his resolution was "taken out of context."
Ha. Got caught being a racist asshole, did ya?

Jesus was my color SNOT... not yours.

And neither did he look like a hippie.

And his middle name wasn't "Henry" or "Ford" or "Henry Ford".

Odd, as this guy is proably the only black person in the whole county.

this is a county I think Obama failed to get a single vote in.....seriously.

"this is a county I think Obama failed to get a single vote in.....seriously."

Actually, Obama got 42% of the vote in Pike Co., KY, which is 97.5% white.

He didn't carry a gun neither.

Here's a reconstruction of an ancient Jew: sawiggins.files.wordpress.com who looks uncannily like Robert Reich. Interesting piece here: www.popularmechanics.com

"He didn't carry a gun neither."

He didn't? And look what happened to him. So, that must be by God created the NRA!

I need to look that up. maybe it was the primary and it was another county very close to Pike. I was still living in Kentucky for the primary and I swear there was a county in Eastern KY that didn't not cast a single vote for Obama.

I remember seeing a rebel flag flying at a public school in Pikeville one time though. unbelievable.

be by = be why

Racism and extremism always
defy common sense.

politics.nytimes.com

it shows by county....Obama did get 7% of the vote in the primary vs Hillary in Pike.

Maybe I was watching the election results on TV before all the votes were in and he was getting zero at the time.

anyway......Eastern KY is not a place I suspect Obama will spend much time campaigning next time. LOL

No, I don't think it'll be on the itinerary.

It's probably safe to say that Jesus didn't act Black. Therefore, he was a cracker by definition.

"No, I don't think it'll be on the itinerary."

If Obama avoids all the places where people have come to realize what a liar he is then it will be a short bus ride.

Please, Freddy, leave this to the adults.

What does "act Black" mean?

Did I wake up in 1960 and nobody told me?

No Dark Meat in White Mouths?

The adults already left, yet you remain.

RCADE,

I traveled Eastern KY from 2007-2008 training new commercial insurance agents.

It's more like 1860. pure white ghetto.

lol

I know you are, but what am I?

a native of Zimbabwe

The guy is closer to Christ than anyone else in that Church. Like Jesus, this guy was African too.

BTW, my #20 illustrates that not all of the racists are in the GOP.

It's a church. In fucking Kentucky.

What do you expect?

I'm blessed to go to a church that doesn't meddle in people's personal lives. You can come for personal support, but no one is there to tell you who to marry or what to do. Our preacher and his wife are interracial even. Love, tolerance, and joy in good Christian fellowship.

Also, that bitch is fugly.

[Translation:]
I go through life drunk, fat and atupid.
.......signed fake doc

My point is that Obama is a liar. Are you so stupid that you need proof of that? Try Fact Check.

Did I wake up in 1960 and nobody told me?

Seems to me sometimes that we are still trying to escape from a weird interdimensional Time Warp that Bush Error created.

But, then again, every time I travel back east I gain 3 hours but lose 10 years.

While I disagree with the church's decision (based on my reading of Scripture) I think we need to also realize that a church isn't an 'anything goes' forum.

Where the Bible speaks... then it's fine to preach it. Where the Bible's silent - liberty. I don't see any Biblical hurdle for a mixed race couple.

A church needs to think long and hard before barring certain people from attending.

Probably "white" in the light-chocolate-to-mocha sense, not "white" as in, well, white.

He was a descendant of King David, who the texts describe as, "ruddy and fair".... light-skinned, reddish hair... possibly freckles.

But he could have had any features of previous relatives.

This church, however, is "Cracker White" on the Sherwin-Williams scale.

#36 Live or Die: Our preacher and his wife are interracial even

The only thing I find in the New Testament warning about marriage is when a believer wants to marry an unbeliever. It never mentions skin color or race. And the Apostle Paul even addressed such 'mixed marriages' in Corinth where one spouse becomes a believer some time after marriage.

Shut up, Wanker of Goats. Don't need your particular brand spoogey spewage here.

SNOT's faith has been shaken to it's foundations when he realized Jesus isn't "white".

Bhangee.... there is a lot you have to learn and a lot I will teach you. Be patient.

"Kentucky Church Bans Interracial Couples"

Okay, I went to the article, looked at the picture. I think I want to ban this interracial marriage. Ticha can do better. In KY it might only be the busted ones that are willing to venture beyond the booty call on the low and actually be seen with an black guy. I suggest a change of venue and a do-over.

"Return of Messiah... this time as a Republican".

The "pastor" of that lily-white congregation is quoted as fearing that his edict would give that Kentucky temple a "black eye." Does anyone else find that hilarious? herm

Sorry. Bad link above. Here be the good one:

There are US Federal laws concerning bestiality,

I bet there are also US Federal laws concerning in-breeding.... but here you are ... born into this world and posting away.

Agreed, that bitch is futt bucking ugly.

Now, back to Scripture for my daily studies.

I'm blessed to go to a church that doesn't meddle in people's personal lives.

that is what us Catholics call a "cult". what's the point if you can't meddle in people's personal lives?

:-)

Harville said the resolution was motivated by racism and has given the church, the community, the county and even God a black eye.

...and that's pretty tough because, from what I've heard, that God guy has some pretty quick reflexes.

The pot lucks are nice. We have some good classes for married couples, good instruction on personal betterment, and we do a lot of community service. Plus there's the seasonal blood soaked animal slaughter / orgy.

"seasonal blood soaked animal slaughter / orgy"

Now you've gone and given Tosser a woodie.

This 'church' needs to be stripped of it's tax exempt status immediately.

Mine eyes have seen the Zebra
Birthin a bunch of Oreos
We can't have these Heathen bastards
Taking up our Church's rows
We must throw them out and hate them
So that Jesus can know
We didn't grasp his words

So does that, like, mean you're getting some?

Maybe they just think Stella is ugly, and wanted to use this as an excuse to kick her out of the church?

Wow, I consider myself a Christian, although not a very good one.

How can these people even think that they are leading a Christ like life?

Unless we ourselves are members of Pike Church we really don't have much right to say anything about this. This is the freedom of association the 1st amemdment was talking about. It sounds like Pike Church is nothing I would want to associate myself with and the mere thought that Pike Church even considered standing in the way of this marriage or even whispering behind their backs should be reason enough for this young couple to find themselves another church. They look like nice kids and they shouldn't allow themselves to be subjected to this and they're leaving I'm sure will prove to be Pike Church's loss.

Nah, as wrong as this is in both our minds, all churches have the right to assemble any way they want to. The 1st amendment is quite specific in that the government can't tell churches what to do in these matters. All you and I can do about it is not be members of a church such as this and I would hope to think this nice bright couple will choose to do the same as well as many, if not the majority, of its current parishioners who will take their financial offerings elsewhere as well.

we really don't have much right to say anything about this.

Of course we have the right to say plenty about this. It's Free Speech. Letting the bigots know they are looked upon as ugly toads by the rest of America might influence them to educate themselves and find out what Jesus was actually teaching. "Love thy neighbor" shouldn't be changed to "Love thy white neighbor".

Especially since Jesus wasn't white and the people who wrote the bible weren't white either.

Sure, we can SAY what we want to about this. I'll say it - it's wrong - but I'm not a member of some backwater hillbilly church in Kentucky so what I say or you say has no influence over backwater hillbillies in Kentucky. You and I can't make hateful people loving people even when it is they CLAIM to be loving people. I would like to think good people in this church will leave this church or replace the leadership of the church but we ourselves are powerless in this situation.

We hold the opinion of a majority of people. I think public discussion would help the situation if those parishoners actually saw what other Christians and people in general think of their position. People can learn and change their opinion if faced with greater logic. I wouldn't call that powerless.

The guy is looking for any way to become a United States citizen, or he's legally blind and has no sense of touch.

Neither one of them is a looker but I have given up 20 years of my life to defend all (ugly included) Americans in their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I wish them well. Even in Kentucky.

so what I say or you say has no influence over backwater hillbillies in Kentucky

......yes it does..........
.....they may have the freedom to associate, but we have the freedom to speak, and call attention to discrimination and ignorance....it's only by naming the evil that it can be diminished, and eventually eliminated.....
......we critize Muslims without restraint for their behavior, no reason to hold back on these Christians.......

but we ourselves are powerless in this situation.
#73 | Posted by SlammoFandango

.....don't underestimate the power of honest speech, it's what dictators, religions, and fascists fear the most......

"they ain't a bunch o redneck racists maw,
they's just good ole' boys"...

(yaaaaaaaaaaahhhh right)...

hate can never truly be eradicated,
but with time, and demographic changes,
it can most certainly be MARGINALIZED...

the racist south is in great need of
being MARGINALIZED...

"The guy is looking for any way to become a United States citizen, or he's legally blind and has no sense of touch."

Or his standards aren't yours. (shrug) I don't find her attractive, but maybe he does. My wife, I think, is quite hot; maybe you wouldn't agree. But Jesus, what an asshole remark.

I bet Washboard's name refers to his stomach and that he's more attractive than George Clooney.
