Rest in peace.

I'm confused, in one blog religious people are retarded , and now it's some one you like and it's rest in peace. Why do you think he's resting ,and why would you wish him peace. He's just a dead piece of meat that the bugs will consume all part of evolution so who cares. Died with a smile on his face,I wonder, did he do like iratabletoichi and yell out Jesus suck my dick first? Now I'm far from a religious person, have not been to church in 40 years since the military But I always am baffled when people who bash or don't believe always resort back to these feelings at the end.

Excellent question, if entirely misunderstood and a bit misplaced on an honored obituary thread. I'm going to be blunt.
You read like an asshole - why did you ignore my poem to Sean Quinn or what I've written about Thanksgiving?
I would never say such hurtful things about Jesus or other true ideals - and that's what makes me lack the conviction of a religious absurdist - I know the line. You obviously have a grudge against religion and have indeed been effected by it. Perhaps we both have.
And that is my point - social retardation is the stemming of societal growth. "Faith" that commit themselves to, say, elimination of homosexuals is obviously retarded and selectively persecuting a harmless minority, even codifying their sexuality as "in league with evil". Many minorities have been persecuted in this similar manner.
When religions control a societies education they are always misled, lied to and persecuted for even questioning what those shackles are for, let alone making scientific advancements that contradict their religious doctrine. Consider Texas Scholastic Board attempting to remove Thomas Jefferson and the Age of Enlightenment entirely. That is evil, and they will continue their agenda of re-writing history and falsifying science with religious dogma instead.
Anyhow, these ancient burial traditions predate all known beliefs and are mainly for us, the survivors, not just the deceased.
Consider how religion perverted the meaning of "Halloween" because of jealousy and fear over how people are revered even in death. It's a ceremony marking the beginning of the new year - a time to remember those who did not live to see it.
I purposefully go out of my way to avoid killing things - worms, ants, moths, "pests". They fascinate me, and their perfection is baffling. That isn't religion, it's respect for myself and for others. If you can't "get it", then I suppose the only manner you might is to change your perspective. You won't, so why ask me fruitcake bullshit about religions? They are all demoralizing to someone, they all have agendas against someone.
This thread is for giving praise to and remembrance of a fine director in the common human expression for the deceased.
